  1. I know I did post the following pic but I just noticed a white like building in Eureka Mountains current spot, would that be part the main street building or used for the construction of eureka mountain mine ride.
  2. I think paddle wheeler has the odds as the Skylink Chairlift re-opening, it's demolished an less he can give some evidence about that him and I have nothing to day to each other.
  3. Anyone emailed SW yet to talk them into the idea.
  4. Some of these pics are before the 80s (late 70s does that count ) here are 2 imagines of DWs main street under construction and another looking over now Ocean Parade. More old DW photos at the following hyperlink https://www.flickr.com/photos/pulseaustralia/3810908352/in/photostream/
  5. Currently according to DWs maintenance schedule the Wipeout is only currently running 10:30 to 3:30 weekdays which is quite strange for one of the Big 9, seeing as well all other rides in Ocean Parade operate 10:00 to 5:00 delay, as it is one of DWs Big 9 thrill rides they might be a bit more lenient about closing the ride. What do you think would make a perfect replacement for the ride if it does close sooner rather then later.
  6. No need to say sorry everyone on the forum here is entitle to have there own say and agree and disagree with someone's else's post.
  7. Sorry I always thought it was 110cm to be a passenger. But I wasn't meaning kids who are with there in car I was meaning kids who driving by themselves who some aren't very experienced and can cause pile ups, I once watched the Dodgem cars and cars were that jammed up because un experienced kids the ride attendant had to stop the ride to move the cars out and free them manually I'm saying they shouldn't drive I'm simply saying they should have a more experienced driver with them until they reach a certain age to benefit all it's fun until you get stuck in a pile up and half your time is gone after waiting up to 15-20mins sometimes or even longer.
  8. Not good quality but here is DWs most likely first Promo Reel from back in the early 80s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DtbwvSCrx38
  9. How long ago was it that Perry left DW anyway, does anyone know ?
  10. Went to DW again today not much different then the last time a week ago TOT2 reaching the F of the OF sometimes slightly lower, rote a post in Eureka topic about what a staff member said was or wasn't happing with it, Sidewinder coaster was going non stop today apart from that everything perfectly the same, I couldn't get any pics of Tiger Island as even all the fine gaps have been filled on temporary fencing but I can confirm that the Tiger Island sign have been removed as well as everything else. Only negative about the day would probably be the Dodgems they have a height limit of 110cm to be a passenger which is fine, but they have a height limit to drive at 120cm no age, do you personally think there should been an age as well due most younger just don't really know how to drive and cores clog ups (traffic jams in other words) so by the time you get threw half your time on the ride is gone. If you wait 30mins for a 2-3 minute ride you want to spend it driving and bumping into other cars not in a pile up on the track.
  11. I visited DW again today and asked a staff member if they know anything about Eureka and they confirm that there has been no recent work done on it inside and out. So that's really good news would anyone else agree.
  12. I will say this much the old steam engine does look better then the diesel, do you ever think it will operate more often then the first Saturday of every month and special occasion days.
  13. Not sure if you would call this an April fools joke. But did you know to this very day Titanic's pool still has water in it.
  14. Not any more spelt like that, Thanks for telling me. Anyway I had to make myself look like an April fool like I was trying to all of uses one.
  15. Guess what I emailed DW again about Eureka Mine Ride and they have confirmed it will re-open to the public this year. LOL, made you look, APRIL FOOL
  16. Quite impressive how are you can going to get in control of Sea World or convince them to do it.
  17. Well I'll say this much the Giant Drop in a way doesn't look to bad at all apart from what you said about a bus shelter queue. I would personally like to see the Motocoaster get TLC ever since it was built nature has pretty much looked after it apart from some maintenance from time to time.
  18. Well the log ride may be quite old but it doesn't look to bad for it's age (almost 35yrs) per sides in an area like Town of Gold Rush an area where it doesn't need a lot of TLC I is suppose to look rundown and old anyway.
  19. I don't I'm afraid is hasn't been repainted a different colour just a fresh coat I only knew cause it wasn't all faded and looking a tired as it use to the roof is still fainted and not painted yet.
  20. Really truly and as it had been changed not so long ago as HWSW was on there and Eureka defiantly closed before the Cyclone was turned into HTWS as I said it would be like the Skylink Chairlift on a shirt why would you display or promote a was is closed down unless they possibility have plans for the ride in the near future.
  21. Probably was reaching both of the letters of the OF. Just depends on the load weight I suppose.
  22. Visited DW today and good news the Wipeout deficiently is working fine once again it wasn't making any squeaky sounds or anything the Main Street Emporium shop has been given a recent coat of red paint except for roof currently, TOT2 was reaching pretty decent heights of up to the F of the of and I have one word to describe the Tiger cubs, cute. Does anyone also know where Kai is, it was only the Kai's 2 younger sisters and the white cubs in the Tiger Kindy.
  23. Visited DW today and while having a look in there Main Street Emporium shop I noticed one of there DW shirts recently done with buzzsaw, TOT2, River Rapids and more but the main thing that stuck out was the fact of them having Eureka Mountain and people who were seating in a mine cart with there arms in the air. Maybe I'm just going out on limb but my point is while would they personally put a closed down ride on there merchandise it would be like putting the Skylink Chairlift on a shirt, why unless they may personally have plans for it for the near future.
  24. No the River Rapids alone with the Eureka Mine Ride opened on December 11th, 1986, 5 years after DW opened.
