  1. And (please correct me if I’m wrong), but boothill isn’t in driving school.
  2. Haha, how so? I know getting views of construction is cool, but keeping the park tidy, and keeping untidy crap hidden from the paying public is more important.
  3. If wheels were the cause, it wouldn’t matter to run the train through the rest of track, cause most of the wheels would be changed out after the train has been homed. And as you guessed they may not be able to change them mid course. Removing the train for whatever reason wasn’t the best option, or may not have been possible in that location, otherwise they probably would have done that. Even if they could change them course would be a nightmare, for a number of reasons. So, best to take your chance and hope it’ll complete the circuit without changing them. That is of course is if it was the wheels,@DaptoFunlandGuy, was just spitballing.
  4. Well yourself found out that wind was gusting 45km, @rappa, stated earlier in the this topic that the limit for Mack’s is 50km. So, the ride was does appear to have been operated in the limits. MW, is some ways are quite pedantic about safety, so I’m in serious doubt that we’re testing the ride when winds were too high. What? No idea what you’re going on about. Maybe the best explanation is: it’s currently school holidays.
  5. Correct, BUT, we don’t know that it was wind. Things aren’t always what they seem, in other words, just because it may look like wind caused this, it doesn’t mean it was wind.
  6. Thanks, again. I’d love to shoot you a PM, however, I don’t want to be annoying or rude. Being asked 101 questions can be annoying.
  7. There probably wasn’t a sign up telling you not to climb the fence of an operating roller coaster, and retrieve your phone. With society how it is today, you need to tell people even the most basic of things. For example, when I last had Domino’s pizza, the box had “open the lid before eating”. Like, WTF! How stupid and idiotic can you be. So, moral of the story, people and society have gone nuts.
  8. Thanks, @Spotty, I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. In all honesty you could talk to me for 10hrs straight about what it was like being a cast member, and I wouldn’t be bored. And come to think of it I could probably ask 10hrs worth of questions, lol.
  9. True, but if the wind was strong enough to almost cause the first test run to valley, I couldn’t see them testing it a second time.
  10. Hahaha, Well, @Gazza, if I know this site as well as I think I do, I'm not surprised that you mentioned that. Lol. But, in all honesty the media always seem to mention it, yes, it was shocking, and yes, it continues to be horrific and sad, but, they should just let it go. With them not mentioning this time, we can only that it's going to stay that way.
  11. I'm surprised they didn't follow the report up with, "this comes almost 6 years after 4 people lost their lives at Dreamworld when the TRRR malfunctioned" They always seem to mention that in an incident involving a ride, or theme park in general
  12. When I was at the park last Monday I was told that I wasn't caused by wind, and that the cause was under investigation. I was also told that it valleyed on it's second test run, it almost didn't complete the first test run, but obviously didn't complete the second. If this is correct then the cause is probability not wind, since it almost valleyed the first time. That information didn't come from the maintenance team, rather a cast member, so the info may not be creditable.
  13. A roller coaster that required a minimum amount people in it was Psyclone, at SFMM. It was damaged in an earthquake, they made repairs, however, it was never the same again. Even with people on the ride the train would still crawl through some parts of the course.
  14. I personally loved it, the other problem was, (at least here in Toowoomba), was hardly anyone was there, people only went when they announced their closure. So since very few visited very few would have aware of their new system. How I said, customers only came when they were closing down, they didn't support them when they needed it. And it can't have been, just because of the non self service part of it, for Toowoomba at least.
  15. What's wrong with that? Are you volunteering to take a water dummies place? 😁
  16. If they’re still worried about covid, they could adapt a similar system to what Sizzler did. And that’s have customers order what they want on an order sheet, and have staff get it for them.
  17. Hi @Spotty You’d be the best one to ask to question to. Which ride in park is most reliable? Also, which ride is, ( in your opinion) easiest to operate? Cheers.
  18. I know from Star Tours I’ve done in the past, and from speaking to staff that they say a day when Scooby doesn’t fault, and or briefly breakdown is considered a good day. In other words, Scooby faulting is a pretty common occurrence.
  19. Let's hope that WWF is just experiencing teething problems, as it was only recently they did get new boats. Just checked their maintenance page, Scooby has re-opened.
  20. Gee, with NSW now on school holidays, the park is only gonna get a lot busier, let's hope they can get some of them back open. But, I think the big questions is, why are their rides so unreliable lately? As @aaronm said, there has been a lot of unscheduled down time.
  21. Curious, with them saying that they're more focused on rides than animals. Do you think they might eventfully get rid of their animal exhibits?
  22. I don't know if I'd have anything to do with it, but I do know that certified pool fencing is required by law. I'm not sure if the same rules apply to wild west falls, but if that's the case, it might explain the current fencing surrounding the ride.
  23. Anyone know what the castle is where the Carousel now sits?
  24. Green lantern is back open according to the maintenance schedule.
  25. Now that is an awesome sight, never thought I'd love watching Hypercoaster traversing the track so much. Hopefully won't be long till she's back open.
