A memorable ride at Rainbows End will be closing at Rainbows End on the 19st of Aug, the Pirate Ship!

This is a sad time for many New Zealanders, as for some of us this is our first theme park ride we had ever been on. I personally are shocked that they would announce a closure so suddenly. On the bright side though, they will be building a new attraction there which will open in 2018. Remember when Chris talked about adding a dark ride? Perhaps it could be built be on this site. I hope whatever will be put there is as good as some of the major thrill rides! (Let's hope it's not a kiddie ride like AA).

I am very pleased to see that Rainbows End is expanding and improving quickly. It's just so sad seeing such a fond memory go. Very little pirate ships left in the world now.
