  1. I've been a bit oblivious to Sydney news recently, but is Luna Park open to them yet?
  2. Perhaps they can work with Coomera Indoor Sports Centre and get guests to park there, and with some security enforcements, utilise the back staff-entry into Dreamworld too?
  3. Here's a quick draft: Pink route: All vehicles. Green route: Bus and coaches. Blue route: Staff, rideshare and long vehicles. Blue double dots: Direction of traffic entering parking rows. Staff parking. Red route: General. Red double dots: Direction of traffic entering parking rows. Note the double dots facing the direction of WhiteWater World require remarked parking spaces. Yellow double dots: Long vehicles / vehicles with trailers. Keeping note the only way for the above map to come effective, certain areas of the carpark need redesigning (like exiting the parking row facing WhiteWater World and taking a sharp right turn). Agree with @DaptoFunlandGuy, the current carpark needs a redesign.
  4. I think I should use the whole map and draw in my intentions for the blue side of the car park that I had in mind (but failed to communicate). Plus, it would suck to be the team hired to do this: - On the blue side of the car park, flip the angled parking so you now drive in the opposite way (as if coming in from the red route)
  5. Ah yes. Was meant to clarify that this too will only work when the bus and coach bays become available again. If the above proposal was to be implemented tho, buses can just follow the blue arrow...
  6. Unless Dreamworld decide to pull a Movie World and direct their traffic like this: Green arrow: Bus follows normal route. Coaches pull into their bays as per normal and exit all the same. Blue arrow: Staff and rideshare vehicles follow route. Guests doing drop-off/pick up allowed through. (EDIT: Should the green arrow become unavailable at some point, buses can follow the blue arrow). Red arrow: All guests must follow this route, unless otherwise specified. Black island: Helping to direct traffic and separate staff and rideshare vehicles to guest parking. From the centre two lanes cutting across the parking lot, (both red-arrowed lanes) each have the option to turn into any of the parking rows. In order for this to work, Dreamworld will need to widen some parts of their road and remove small sections of island. The centre two lanes will act as the spine of the parking lot, with each row of parking branching off. If exiting the parking rows and you're on the WhiteWater World side, follow the road to the end, turn left, then follow the road all the way around until you reach the spur or main exit.
  7. Dreamworld has: 2,087 MARKED parking spaces. 5 trailer parking spaces. 12 bus bays.
  8. After counting all marked parking spaces (this excludes the gravel section of the Movie World carpark), there is approximately... 1,448 MARKED parking spaces, and 27 bus bays. Not so keen on counting the unmarked gravel section and the overflow grass area, but I'm sure the total will be significantly less than 11,000 🤓 Damn, I feel bothered to do it now 🤣 I will let you know the total of Dreamworld's carpark... in late-2021
  9. Taking a look at this image below: Only accounting for the section of the carpark not scribbled out by the red, there is approximately 484 parking spaces. I will let you know when I finish counting 🤪
  10. Very much so. It feels disconnected from the park in my eyes. It's like... tucked away on the other side of the Dreamworld Express line in its own little space besides ABC Kids World.
  11. Agree with @Dom here. Movie World can have a capacity of 11,000 or so, but they don't have that many parking spaces... or do they?
  12. Really feeling for Suzie Simpkin's child exchanging instagram handles with a boy... Hope they find each other soon.
  13. They should have a final sho- Wait... Could this be the world class show Dreamworld were on about for their summer holidays? I can't remember where I heard this but didn't the current wiggles say they'll be back again at Dreamworld soon too? EDIT: WAIT NEMIND, someone in this forum also said a Wiggles show wasn't world-class
  14. Wait. Were they using the four main entry, and all of the external ticket booths? Hmm. Maybe they can get people going in through the doors beside the Lego store entry as well (like what they did with annual pass holders, unless they're doing that already). If they are using ALL the external ticket booth/gates, ALL four main entry doors and the double doors beside the Lego store exit, then with that many points of entry available to them - that be slow asf.
  15. Staff parking in the sports centre along Beattie Road and using the back entrance to enter the park or staff park in the Dreamworld carpark?
  16. https://www.dreamworld.com.au/what-s-on/great-queensland-getaway-at-dreamworld/ Steel Taipan image featured on the new site thing...
  17. Love what you said there @Dom What I love about the queue line and the coaster's layout is that from the queue, guests get a great view of the coaster cycling through the layout. It really helps to build that "wow" factor. It's pleasant to see how well the ride interacts with onlookers too, either from the queue, the precinct, or just walking through to the Giant Drop or Corroboree. That brake run tho, pretty insane seeing how close guests can get as the train rolls out of the heart-line roll and into the final brake run. The low-passes are insane.
  18. Given Saturday 16th was labelled as "selling fast" with 8500 guests visiting, can we expect the "sold out" nights to reach that 9000 guest cap??
  19. After spending the entire at day at Coomera Sports Centre (7.30am to 8.30pm doing admissions into a sport event), I must say the amount of complaints I got from 7:00pm to 8.00pm regarding the traffic to get to the sports centre was amazing. Leaving the sports centre was easy enough, having driven past Dreamworld to get home. Dreamworld DEFINITELY making money tonight. Cars flooded the ditches, parked the length of Whitewater Way (motorway side and Dreamworld side), carpark was full to the bone. Hell I say. The Giant Drop looked snazzy as tho in its green spotlight...
  20. Is anyone able to confirm whether or not the west side of drop is active again?
