  1. First off, Superman Ultimate Flight isn't even a Skyloop. It's a completely different model by a completely different company. The only Maurer Skyloop that is longer than Buzzsaw is Abismo at Parque de Atracciones Madrid (sp?), the rest are identical to Buzzsaw.
  2. What makes you think the measly few thousand dollars that Zamperla would receive would go towards Coney Island? Plus Zamperla are hardly in need of money after their lawsuit against Golden Horse.
  3. Yes but why do they have to use the Luna Park Man theme on a Zamperla spinner? Simply because Coney Island has one? They can use the same theme on a much better coaster. Not that they ever will.
  4. I'm extremely bitterly disappointed. What the actual hell are they thinking? Of all times to release plans to make Luna Park an actual decent park like it was in the old days their 100th anniversary would be perfect. The best part is how they're trying to evade the fact that their "BIG plans" suck on the Facebook page with cookie cutter replies about how great summer will be with their returning carnival flat ride and crappy temporary coaster Bad job, Luna Park. To think I let myself get excited. /rant about how much Luna Park sucks. By the way RWC, have you actually ridden a Reverchon/Zamperla spinner? They're definitely nothing to get excited over at all.
  5. It'll most likely me a Maurer Xtended XC 2000 as they only take up 25mx43m. I'm hoping it'll be that and not a Zamperla spinner.
  6. Oh. I just got very confused, I'm a bit tired and the picture made it look like some advanced simulator dark ride thing. Disregard my comment.
  7. http://www.lunapark.com.au/rides/holodeck I don't remember this ride at Luna Park?
  8. Some very unexpected news from IAPPA, Mt Olympus Theme Park in Wisconsin have announced that they are getting the Gravity Group to modify their wooden coaster, Hades, to include new timberliner trains and a brand new WOODEN ZERO G ROLL! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=64106
  9. Every Skyloop coaster is the same height as Buzzsaw.
  10. Or a Mack wooden launched aquatrax... with six trains.
  11. I'm super happy we've received a new dark ride from Movieworld - it's a fantastic addition and I'm super glad we received it. However, the general public seriously do not appreciate rides like that - especially when they find out it doesn't "go fast and do teh loops".
  12. Wow, and that one was just a SuperSplash without any major buildings! What made it take so long?
  13. I have faith that this will be a great addition to Dreamworld's flat ride lineup. You may say it's not on the level to be a Big X Thrill Ride, but it's certainly more than I expected from the Kung Fu Panda land. Plus Zamperla make some great flat rides.
  14. It was listed there about 2 or so weeks ago, but thanks for informing us haha Hopefully it's a good sign that it's been listed as a Water Coaster and not as a SuperSplash.
  15. Coney Island's Tickler isn't exactly a classic ride. It opened in 2010. Luna Park Melbourne can come up with their own coaster that pays tribute to the old Coney Island without ripping one off from the new Coney Island. If they wanted to pay homage to the 1906 Tickler, they could get a much better spinning coaster than a Zamperla. Maybe a Maurer Spinner. There are tons of routes they could go down. They could get a Zamperla Motocoaster with the Steeplechase theme. Your speculation on it being a Zamperla Twister Coaster is the word "crazy", but Zamperla Twister Coasters have never been associated with the word crazy, other than possibly the Crazy Coaster at the Ekka, which is a Zamperla Twister.
  16. I think you mean Zamperla Twister Coaster. And I certainly hope that's not what it is. Metropolis was an average ride with a layout that has been cloned many times, and the last thing we need to replace it is another average ride with a layout that has been cloned even more times.
  17. I've never thought I'd bee so happy to see a coaster demolished in Australia! So glad Metropolis is actually getting a replacement rather than a "restoration" (which would be like polishing a turd). I know it's probably - definitely - wishful thinking, but Eurofighter 320+ anyone?
  18. I know you're not. We're saying that your opinion is wrong
  19. I have a bad feeling the announced rides will just be temporary seasonal flats.
  20. I'm pretty pleased with this. Sure, a Sky Fly may have been better, but this is pretty good. And no it's not a super thrilling ride, but being part of the kids area it'd have to be family friendly - a ride like the Giant Drop would be very out of place. It's certainly more of a thrill ride than the Motocoaster, that's for sure.
  21. ^ I think he means that concentrating on shooting the targets means you basically block out the audio. I honestly can't remember much that was said.
  22. Two piers in NJ were destroyed by Sandy: Funtown Pier and Casino Pier. All the coasters on Funtown Pier and at least one of the coasters on Casino Pier were destroyed. They weren't very good coasters, but it's sad to see nonetheless. I actually visited Funtown Pier a few years ago, so there's one childhood memory destroyed - literally.
  23. Well it is half term holidays in the UK and there were a LOT of British tourists there today. I just didn't expect that British people would make do a 5 day trip to Australia during half term and visit Movieworld.
