  1. Stage 3 only allows for 100 people within one location, so unless a compromise for theme parks is made, they won’t reopen until stage 4 or 5 (which haven’t been discussed yet). We may seem some delays, but they said earlier this year that parts would begin arriving in May, and they have, so it seems to be on track. It may not be open by Summer, but I’d expect by Easter 2021
  2. This style of show would be awesome if they wanted to expand the Wild West area. Shame they don’t have more than one major show
  3. @Smol bean welcome to the forums, we hope you enjoy your stay. Just a tip, you can edit the text before posting it, so that you don’t have to say autocorrect messed up Because of corona I doubt we will see any major investments for a few years. But I definitely would love to see they replace HSD2, refurb for WB Kids and once AA is removed, an all new coaster that hasn’t been seen in Aus before (Would love to see a flying coaster)
  4. CityWalk will partially reopen from tomorrow at Universal Orlando. Area will only be open 4-10pm. Here are the requirements from the website
  5. The screenshot isn’t from then, it just the park are in the process of updating the website so some parts are really outdated, some pages don’t work/exist
  6. Couldn’t agree more @AlexB. Look at what Disney are doing with Shanghai. They are one of the biggest businesses in the world, but they have clearly stated what they have put in place, even if that means their profits won’t be anywhere near as high as usual. They’ve said they will cut down to 30%, and they’ve shown how queues will work and how trains will be loaded. It ensures people know what to expect if they do decide to go back. Obviously the scale of a Disney vs VRTP is no where what the same and we won’t be expecting crowds to be anywhere near the same, but as Alex says, they need to showcase to the government what they would do and how they would do it. Bikash says they would need at least 5000 people capacity, but in reality, I doubt they will reach those numbers, not until at least the summer holidays (unless I’m not realising how many people want to go back to theme parks).
  7. @AlexB every other part of the website says 10-5, so I’m doubtful it’s true
  8. I would say the 20 rule is within a building. And that’s why there is probably an Astrix there. It could mean, you can have x number of people within the gates, but when there is an indoor attraction/queue, only 20 people will be allowed within that space. Because with 20 people within the park, or even the 100 at stage 3 doesn’t make sense. They’d reach that number in staff
  9. @Skeeta Or they may open once they are allowed too, but will keep certain attractions closed until July because it might not be worth having staff on for the limit of 20 people. I’m sure all rides will be operated a minimum capacity where possible so they can keep the staff budget low due to the high revenue loss I wonder if they will keep WnW and WWW closed until the temperatures start to warm up again too?
  10. With the maximum of 20 people permitted, this would impact quite a few attractions (All speculated of how they may operate) Overall: - Social distancing within all queues - Character meet and greets will be unlikely Movie World - Roxy Theatre will need to remain closed - SDSC, JL and SE will most likely need to use the outdoor queue and only a max of 20 guests will be let inside at once to board the trains/cars. - 20 people max inside Showcase - HWSD, either closed or reduced capacity with only certain rows of seats used - Parade may not operate Sea World - Storm Coaster will need an outdoor queue - Spongebob 3D remains closed - Underway viewing of Penguins, Shark Bay and Polar Bear Shores will either be closed or limited guests. - Shows not operated or rescued conducts of social distancing Dreamworld - Sky Voyager will need reduced capacity - Giant Drop will need to use its outdoor queue
  11. They are hoping step 3 will be by the end of july, so we could see the parks open earlier than expected (depending on Qlds situation)
  12. Disney Springs will reopen on May 20. The rest of WDW including parks and hotels will remain closed. There will be a limited capacity, parking and reduced hours
  13. Possible reopening by September holidays, but it mostly comes down to the government
  14. @Zac Beckwith yeah there will be a reservation system and contact tracing on all guests through the park
  15. Update 06/05 About a quarter of the carpark has been fenced off in preparation for more parts to arrive
  16. Shanghai Disneyland will be reopening May 11 at a reduced capacity of 30% (24,000 people). Social distancing will be put in place through all queues and masks will be required
  17. When they announced the attraction, they also said there would be a viewing area of the dolphin lagoon. Does that mean that small pathway that wraps around Vortex will that viewing area? Because that’s even smaller. Unless that idea was scrapped or they are yet to build some decking to view from I agree @AlexB for what will most likely be on of the most popular areas of the park and this pathway is likely the be the main entrance point that people use, that is one small pathway EDIT: I’ve screenshot the footage at its highest quality (would have been the smart thing to do in the first place) to see a lot more detail You can see at the entrance to the area they’ve started to install some form of fencing/arch. Could this possibly be for plants to be grown on? And it looks like there won’t be a fountain at the entrance either, just another garden bed 😏 Queue area to the right and the exit will be just to the left of it (This could be another bottle neck situation in peak times) Im also interested to see where they decide to put the attraction signage. Possibly on the concrete footings to the left of the photo Hopefully the building to the right will be covered up with plants over time
  18. I do like the concept art and it seems like what they are executing is pretty close to it, assuming they will be painting the foam. Hopefully they plant a heap of trees, etc to really fill the area because it might look out of place
  19. @djrappa they were sent to me a few years ago by someone who was part of the construction team
  20. @Brad2912 it was removed when the repainting began, but didn’t return before the park closed
