Goliath - Adventure World’s new Intamin Gyro Swing
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Seems like it's going to be vey tall. Ie launch guests to new heights. I can't wait to see MI3 now. So many options for new rides it's going to be hard to guess. I must say I have a feeling maybe the wind seeker idea is coming along. (Tallest in Australia and it we defdenlty launch guests to new heights. Plus it will make up for BR removal.) -

Does anyone know the annual attendance figures for AW for last season? -
I realise that. But these are the times they gave me. I still get paid either way. But I was hopping for a day time slot due to that fact. But we will have to wait and see.

Ok. I will look for the quote once I get home from work. A Gerstlauetr family coaster would be great. I just have one question is it 5million for the roller coaster itself or is that for shipping, construction and theming and so on. Found the quote: It does say unlikely. -

@Mark Shaw you originally said that MI3 was not going to be as big as Abyss and Kraken. This was when you said that due to the changing economy and bad weather patterns it would be a couple of years before we see a new single attraction at the price of 7 million. Has this changed since you said this? If this is true we know MI3 is 7.5 million and Kraken was 7million. So I believe this will be AW's second biggest investment. I just realised he said single attraction. (can't find the exact post) Maybe there are a few family flat rides….. I am sure you should be able to get 2 flats and some decent theming for 7 million. (Maybe Zamperla) this would more than make up for Bounty's Revenge. But whatever is in stall for us with MI3 and future MI's. I am sure Mark and crew have great attraction coming and they have always managed to impress us lately. I can't wait to see construction commence. -
Wanneroo show took PRS pricing to revel their cheap pricing this year. I can't complain. For anyone who is interested I am doing a magic show on the main stage from 9:30-10:15. Straight after the firework on the Friday night.

Does anyone think a character photo opportunity would be good with the Guardians of the Abyss? -

Yup. But I am glad I don't have kids or a wife. Bit illegal at 16 and a half. Might just have to take the train and then a bus to AW. -

Well I normaly go 2 times a year. I just need to talk one of my friends into buying a season pass. Don't really want to go to the parks by myself and ride rides by myself. -

I might get my first season pass this year. Its just I get my license this year and I live in Joondalup so in past years I didn't see me going to AW enough for it to be worth it. -

Sorry for the double post: Also I wonder if for Summer nights events they were talking about might include Movies being played in the Lagoon. Like the GC's Dive in Movies. -

I actual got thinking and was wondering if these new additions (Kraken and MI3) will mean that AW's maximum capacity will be raised. Just remembering how last season they ceased tickets sales and with more people coming to AW and international market starting to come to AW. If AW plans to allow more visitors through the park gates. -

It just looks so different. I am looking forward to the new Summer nights events and Fright Nights. Seeing now they have so much more space I wonder what they do in the space for these events. On a side note wouldn't be cool if for FN they did something like the Prison Break Live attraction they had quite a while ago? (2009 I think) -

Adventure World 2015 - 'Mi2' Kraken Tornado slide
Tim Dasco replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks Mark for that response, seems like AW will become an ultimate theme park soon when a few more MI's are built. Are u able to say how many years you plan for ie a 5 year plan or do you have a general idea of what's in store for more than those 5 years? I am looking forward to MI50. ? (Not that I will be alive in a 100 years but oh well) -
And all but 2 come from one company. I think the Royal show does have some say in terms of some operators but at Perth the PRS organisers will contract the Western Australia showmens ascotiation to have a large portion of the rides (marches great, west coast carnivals, show west, carnival amusmtnets, and a few others). Then I believe they would have contracts between event organisers at the PES and Goldenway amusmtnets, bells, L&L Osborune Showtime amusmtnets, (whoever owns the space roller) or I think this might be true. The western Australian showmens ascotiation have the contract and they get their members into the show and then they contact other companies to fill the void or to get interstate rides. Not quite sure which one is correct.

Mark I don't think anyone can say what you and your team are doing is nothing other than amazing. MI1 and MI2 are great rides. I know you have said there is a MI3 and a MI4 2 years after. But are you able to say if AW are planning on building more MI's as the years go on. Ie like every 2 years like your doing now or will new attractions slow down after a while? But I already can't wait for these next attractions to come. -
If you want to count kids coasters than its one of 7 in Pert. (We did have the water coaster at kings Carnival but thats gone). Super skate (Kings Carnival) Dragon Wagon Kiddie Coaster Runnaway Train Python Loop (Now gone) Dragons express Abyss
-
Yeah thats the article.
-
Nop. I read the dates wrong. Yours are write. Have fun telling people about Python Loop and the Mega Drop. But it didn't surprise me that they sold PL. They used it twice a year. They were never really gong to make a load of money by having it in shipping containers all year. The PRS must not be happy considering last year they made a loss of 2 Million. It cost them 13 million and they only made 11 million last year. (If i find the article I will post it)
-
Python loop is not to painful. Although in 2009 my friend went on it with me and she hit her head on it and had a headache for a while. Surprised Mega Drop is heading to Melbourne instead of Perth. Is 4 days gap between Perth and Melborune enough time for a ride to travel from Melbourne to Perth? (Also surprised its not heading to Adelaide) @iwerks have fun telling people that.

Perth Royal show ride list is coming out real soon. It so they said in a PM.
