  1. Matty, at 6:00 he was just introducing that he was at Deamworld to check out the Flowrider, 6:30 he was looking at the tigers, 7:00 he was riding TOT - pretty average fottage - just showed him go out of the tunnel and come back in(he rode it wth Goldie the clown), 7:30 he was just doing an interview next to the Flowrider with a famous surfer(can't remember his name), at 8:00 he was talking to CEO and looking at the waterpark and at 8:30 he was riding the Flowrider. The show was alright, nothin' special - just thought they could of replayed him on Superman. They also showed a sneak peak of Spiderman 3 - I hope this post helps you Matty. CoasterBoy6
  2. I decided to turn on the T.V at 6:00 to see if there was anything on Sunrise (because Superman Returns is coming out today). I thought they might replay Grant Denyer on Superman Escape - but it looks like there not going to do because he is at Dreamworld checking out Flowrider. Just thought people would like to see some official fotage of Dreamworld's new ride. CoasterBoy6
  3. Gazza, I think what they are trying to say is that there thrill rides (meaning "FLAT RIDES") are number one - until Batwing opens, yes, Dreamworld has had the lead in Flat rides - and really Batwing is only 'one' ride. So, i guess Dreamworld still has the lead.
  4. Very funny Drewboy!! That was a very stupid mistake - it should of been - floorless or Dive Machine. I'll fix it up.
  5. This is what i think about the situation - Dreamworld used to be my favourite park until last year when WnW and MW started bringing new top-notch rides, things that you would see all over American parks. However, Dreamworld has never built anything that good, other than Tower Of Terror (When it first came out, that is) Giant Drop and the Claw. Basically, i don't even call Cyclone a ride anymore - it should be ripped down and be replaced with a nice B&M - even if they keep the same ride name and theming. Now onto the Waterpark - If Dreamworld don't make this Waterpark equal to or better to WnW then it is just a waste of money. And some one please tell me, "What was the point of a Flowrider facing into the park and not 'inside' the waterpark - it would make much more scence to have a water ride 'inside' a "Waterpark" and who wants to watch a couple of people trying to surf a artifial wave while you are at a themepark (trying to enjoy the dry rides). In the future dreamworld should do this: - After this years arival of the new waterpark they should start to plan the demolish of Cyclone - middle of 2007 - After Cyclone is ripped down they should add the B&M - Floorless or Dive Machine - Begining of 2008 - Then they could focus on mabey a nice woody at the back of the park - themed to an Australian animal and incorparated into the Wildlife section of the park - middle of 2009 - Focus on less "skill" related rides and continue with what Dreamworld does after a couple of major rides are released - Build a flat ride!! Well these are just my thoughts - If anyone wants to comment on my post, please do. CoasterBoy6
  6. Does anybody have any pics of the progression of Tornado and the tube leading into the funnel. I think I saw a post from mattcrombie saying that he went past wetnwild and was trying to get some pics. If anybody has any pics (including mattcrombie)could you please post them up - This would be greatly appreciated! Thanks CoasterBoy8
  7. Just two quick questions for mattcrombie: 1. Does the slide leading into the funnel do any fancy stuff(E.g. Sharp turns, like Pacific Spin in Soak City) or is it just a plain drop? 2. If there is fancy stuff, could you please describe it (Photos would be even better). Thanks CoasterBoy8
  8. Are they are still doing that show? I didn't know that! And were did thewy relocate it Spotty - You said something about the "Movie World Show Stage", where is that?
  9. Thanks for those great pics of tornado, dreamworld rulz. It looks absoulutely huge from the highway!! Just one last question to finnish off. How accurate is that date that you posted up about the opening of Tornado that Dreamworld Rulz posted up? This is because I'm going to the Gold Coast in September and i might miss riding it. I think i'm going around the 10th to the 18th, and if your date is right well i might just be able to ride it. If anybody has any knowledge of the exact opening date of Tornado and can post it, it would be greatly appreciated. CoasterBoy8
  10. Since seeing there is not much going on in the Roller-Coaster.com.au Forums, I thought I might just add something that will spice things up a bit! Who has ever thought that they could off built a ride better or add better themeing to the ride? I know I have, and there are a lot of people out there who think the same thing. For Example: TOWER OF TERROR: The theming around the queue line is great and i think gives it a great eerie feel. However, they could improve the bit in the queue line that looks like your walking across a thin bridge between two skyscrapers. They could also improve the launch out of the tunnel. What they could do is install one of those new "Fogscreens" (I saw it on Beyond Tommorow). What it does is it acts like a temporary screen that images can be projected onto. They could have like a countdown from 10 to 0 and then you would blast through he fog. To make it even better they could even have smoke machines filling the tunnel with fog and lighting to make it look really good!! If people could please give there thoughts about the "ride you want to change" it would be greatly appreciated. CoasterBoy 6
  11. Thanks guys, that was very usefull info you gave me, really appreciate it!! And special thanks to mattcrombie for posting up that great pic. One last thing i want to add: Are you sure that it is opening in September? The funnel is already completed. All they have to do is add a splash pool, supports (To hold up the funnel) and the entry tube. I don't think that it will open any early than September. However, if it did, mabey around late July early to mid August. I think Tornado is going to look really good when it is finished and I can't wait to ride it September. CoasterBoy8
  12. Hi everyone. Because I live in Melbourne and i can't see and ride Tornado or any of MV or WNW's new rides until September. Basically what i'm trying to say is, DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY DECENT PICS OF TORNADO PLEASE!!!! And could somebody please give me some dimensions of the funnel, because i don't understand how "Massive" it actually is. And just another thing to add: Does anybody know when the official opening of the ride is, this is because i usually miss riding rides that open up in September. If people could please give some answers, pics or comments it would be very appreciated. Thanks CoasterBoy8
