This is Dubai you're talking about. They do almost anything and everything better and for about half the price. They use slave labour. In Australia we can't use slave labour, so therefore everything is more expensive and in the current economic times you can't afford anything expensive. That's in Australia at least.

ok. This is annoying so. I congratulate both Alex_1 and Mike Ma for their awesome efforts on the new kids zone. I was king to enter but I am not the best at drawing and design. I hope we have some more participants in the next challenge as it is something many people have wanted.

I like the planes cashed in the forest in the studios tour. For the name, what is the central idea of the park? Thills, fun, family, random? Come up with the overall idea and create a name linking to it. Otherwise just call it Reanimated World! Does the plane belong to any airline. What is written on the side?

That sound pretty cool. I once came up with this idea of an Angry Birds Coaster. Its a launched coaster but it's a long straight track that curves up then down into a building. The station is level on the ground so the train is lowered into the station on the track which is on some kind of hydraulic suspension. When all the passengers are on the track is raised level with the rest of the track. The train is the pulled back to represent a slingshot being pulled back. Then you reach the end of the track and you stop. Some kind of launch system, most likely the tire launch like on jet rescue, launches you up the track. You go curving up then down crashing through a building with lots of special effects. You hit one magnetic brakes and stop. The tie system then brings you back to the part of the track the goes into the station. You stop on that track while some brakes lock you into place. You are then lowered back into the station. Well there you have it. The Angry Birds Slingshot Coaster!

Thanks goliath, I think here in australia or at least at sea world they use a dispatch button instead of advance. Can anyone who worked at movie world or sea world shed some light on this.

What would reset be for?

This is a question for anyone with ride op experience. I was wondering what are the standard controls for a roller coaster. This means all the buttons in the ride ops booth and the controls for the ride attendants. If anyone could answer this question I would love it!

I went to movie world yesterday with my family and the first thing I went to was Wild West Falls as it was sooooooooo hot! All of the queue lines were open and I don't think I have every seen it the busy! I went on superman Escape for the first time and it is so fun. On to the point of this post. So we joined the queue for Green Lantern. The audio in the lines was driving me mad especially the part were they went "GREEN LANTERNS LIGHT!" They were completely out of sync! So we were about to go onto the ride when it broke down so they had to get everyone off then put everyone back on. So those people went along. We got on the coaster and as they were checking the lap bars they discovered that my sister didn't fit properly. She was tall enough but not wide enough. So we had to get off. Why can't they make the lap bars and things come all the way down to the seat so everyone can fit onto it! *END OF RANT*

I went to Sea World today and it is the same story. SBNO! Anyway a bit off topic but the mist at the end of the tunnel on Jet rescue was not and the coaster seemed to be launching faster today. Also they were very efficient and basically as soon as one coaster came in the other went out. Also Sea Vipers screen the displays photos was displaying the Windows XP screen saver. Sorry no pictures, didn't have a camera today. Anyway just a little update.

As I promised I will be posting a competition so here is a little bit about it. You have been hired by Village Roadshow Theme Parks to design replacements and improvements for some of their rides. You will be working at there three Major Gold Coast; Movie World, Sea World, Wet 'n' Wild. The Challenge will be split up into 5 rounds. Each round will be two weeks long and must be submitted by midnight on the Saturday specified for the round. Each of your entries must have a name and must be limited to one post. Your entry must contain images of your design. They can be in any format as long as they are in the post. You are allowed to do selected rounds though you are unlikely to win if you don't partake in all of the rounds. After the round has finished a poll will be made and you can vote for your favourite entry. Whoever has the most votes wins the round. At the end of all the rounds the person with the most votes wins. Well, Good luck to all of you who are taking part in this competition. The second rounds challenge will be posted with all needed information on Sunday 22nd. NOTE: All rules and requirements are subject to change without notice! :D :D Round 1 Okay for round 1. As you know the Kids WB area is very old and in need of repair. Movie World last year closed the Looney Tunes River Ride and that has been SBNO for what is approaching a year. Movie World wants you to redesign the kids area. These are the requirements: [*]​You must use the current area taken up by the kids area. [*]Your design must include at least one roller coaster and a dark ride. [*]Your dark ride must include some kind of thrill in it. [*]Your design must also include a rest area for parents, a play area for kids, and other rides and attractions for kids. [*]You must include images of your design. Your entry can be a powerpoint but must entered as a video format. [*]You can create an entirerly new kids area or just revamp or re-theme the current kids area.
