  1. I'm fairly sure they did post that it was getting demolished, but edited it to say it's getting re-done. SWs website does say that's it's getting major renovations.
  2. The past few nights it has been fully lit up, with flood lights shining on it.
  3. It was purely just an opinion. As one of the rides is in place and is spongebob themed, and I'd imagine as spongebob is probably a more major character, it would have the coaster. So I'd say the spongebob area would cover (approximately) the area I draw. Dora was purely based off that the Dora show is at the front. I know that there are meant to be new show/s, so that was the only reason I put Dora area there. And TMNT has the remaining area.
  4. Obviously this isn't very accurate, but this is how I'm imagining the areas will be set out and what area they will cover. Red being SpongeBob, Blue being Dora and Green being TMNT
  5. Track has been installed (Photos: Gold Coast Theme Parks)
  6. I defiently feel that the proposed lazy river and new tower for a couple more slides is really essential. You can see in the drawings that the a slide similar to the triple vortex was proposed for a new tower. I think that if the park were to expand into the gravel carpark/storage space behind the little rippers, then they would install a couple of new attractions/slides at once. Hopefully they do this in the next couple of years, the park really needs it.
  7. I can see the GD from my house and yesterday I watched it for about 10 minutes and then an hour or so later I watched it again and it was running. And on DWs website it says it's open 10-5.
  8. Some of the coaster parts have been out onto the site, the coaster station is being built and one of the other rides is on site as well (photos: TPSN)
  9. Usually the dates are released early to mid August (with a maze or two being announced). And remaining mazes are announced early to mid September.
  10. It's a shame that the enterance to the cyclone doesn't look like it does on the concept. Would make it much more inviting, rather than being tucked away in the corner.
  11. And here is the shell of that bus: It appears that coaster track has arrived as well:
  12. Another one of the rides has arrived and a ride operation booth is being installed (photo source: TPSN)
  13. I think if they are going to do a Krusty Krab themed food store, then it should be a seperate place within the area, that sells kids food. I feel the dockside tavern should just received a facelift. If they do change it to fit the theme of the area, then so be, and it isn't a bad idea, just I feel they should keep it as it.
  14. The dockside Tavern has closed now for major renovations and will be reopening mid September. Also, got an email saying that Unlimited Membership Holders will get access to a member-only preview event of Nickelodeon land.
  15. The DW website did say that there were two best attractions as well as plans for the 20th anniversary of Tiger Island.
  16. I've ridden the GD many times and everytime I go on it, my heart races like crazy. I don't think they need to do anything to the ride, besides fix up the queue line. I think some theming should be added to the vintage cars, even if it's just some old machinery. I think the park need to do what everyone keeps on saying, fix cyclone, replace/reopen eureka and new trains for MDMC. Regarding MW, I don't think they need to returb SE, yes the theming could be improved within the queue line, but nothing major. I do agree a 2nd train should be purchased for AA. The queue line area isn't that much, and if it's queued back to the do it can take about 2hrs, that's rediculous. SW, with the new kids area, it will be a great addition to the park. Next they need to do something with the old SV site, and I agree on the new monorails. WnW GC, I don't think anything major needs to be done, besides maybe another slide in H2O Zone WWW, more slides
  17. Last year the dates were released on August 25 and in 2013 they were released on July 30. So I would expect they would announce dates within the first couple of weeks of the month.
  18. It seems that DW have decided to have most of there rides open for 10 now (according to the website). And most are open to 5 as well. Seems like they've listened to people that have been complaining about it.
  19. Someone asked on FB if they knew if they had a reopening date, and they said that they still don't know. But the maintenance page on their website will be updated with a reopening date once confirmed.
  20. ^I think that gravel area was also used by channel 9 staff for BB when it was filming.
  21. I think the introduction of an overflow car park would be a pretty good idea, because I have seen the carpark full before and once its full, there isn't really any grass to park on (unlike MW's carpark). Here is a satellite image from October 2013 when it was full:
  22. OceanGirl, when speaking to the staff did you ask or did they mention about Tiger Island's 20th Anniversary and the makeover that was supposed to happen?
  23. Also, the maze in Scooby Doo doesn't usually begin construction until a couple of weeks before the first fright night.
