well after the success of the Zipper video (not posted here) , I thought i'd make another video, this time of our Fabbri Ranger. In this video, you can see how O'Neills really make it go (too fast I feel). Click the link, but wait for the link to appear. You have to wait about 30-1minute, and then the link will appear for you to right click and save. Hope you like it, and would love to hear your views. Chris RANGER VIDEO No Carnival bashers please, im not here to please you guys, and if it does happen, Ill just remove the link

agreed, one of the best parts of Ranger/Rainbow, their Hydrolic engines! just worth hearing the sound! hehehe -
Neb, um the list should be out around mid-end of February, or even eary March if they haven't finished finalising layout and stuff. With all the new rides, and Hard Rock etc to sydney, it will be interesting to see what goes where. Of course id love to see a compleltly new layout, but it should be similar to 2004 also Gazza, Im not 100% but it could be - Tas Pickett Amusements, Im sure that Shaddo will correct me if im wrong... chris

yeah unfortunetly there are many things that aren't very good in rct3. Shame they had to rush it. If they had of taken their time, they wouldn't have had to worry about making patches so reverse the problems.

Great Work on cedar point, all ive managed is to recreate the melbourne show... lol

Does anyone know the exact date Hard Rock will be leaving, I pressume some time next week because of School.... And I wonder if it will be heading to Moomba, that would be great...

Interesting as to why they are taking up their Top Gun, when O'Neills should be running their double fabbri ranger there...... Last time I saw it was at the 2004 St Kilda Festival. Also good to hear the wave will be there, I really need to get to Sydney this year.

Crap joke, but Kingda Ka, looks awesome!

Well, Shorts will most likely bring their Chance made Zipper to the EKKA this year. The only problem that has been noted was at the 2003 Royal Melbourne Show when a bolt sheared off the ride. They didn't exactly say where, but there were girls complaining that their door was loose, it wasnt, it was just the lap bar that was loose. Anyways the problem did get fixed and it is running fine. Zipper is a ride that has had various problems over the years, in America. One known incident was when 2 people were getting off the ride, and the boom jolted forward, throwing the riders forward, leading to their deaths. That isnt the full story, but its along the lines of that. Our Zippers here have a great safety record, seriously, don't worry about the cons of the ride, just concentrate on having a wicked and scary time! You will really love it! Chris

One thing I noticed while taking my first ride, I didn't think once about the door flying open or like someone said, the feeling like your cage was going to come loose from the two (very thin, might I add) support frames. Wittingslows Ferrari made Zipper is infact still the same model from the 70's and hasn't had any problems. Also Shorts Zipper, the one which is currently at Rye, is a younger model, but is an original from Chance that was purchased in SA. The door is held in by a locking lever, and then a pin that fits through the hole, where the door is. There is a knob sort of, and there is a hole in the door, the knob is sticking out, and the weird looking clamp pin is fitted through the hole. You can hear it click in when the loader puts it in. I can't see myself being scared of falling out of the ride, im pretty cool with it. Chris

will do soon, and scott, ride it ITS GREAT

I voted Excellent! Worth every cent, just make sure you don't mind flipping heaps, and trying to keep your head from smacking into the bars when flipping backwards (best thing to do is completly STAND, and then you will just hit the padding, unless you are tall enough, its fine) But RIDE IT! you won't regret it!, if you dont ride it, YOU WILL REGRET IT!, totally insane fun chris
-
yeah, it is pretty extroadinary! Can't wait to have a ride......lol eventually!
-
Don't worry caroline!, I rode a Zipper last week, and you have nothing to worry about... Honestly, when you are on it, you don't even think about the door flying open, your too busy yelling, or having heaps of fun! Just take a ride and you wont regret it! Also, I really can't wait to get to germany in the future, to try that amazing OLYMPIA LOOPING, and their other spectacular rides! chris
-
how on earth can you say it is an industry that doesn't need more, come on, it's just like parks getting new rides. People want to see new rides, not just the same selection year after year!. This is the first time in ages that we've seen this amount of rides come to Australia. You don't have to appreciate it, but people like me do, so you think what you want, but it doesn't really matter what you say, the industry will continue to expand...... pfft..
-
Hopefully 2005 will shape up to be a good year for the shows, we've already got the new Rainbow on its way, Twin Flip, and maybe an Inverter heading down shortly, so lets hope the shows pick up, and have a turn out like they used to be. I really hope Zipper returns to the Melbourne show, as last year was strange not seeing it.

I must say im more excited to see Zipper now, more than Rainbow at the moment! Go the Zipper! that ride is the sh*t! I love it

What ever happened to Tops at the Myer Centre Brisbane???
HussRainbow replied to crazycow's topic in Theme Park Discussion
hmm......we had one like that here at David Jones, don't know why it got shut down. Could have been run by wittingslow, but I don't remember -
I also think that the ride should spin more, its not very special, but it is FUN, not thrilling or exciting, just a bit of fun... and lol, Neb, I know more about the industry than you would, so you keep on being a smart a**....

Well im sorry, I think I should ring up TPA and tell them that you don't like it, so they can purchase something else that meets your standards
