  1. I just have to add I don't appreciate my name being slid into your comments Richard. We have a basic disagreement of almost all matters we have discussed on these threads. So I respectfully request you refrain from using my comments, in or out of context moving forward. I enjoy hearing opinion, stories and ideas. I enjoy reading and researching historical and contemporary information but i think for now I may just go back to being a silent reader of the forums for now
  2. If in the event of some reason the Scenic Railway would slip backwards, the ride/track is fitted with anti-roll back devices in all areas of the track where it is needed, and yes they do work.
  3. I think this is really really disappointed... With all the recent media reports about problems with the rides ?, who here has known of a media report to be 100% true? and ALL?? would that be two? or is there something else going on at my work place that I dont know about?... Like i said really disappointed maybe Im wrong but you seem to link, the tech difficulties and the selling of the park, let me make it nice and clear, as in lots of big business deals, the park was back on the market shortly after it was taken over by BCR, none of that is private information, and if as much attention was paid to the business pages as it is to the tabloids people may be better informed out there. I guess I just expected people of this forum to be a little more open minded about the industry.. but then again thats just my two cents
  4. Are you serious Nebuchanezzar?, did you not read when she said she was the webmaster? Do you not understand what a webmaster is? I think first of all -Katrina welcome to R-c and thanks for posting and attempting to help is a much more appropriate response then to throw a couple of lines of crap opinion at her, As pretty as the web page is, Im confident her passing on your opinion or that of her specific superiors wouldnt and couldnt change the set up of the park and while Im having a whinge a please and thank you doesnt go astray
  5. I think a point some people are missing is that LPM isnt a thrill park, and doesnt pretend to be one, so I like the mix of rides gazza has chosen to choose to replace older style 'fun family' rides with thrill rides I think would lose the small amount of current atmosphere LPM has... but thats just my opinion
  6. WOW .. i had no idea these forums got so heated!. i know I'm new, and this thread is old, but lets face it no park could run without any of the positions you have all been talking about so, wouldnt it make sense that everyone has a level of guest services in their roles, even the burger flippers, I mean when they walk back and forth from the toilets etc etc across the park I'm sure theyve been stopped at one point or another and asked a question, so we should all agree that to work at an amusement park of sorts you must by default be a bloody legend, and leave it at that ....
  7. Nothing wrong with ya plan Gazza Keep it up, Im sure you would find them folk at LPM interested in a a little looksie when ya done, places like LPM thrive on what the caring general public think!
