  1. There's an option to do a mild/wild choice with alternate cars - and it doesn't cost a dime extra to run! I also think Australians can take a fair bit of force - even though our choices are limited. This shows how bad the operations are at our parks - and yes I sound like a broken record player - but rollercoasters are high capacity, they've just gotta be operated better! Rivals has a advertised capacity of 960rph, I've witnessed rates of around 200rph. (To compare - Velocicoaster running 2 trains is 768rph) I'm all for another gyro swing if its the next size up - a ride on The Claw and and a ride on CraZanity are so completely different.
  2. Fast and Furious is their biggest fail ever (particularly if you've done the USH tour) - and I feel like they know it - since that there's been heaps of focus on coasters - especially for Epic Universe. Rumours of RRR being replaced once Epic Universe is open too.
  3. Why not tho? They’re both really good - tried and tested models. Personally I pulled the most G’s ever on a free spin. (Maybe second most)
  4. Opening the gates before the platform is clear of the previous riders doesn’t change the safety margin at all. Lining up more than one train behind the gates doesn’t change the safety margin at all.
  5. Formula Rossa and other intense rides in the middle east require something to go over the top of religious head scarfs. Can be seen in the third row.
  6. The hours are still shit - it needs to be like 11am to 9pm during the peak summer period. Keep the food places open for longer so people can eat dinner there too and that alone should pay it off. To compare - Universal Studios Hollywood is open 09:00 AM - 10:00 PM at the moment (middle of their winter) - and their halloween events run til 2am. I'm going off the reviews that the attendants are still required to do the seatbelts. Even more wild that at dreamworld they're required to rfid each row .. I'm still 100% certain someone saw them do it on Hagride and decided it would be a great idea for their ride (of a completely different system).
  7. The tornado has nothing to do with how crap their operations are - for years now.
  8. No one can still answer why the ride attendants need to put the seatbelts on - when it’s fine for the guest to do it on every other park on the planet on this same ride model (most don’t even have seatbelts) And as @Baconjack said - I’d you want to have train securing methods that are way over the top - put 4 people on the platform that their whole job is to secure the train - and let them check each row independently (not wait for an issue on the other side of the train to be fixed) No one can still answer why the ride attendants need to put the seatbelts on - when it’s fine for the guest to do it on every other park on the planet on this same ride model (most don’t even have seatbelts) And as @Baconjack said - If you want to have train securing methods that are way over the top - put 4 people on the platform that their whole job is to secure the train - and let them check each row independently (not wait for an issue on the other side of the train to be fixed) Don’t know what happened above - I can’t edit it 😕
  9. The least they could have done is extend the hours by a few hours, and not accept queue skips during those hours.
  10. I saw some branches across rivals track too - not sure if it needs engineering checks etc ?
  11. I think this is purely a tactic to sell an annual pass - the platinum pass is $125 per year right now and includes parking - so you make it worth while with 2 visits. A diamond pass at $200/y includes all US six flags parks.. all with discounts too.
  12. It’s the opposite for me - I B-line out there after I land to reject the jet lag. Did you do Wonder Woman in the back row? I found the rides (especially Tatsu) are considerably slower in the cold
  13. Yeah a bit of a L I guess it was a lot cheaper than remaking all the supports (and footers)
  14. 10 days later … it’s testing https://x.com/estop_central/status/1734341916207276111?s=46
