  1. Yeah, I knew they weren't rails but I thought if I said poles it would sound more stupid. But yeah ramps was what I was going for, just hoping no one would notice.. Probably, but it'd fit good with the atmosphere.. True, didn't get a chance to listen to what he was saying as you were rushed through the que to the ride on the soft opening as they brought small groups in when they were ready.
  2. Something has gotta be happening with that big blank que out the front of Arkham. Like seriously, if they aren't going to use it, get rid of all the rails making it look like a que and just make it a empty spot with a bit more theming. They really should have a pre show explaining what the hell is happening, because 90% of people don't even know what the hell Arkham Asylum is and who the hell the patients, guards, inmates and voices on the audio effects are. When I rode the ride twice yesterday, all the staff were doing was explaining that Arkham is a game, who the bad and good people are etc etc to confused people.
  3. Seriously? This all sounds so pathetic. It's just 2D wallpapers, WHO CARES! I'm pretty sure mostly everyone who goes to Movie World isn't going to stand there and go.. "Oh my, this rides theming is so bad and unrealistic.. This has ruined my day!" It's not all about theming, it's the ride experience overall, which is great! I came to realize that Movie World has become a really great theme park, Just walking in just shows how fantastic all the scenery is, even small things like the bright green hedges and colourful flowers surrounding. One thing that I loved to see was the characters out a lot! I saw (a) character(s) every time I went down main street, and saw Bugs Bunny 4 times throughout the day. Anyways back to topic, the theming is great, not finished, will get better.. The 2D wallpapers aren't the best but they still look good and much better then the blank white studio walls of the Lethal Weapon. You can see the tower from the front entrance and it looks fantastic! Realistic too, and states the ride very clearly. The theming is good from big to little, like the barb wires and leafy strands running on the walls. You people need to stop complaining about the 2D wallpapers.. This isn't Disneyland, they don't have the money to make every single detail 3D and completely realistic. There wouldn't be much space to fit 3D things on the walls as it'd be too squishy with Superman in its steps anyway. Let's just wait until the ride is finished, appreciate what we get, and stop complaining about unnecessary things in life. Correct me if you will, but I'm just stating what I think is right. Whinging isn't going to do anything.
  4. Very true, it's not finished! So I don't know why everyone is already saying how it's bad themed, half the ride is bare.. They still have alot to do! Judge the ride and theming when it's officially open and you ride it then.
  5. Found the video, won't bother uploading to Youtube.. http://tenbreakfast.com.au/video.htm?movideo_m=175221
  6. I recorded the Dreamworks Experience on Channel 10 this morning and will put it on Youtube later..
  7. Yeah it's not accesible now. The theming is definitely not done, more work to do outside and in the tracks area like the tower etc.
  8. I know right, but it's really confusing when you first do it because you think your seatbelt has disappeared..
  9. OH! Forgot to mention, it was the green buttons! You'd press them at the end of the ride and it'd unlock both the harness and the seatbelt. Didn't do anything for the other bits of the ride..
  10. It doesn't work well for Scooby, even if you got it, you still have to wait 5-10 minutes for the lady to let you in to the crowded 10-20 minute line where the big area closes off onto the slant, lots of p*ssed off people.. Works well for Green Lantern, didn't get it for any other rides.
  11. Has anyone gotten an email yet for the Dreamworks VIP experience, I'm kinda upset I didn't get one (a winning email).
  12. Haha the dronkey 'demon' bit was funny, good ol' Bananas! And I think the bit was taped on because of the rude word inside the weird language..
  13. Have got some photos and will post them, overall the ride is much smoother and great but the over lap harness does kinda make you feel like your feet have lost all feeling and are going to fall off at the end of the ride. As said above you walk into the que you see a window with a man with a tv on hes head, the report is a news reporter infront of the big Arkham building with the 'Joker's Funhouse' written on it and it's at night so the spotlights reflect on the building which look great, then proceeds to show an escaping inmate, then proceeds back to the news reporter then is rewinded back to the start and played again, and again. The staff are dressed as inmates with orange suits, and some are dressed as guards. When you go into the bit where the cars and barking dog used to be, there's a extra que line been added and the bubbly green machine and asylum cells (2D wallpapers). Then you proceed to the slant to the ride with the guard hanging and more 2D walls then go through the gate to the ride. The soundtrack outside is dodgy olden music (like elevator music), and the soundtrack when you enter the trains starts with the Joker telling everyone about what's going on, how he has taken over and then starts to explain loose items. Then Harley Quinn takes over and proceeds to tell you that hats, glasses etc are not allowed and then Joker takes over harley then goes back to Harley and then Joker as they communicate to each other in their matter. Then waits a few minutes, then starts up again. The people speaking the characters is pretty good, but alright. There is no 'maze' or anything so far and you don't get anywhere near the old TV room. When you exit it's just more gloomy walls, then theres the shop which has obviously been removed inside but there is a small photoshop in it which isn't open, so they tell you to go to the DC Comics store near the Green Lantern. The China Alley is still closed off but there is a lot of Joker writing on the buildings around the old entrance and a big picture of the owner of the Asylum (don't know his name) and then there is Joker writing on it crossing his name and claiming it as his then more smiles and Arkham Asylum logos on the wall etc. The strange thing is, that there was no signs that had the word 'shock therapy' on it which was weird, just Arkham Asylum logos, even on the warning sign. Here are some of my pictures I took (not the best photos as my lighting is bad on my HTC EVO 3D but it is better then nothing I guess.. Some more photos..
  14. Heading off to Movie World today, if I get a chance to ride Arkham i will provide a short summary and some pictures at the end of the day..
  15. Sorry for the messy post above, just the excitement taking over.. So what's happening tomorrow? Is it opening for sure or is it going to be a disappointment like the slow openings of the Green Lantern.
  16. Yeah it's official, Movie World now has a 'Fast Track' system http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150665493147182&set=a.452895337181.251091.106147617181&type=1&theater
  17. Just because there isn't any new rides doesn't mean there is nothing new or something to be excited about. There's a whole new range of characters to meet like Shrek, Alex etc and a new show to enjoy. I mean, for the kids it's not all about rides it's mostly about the experience of meeting the characters and seeing the big animals is always amazing as a young kid, or even older haha. It's just a starter to get ready for the new Kung Fu Panda land as Cruiseshipfan mentioned.
  18. Agreed, with the element of lacking punctuatio- badger badger badger badger badger badger badger MUSHROOM MUSHROOM
  19. Stop with the memes kid, they don't make sense
