  1. I agree, to an extent. The queue is part of the experience, however; A great queue followed by an average ride = average attraction An average queue followed by a great ride = great attraction They only have a certain budget to play with and I think that is best spent on the ride itself. Think Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Valhalla, Silver Star, the queues are rubbish - but when you get off, the time spent in the queue is forgotten if the ride lives up to the expectation.

  3. I wasn't expecting them to be included in the entrance price? Warner seem to be focusing on up-charge this year. Good move.
  4. The negativity in this thread is pretty sad. It's one seat. Let's see what the ride is like first.
  5. I don't thin the space in the middle of the ride is an issue - you want to be able to shoot the other boats without scenery getting in the way. That's the whole idea of the attraction. These rides are a ton of fun.
  6. Like I said, around 15ft from the top brakes. I don't know about the structure, I was in WWW all day.
  7. Ride was testing for most of the day, consistently hitting a respectable height on the tower. 15ft or so away from the top brakes.
  8. Apologies it's not great but I was trying to take a shot of the car until the tree got in the way!
  9. ^ I'm pretty sure they didn't sell that land. It'd be a stupid decision based on the route of the train. Rick.
  10. Was the photo call today - no public riding. Pics - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2377...75843&saved Rick.
  11. Indeed. Here are some pics from today - http://www.rickupsidedown.com/?page_id=489 Rick.
  12. Also worth mentioning that Dreamworld are advertising Screamworld as the chance to take your first ride on TOT2.
  13. Yes - was really sure what to make of that!
  14. I agree - it is quieter in the tunnel - and to be honest I thought it was a little quieter on the Tower? I'm interested to see how the OTSRs affect the floating feeling on the tower.
  15. Hmm, perhaps a higher. I was watching from near the 'fire station' so the view of the tower was obscured some what. Definitely higher than 'normal' - but not on every shot. One of the later launches wasn't far from the top brake section, maybe 15ft from there. Perhaps some photos if testing tomorrow. I can hear it from our pool so will head over if I hear it.
  16. The car was going higher than it was doing with the old car last month. I'd say it hit the area of the Tower where the 'R' of TOWER is on the shaft.
  17. I'm not sure if it's all out ungratefulness - I think it's often a total lack of understanding of how businesses work. Also, as an enthusiast it's difficult to take that step back and see things in the eyes of the public.
  18. Agreed - ^150kg is nothing. You could have that variance EASILY depending on the number of riders/weight of riders in the vehicle.
  19. Quick update from today - the ride was testing for much of the late afternoon. I saw it do around 5 launches. The car seats fourteen, not twelve as previously thought. The seating configuration is 4-4-4-2. http://www.rickupsidedown.com/?page_id=489 Rick.
  20. I think a Vekoma mine train coaster would be a superb addition to the aforementioned area, but not sure if it would fit. A B&M multilooper inverted coaster would be a sensational installation, but I don't see it somehow.
  21. ^ but half pipe cars are marginally articulated, are they or are they not? I've never really paid too much attention. Press night on Thurs so good chance it'll run on Friday for Screamworld.
  22. I'd like to see something that wasn't built by Intamin. Surely management weren't impressed with MotoCoaster.
  23. Maybe lengthening in the vehicle wasn't an option due to the curve up to the tower? Just a thought.
  24. Yeah, 12 seats is a little worrying. More speed though, I guess.
  25. Didn't know where else to put it - WWF reopened today after rehab. Looking wonderful! Lets see how long it lasts.
