  1. I don't think it’s crowded at all – everything is displayed in categories and flows perfectly. It's very simple, easy to navigate, user-friendly and fast loading. Richard has done a great job of bringing an old “template” design into a flexible cutting edge website. Good work I say.
  2. Search the database for the ride you want to add, then just underneath the ride's name it says "Add to your counter".
  3. Man that is awesome! It's so easy to read and follow. Love the simplicity. Great work Richard, I’m definitely going to subscribe.
  4. Richard, do you have any pictures of the chains or any more of the lift (other than in the Scooby gallery)? Do the chains follow a channel or are they guided by pulleys? Does one motor and chain operate both lift carriages? Thanks.
  5. Everything about your post doesn't make sense... But it would be awesome if it was true.
  6. Hey Matt, I would like to see Movie World.
  7. Does Reptar follow a standard Vekoma layout (e.g. like the junior coaster at Movie World) or is it custom? Never been on it but it looks a good ride. Thanks.
  8. Do you have any more info on this ghost train? Website, pictures, videos, description.... ? Thanks.
  9. Scooby has state-of-the-art special effects with animatronics, music, smoke and lasers. What effects are on Eureka? I can't remember them being as good as on Scooby. I like western themeing as well (especially Wild West Falls), but I still think Scooby has better themeing and ride experience - from what I can remember anyway. Come on... there must be other people who have been on both these rides?
  10. As one of Australia’s very few steel wild mouse roller coasters I think they have done a great job with varying track effects and a good balance between corners, dips, and drops. It really comes down to a matter of personal preference but I think a wild mouse style ride in an indoor environment with excellent themeing has proven to be very popular. What does everyone think of Dreamworld’s equivalent – Eureka Mountain Mine Ride?
  11. Jeremy Reid's Personal Roller Coaster is an interesting website about a man who built a wooden roller coaster in his backyard. I think he has done an awesome job - it looks great. Does anyone know of any other backyard (steel or wooden) coasters? I can only find Jeremy's ride. As for Bush Beast, I think your best bet Mr Matthews is to concentrate on Sydney's new park and forget about Wonderland's old rides. What do you say? Although I do however believe it is unlikely Sydney’s new park (if plan goes ahead) will include a wooden coaster as they may decide to only add good rides to the park. :D:D ... calm down Alex, I'm only joking.
  12. Sorry I was assuming too much. By "Australia's best coaster" I thought it was obvious that it was steel
  13. Thanks Sean. How awesome would it be to watch an entire theme park being built from nothing to finished? Keep us updated.
  14. Zordy is making a great effort to fight the removal of Bush Beast - and I respect that. But I have a suggestion that may or may not help - forget the Bush Beast, take a holiday and fly up to the gold coast and go on the best roller coaster in Australia.
  15. Thanks Paul, I'm going to assume that from now on you are going to stop adding capitals to random words during a sentence in your future posts to conform with the current Roller-Coaster.com.au guidelines. Here is an example of how it should read… Aussie World is a great park. During my research for Defunction's DB, the other Ettamogah Pub in Victoria (more a bar) also once had a defunct park attached to it. More to come though on this on site. But yeah, looks like both pubs had/ have a park. The small one in Vic wasn't much, but it looked nice enough. Nicely Aussie themed and all of that stuff. Nothing as good as Aussie World and all. But yes. Anyway, more to come in soon on this little park, including pictures.
  16. Hey, Are the boats on Vikings Revenge at Sea World attached or secured to the slide while its descending the drop? If so, how are they attached? I have looked at some photos of the drop but it is hard to determine exactly what keeps the boats on the slide. Thanks.
  17. I have taken the past thirty minutes to read through your website Paul and I think its great your standing up for what you believe in. Are you going to put together a report on the financial viability, employment opportunities and community benefits of “Mini Wonderland” as ING suggested? Why not buy the Bush Beast and adjacent land off ING and start your own mini-park? Good luck and keep us posted.
  18. Hey Zordy, So you are the Paul Matthews they are refering to?
  19. It's an indoor thrill ride with music, smoke and lighting effects. Aussie World - Rides (scroll down to "Rocking Roll Rebel")
  20. Interesting... but if you put something like that on the Harbour Bridge it would destroy the look of the bridge, don’t you think?
  21. Judging by everyone’s knowledge of the Australian tourism industry it seems Disney have made the wrong discission to have not invested in an Australian park. Anyway, has anyone got any more info on this new Sydney theme / amusement park?
  22. Hey Inverted, It's from Superman - Ultimate Flight at Six Flags. No information has been officially released from Movie World regarding track design, themeing, technical specifications except for the fact that it’s a Superman coaster.
  23. Australian Amusement Fanatics announced in 2003 that Aussie World was getting a ghost train with three other new rides. The three other rides have since been added but I can't remember seeing a ghost train when I was there January of this year (2005). Does anyone know anything about a dark ride/ghost train for Aussie World? Link: http://www.australianamusementfanatics.com...r_new_rides.htm
  24. Ok thanks. It just sounded as though it was an advertisement for the new ride (taken from the original description of Superman).
  25. Hey Inverted, Where are you getting this description from?
