  1. Wow guys, this is fantastic information... I didn't expect such a thorough reply! Thanks to Joz especially, that information is invaluable. I was going to avoid weekends like the plague, but it seems they are the best days to go on. So glad I asked!
  2. We're an older family... youngest is 20, no little kids. Looking for fun and thrills. We want to go to the 3 Vip parks because we went to Dreamworld 5 years ago, and nothing has changed substantially enough for it to be worthwhile for us to go again... except for Whitewater World, but Wet n' Wild looks bigger and better in my opinion. We haven't been to Movieworld or Seaworld in over 10 years, so a lot more has changed for us to see! Although even if we had seen it all, we'd probably still choose the Village Roadshow Parks.
  3. Hey guys, Me and the family are heading up to the gold coast for 2 weeks after Christmas (from the 28th) and plan to go to the 3 Village Roadshow parks on the VIP pass. I know that it's a really busy time to go, but I was just wondering if there are any days of the week that are better to go on than others... Any other advice would be great as well! Thanks.
  4. I reckon movieworld is a much classier park.
  5. Is 'The Green Room' some sort of surfing term??? And 'Temple of Huey'??? Sounds a bit amatuer to me.
  6. How's construction on this thing? Has it gotten any taller?
  7. A lim system is pretty gosh darn fancy for a water slide! I'm still waiting for the rest of the colour scheme of the park to materialise before I pass a good judgement on it. At the moment it seems like it's uncomfortably halfway between co-ordinated/controlled and rediculously vibrant/colourful, which I think will look really cool.
  8. It'd be cool to see an air-time filled intamin prefab. woodie go in near WWF, but that might be asking a little too much.
  9. I think a Maurer Sohne spinning coaster named Tsunami would fit perfectly...they could have two of those verticle overbanks in a row to sort of simulate 'riding the waves'.
  10. ^ And long sweeping turns/drops. I saw somewhere else that Dreamworld had ended the deal with Vekoma...is this true?
  11. I reckon one of their mine trains could be fun....they could theme it to the Gold Rush Country area.
  12. So are all wooden coasters like that? I know the beastie was: it's sort of put me off them a lot...
  13. Does anyone have some photos of Wet n' Wild's new attraction in action?
  14. I remember going on The Bush Beast for the first time, and the first drop threw me out of the seat (not all the way, but it felt like it would)! Does that always happen on wooden coasters or were the lap bars really loose or wasn't I holding on tight enough? Because on American coasters the single lap bars look tight, and a little more safe than the single lap bar I remember having on the Bush Beast.
  15. 56 million! They could have built two coasters with that money!!!!
  16. Are they actually going to put any logo or theming on the trains, or are they going to be generic?
  17. Sounds heaps exciting! I thought all they were going to do was replace the other Mammoth Falls slide and do a kid's section, but it looks like I was wrong!
  18. It looks perfect, rising above the Movieworld entrance like that!
  19. Superman at Six Flags Magic Mountain is Superman; Ultimate Escape. Our superman is escaping, but not in an ultimate way.
  20. It's open and it looks SO good. I watched a cbs news report and it showed the producer on the ride, and his cheeks were flapping, it was going so fast! Awesome! http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/05/20/...ain696741.shtml
  21. Come on, I want the track pieces to arrive so we can all gawk at photos of them lying in Movie World's car park. That's one of my favourite past times.