  13. Thanks Richard, that statement is very true. I love the Corkscrew!!
  14. Hi everyone, I'm going up to the Gold Coast in September and it will be my first time riding Superman and all of Wet'n'Wild's new slides. And I was just wondering do coasters degrade after a while? For Example: Superman Escape opened up last year in December, and I'm going to ride it in September( Nearly a year after the opening). Basically, what i'm trying to ask is, Will the ride feel any different than if i road it in December last year? If people could give me some opinions it would be truly apreciated! Thanks CoasterBoy8
  15. The show on the 26th of April (Wednesday) was really good, I watched the whole thing! The best part was when Ellen pushed the leaver and then water went all over the Rift Raft! During the show they also had that eleven year old kid talk about the Hulk, damn kid got a holiday and a life time pass to Uviversal studios and Orlannd!!!! There was some good coverage of the Incredible Hulk, i thought it was good how they changed the camera angles now-and-then. Did anybody watch the Thursday show this week? I would apreciate it if someone could give a overview of the show.
  16. I was just flicking through the channels yesterday and found this show called the: Ellen DeGeneres Show on channel Ten. I have never seen this show before! The show was taped at Universal Studios Orlando and not in a studio. The show is like Oprah but more casual and it is a three part thing. Basically the show is called Ellen's three day trip to Orlando, the first show was on monday the 24th of april and the last show is on wednesday the 26th of april on Australian T.V. They showed a little bit of The Incrediable Hulk Coaster and Jurassic Park the ride. Apparently on tommorows show Ellen might be riding the Hulk which is on Wednesday the 26th of April at 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the afternoon. I would like to no if anybody else saw the show and if they did does anybody no who the host is? Thanks! Coaster Boy 6
  17. A couple of weeks ago i went to the city to see a friend. I think i was on the Bolty Bridge(not sure) and i saw some carnival rides at the end of the Docklands. There was a Ferris Wheel, jumping caslte, top gun and a portable drop ride. Apparently at the Melbourne show last year they had a drop tower, they also said that it was having its first apperance at the show and it was the only one in Australia. Could it be the same one or mabey i read the article wrong from the Herald Sun last year? I would appreciate it if people could post info about the drop tower if they have seen it.
  18. I went to Infinity last September, great attraction, but bit expensive. The best room in infinity was the one were you had to walk though the very dark hallways and only little red lazer lights were projected onto to mirrors to guide you through the darkness!! The also had things hanging off the ceilings(FREAKY!!) However, the most entertaining rooms were the mirror room(nearly stacked myself pretty badly! and the suspended bridge room(nearly s#@t myself when i looked down!! I have also been to Ripely's Believe it or Not Museum. Just to finish off my post: Has anybody been to space walker, i've heard it is supposed to be really good?
  19. LOL!! very funny Spotty. Or mabey they add the holes for atmosphere. Take Terror Cannon 1 and 2 for instance, they have arrows made out of holes showing you the way you are going to go and then you trun a sharp corner!! (Our tube nearly fliped on one of the corners!!!
  20. Hopefully dreamworld's new water park has got some new generation water rides (never seen in Australia). I also hope that wetnwild get more people in there park so that each time i go and ride a ride close to the wp i don't find myself sitting on a wet and smelly seat!!!!!
  21. Just wondering, does anybody have any ideas about what will happen to the Blue Lagoon section of the of Dreamworld after the new waterpark is built? I was thinking mabey either a next generation thrill ride or another themed area. What is your thoughts?
  22. Those pics are great! I can relly see it coming together now. I think Dreamworld is going to do a great job with the new waterpark but I still think that wetnwild will pull the crowds. I can't wait until December!!
  23. Cool!! I have always wanted a "coaster radio" style show for downunder. I will definately be listening in each fortnight
  24. Hi, I am new to this forum as you can probably see. I am 13 years of age and live in Melbourne. I agree, I went to Dreamworld last September with my family. My brother can't go on the big thrill rides because he is too short. This causes alot of problems, especially when my parents have to look after him and miss out on the ride themselves. I think dreamworld should build at least two new family/thrill rides. One should be a coaster and the other a flat ride. What is your opinions
