  1. there are no new pics at all just chinatown entry from main street and someone riding lethal weapon most useless update of all time
  2. No confirmation from MW as yet, but most of us expect that to be the chose new theme for LW. No word on BATR2 replacement as yet
  3. Hmmm Well Q1 of this year ends in March - so if shooting was going to begin within 6 weeks, i think there would be a lot more info out about it Especially given The Dark Knight Rises will include a MASSIVE publicity campaign starting late May/Early June with Hardy will play a large part in, i call bullshit to either your entire story, or at least the timeline being early this year. I dont think there is ANY chance that the ride will be themed to Mad Max. No one under the age of about 25-30yrs old has even seen Mad Max or knows the concept. You would not open a ride based on it prior to production beginning on a movie. Terrible Idea Will be DC, will be Gotham/Arkham/Batman Universe themed - you can already picture Gotham from the re-invention on Chinatown in the pics below. Very similar architecture in the movies to what they are creating at MW
  4. Well thats about as conclusive as it can be. Argument settled So am i right in assuming that the picture is taken walking 'into' the chinatown alleyway from Main Street heading towards LW entrance?
  5. Money on sea world?? Penguin shores Castaway bay Sea viper re-launch Battle boats etc Dora show Nic refurb of kids area Sponge bob parade Hmm...think they've spend plenty in past 18months
  6. Wow That's a minute I'll never get back Who cares?? It was a building and now it's gone If it was cheaper to knock it down due to vandalism than keep maintaining it, it was a good idea
  7. MikeMac has my vote only thing is i would change the theming from star wars to something more relevant
  8. That's some James Bond shit there man. Satellite tracking, next we'll be getting Seal Team 6 to do a stealth mission in the cover of darkness to get the classified theming report
  9. The Australian Outback is vastly different to the American Mid-West (there is no place in USA called Wild Wild West)
  10. Wow was only asking if anyone had footage of this in the gremlins thread the other day. Wish id had a chance to check it out
  11. so you dont think Sea Viper and Jet Rescue fit in at seaworld?? in fact seaworlds "thrill rides" have the highest height requirements of any park I took my 8 year old niece to all the parks early this month, she went on TOT2, Cyclone, Claw, Batwing, Scooby, WWF, MDMC, but couldnt get on Sea Viper - go figure!!
  12. Wow, awesome trick back down memory lane. the last time i went on Gremlins i think i was 7 or 8 - very nostalgic watching that. Never saw Young Einsteins Gravity Homestead or Lassiters Lost Mine despite going to both parks when they were there. Strange does anyone have any footage at all of YEGH or LLM ?? Know of any youtubes? i've searched and found about 15secs of Lassiters but thats it
  13. Arkham Asylum is part of the Batman universe and has appeared/been mentioned in all of the batman movies. The ride would be based on the movies, and the role that Arkham plays (which is apparently large in The Dark Knight Rises) and the name sharing with the video game would be purely incidental
  14. surely they COULD NOT and WOULD NOT remove that helix!! Its one of the highlights of the ride!!
  15. Definitely The only thing I think DW has over MW is its kids area, the fact this it is a little more family friendly and will be moreso when Dreamworks area opens, and that is a longer day experience than MW at present
  16. That's to be expected though. No one in their right mind would vote for MDMC or Cyclone. Buzzsaw is barely considered a coaster. TOT2 isn't a coaster either but is a great experience Basically it's 4 coasters at MW vs 1 'non coaster' at DW
  17. My guess, either Gotham slums as seen in Batman Begins or Arkham Asylum
  18. My thoughts exactly. I think we will find that with the re-theme the track may wind thru and/or around a newly build structure/ building. Markings will be more so to do with this IMO
  19. I guess that is feasible ?? I'm just worried about the timeline. Any variance in structure and layout would thn require a full testing period before re-opening, but then again that may be necessary anyway with a new train. I wouldnt mind seeing a separate load/unload station if they were changing it up
  20. If I was designing the re-theme, providing they are not planning on using the space for an additional attraction, i'd be using chinatown as an inside walkthrough to LW (or whatever it becomes) Ideally - i'd be themeing the ride to Arkham Asylum, so you would literally walk through the cell block of arkham assylum (all indoors) which would be run down, the doors broken as if their had been an inmate revolt etc, and the idea behind the ride being that you are escaping Arkham along with the Joker or Bane or whoever. Maybe even the idea that the riders are actually the inmates of the prison, and we are trying to get away from Batman before he regains control. The walk through would end with riders boarding some type of transport vehicle to get out. I think there is lot that could be played on this theme wise, and it would fit in well with the twisting/turning/intenseness of the ride.
  21. i didnt believe the layout change was likely or plausible - just passing on what people are saying! China town is completely blocked off too, so hopefully that is being made way for something, or at least re-themed completely
  22. back on topic... there are murmurs on facebook that the ride layout and design will be changed, as well as new carriages and themeing
