LOL. well it wasn't that long... kinda disappointing. The ride looked great though! But I didn't know you sang Gazza... hehe
-
Lol considering it will be summer and you live in Melbourne... I think the weather will be warm

Look out, just for some people interested. Showing what a ride mechanic does before the park opens. Very basic. Just though I would let you know LOL.... i just realised I mispelt the shak with the shake... I feel stupid now

Cheers big ears. Should be good... it will give me a good insight of the park before I go.

Mick Doohan-Dreamworlds biggest blunder?
mickey_079 replied to sonic123488's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Yes but dreamworld I never said anything about what it looks like. You saying never judge a book by its cover to me is like saying I said... the ride LOOKS hidious, boring and dull so I'm not going to ride it when I never said anything like that and when infact I actually said I DID want to ride, but ride it with a different perspective than the one originally intended. I stated the reviews turned me off the ride e.g the long queue lines, not turned me off riding the actual thing. -
Mick Doohan-Dreamworlds biggest blunder?
mickey_079 replied to sonic123488's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Unfortunately I haven't experience the new attraction yet. I must admit all the bad reviews are turning me off the ride, although there has also been a fair share of good reviews as well, so I am currently having mixed views of the ride. I should be heading to the GC for 4 days in the holidays coming up, purely just to experience the Batwing, WWW, Surfrider and Mick Doohan (perhaps the SW Eye as well). What is confusing me is that this ride is from Intamin and all rides I have been on by Intamin have been excellent, so why (according to some) isn't this one. The feeling I am getting from the bad reviews is the people saying "its crap and slow" are simply wanting and hoping the ride is a thrill ride before experiencing it (which is fair enough as DW has put it in there thrill ride category). So if I do get to ride it I'm going for a different approach, I'm taking it as a family coaster with very low thrills. I enjoy a good ride whether it be thrill, wet, family, gentle or transport type ride and key aspects to me is atmosphere and theming. I mean I love the road runner coaster, its not thrilling but its really fun I do agree though about some people saying it's been added to the 5 (now 6) thrill rides when it was also stated as a family attraction. To me a family attraction can be enjoy from members of the family of the age of 6 to 70+ and a thrill road could be intended for the same age group, minus the difficulties of height restrictions and health issues. I don't know, like I said, I haven't ridden it so I can't necessarily judge it. Thats just what I think -
If true, Impressive. Makes me nervous for Wet 'n' Wild though. What could we expect from the expansion, more high tech world firsts or just your everyday slides, perhaps a dark mammoth? Hey they could even go with another Intamin ride and watch it go downhill when they install it (surfrider and motocoaster). Sorry I had to say that, Intamin rocks though

Tower of Terror Closing Down More Frequently
mickey_079 replied to Dreamworld Ride Op's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Lets just hope there is nothing seriously wrong with ToT. I know some people may think this is boring but its what put Dreamworld back on top... there are IMO due for another ride to put them back up there. One classic ride has been closed, it can't happen to another one. Hearing about all those noises and such, seems a bit weird for a mechanic to just sit there and go... yeah it was doing that the other day, its cool... NO ITS NOT!! Thats like saying your motorbike is making a grinding noise when you twist the throttle and saying keep riding its nothing. As Richard said though could be nothing. Only time will tell and again we should pray to the Roller Coaster God. -
Don't forget Matt has been VERY accurate and correct with information he has given us in the past, don't go saying he is full of it just yet. Its a bit early to say that. But about the whole whats next, why is it our parks won't tell us what they have planned for the future but Disneyland and Disneyworld are more than gladly to tell there fans what they have installed next?

Are there any tutorials around for the game? I have had the game for some time but well... I suck at it basically. Are there any tutorials around for the game? I have had the game for some time but well... I suck at it basically.Nice recreation btw. Only thing is.. I thought after the loop the turn went more over the station. I like but, better than what I can do.

But cracked fiber glass would have to be one of the most easiest things to repair. Just sand it back, put a new bit of fiber glass over it, sand it so its even a whack on a bit of paint. But then again to much hassle for Dreamworld Last time I went the wave actually needed a new coat of paint as did the sign and gondola. In fact the rust needs to be fixed on that lol.

Ok nice post Churros lol. Can we stop bi-ching? I think its turning guests off from signing up. Anyway, as someone mentioned earlier, Seaworld is a really nice, relaxing and fun park. Every time I go up there I ALWAYS visit Seaworld no matter what. You have a bit there for everyone. Its especially great if your flying to the GC with a family, you know how it is, stressing out, worrying about the accommodation, when you get there the last thing on your mind is theme parks. I think seaworld is what gets ride of all the stress. I don't know what kind of person wouldn't find the very intelligent and friendly dolphins fun to watch, or the gorgeous polar bears. I did the shark swim last year and I found that VERY entertaining... but everyone watches you lol. Seaworld IMO is a MUST DO. You don't need to have a passion or a love for animals to enjoy your time spent there.

Just on the topic of theming... what did happen to original theming in GD and why do they no longer use the lift in ToT? I think the lifts would of added to the rides atmosphere and hype. But I think T-Bone has got the best idea, forget about attractions, fix it up, turn it into the park it once use to be, and why can't they use the water on the wave on Wipeout anymore? Don't say drought because how is it that Wet 'n' Wild can use those massive water jets on their new attraction? I know the surfrider has a pool underneath the ride but not ALL the water is running off into that pool whereas on W.O it is all running into the pool of water (so I have been told). Oh BTW what is a cyclone machine Sonic??

I think it takes the whole point of a zoo away. You go to a zoo to view animal's... you go to a theme park to ride the rides. I think our Australian zoo's are brilliant and I think the Wildlife World in Sydney is just one of many animal exhibits that are well done. Also remembering though, most animals in our zoo's are native and most don't like LOUD noises. I think more animals is better than adding a ride.

Yeah man there sure is. Go to your reception at your accommodation and they can arrange a shuttle bus for you. It's what we did in '96, '03 (well when my sister went, I never got to when I did g'day USA) and when we go in January. Unfortunately X most likely won't be open for you. I called SFMM two weeks ago (not cheap) about the X and they told me a "soft" opening would occur at the time I was there. I read on another site that they were actually behind, last night I called them again... its true, they are very far behind in things, don't know why.

Meh if it plays up I will just replace the laser in, easy fixed:) wanna know whats a pain to work on... the fat PS2... the ribbon cables keep coming out when you reassemble them. Thanks for the link

Does anyone have the Wii DVD HACK yet? I'm getting mine put in just before christmas... I don't need it but hey you can never have enough dvd players lol. Also.. custom cases... are there any out on the market yet do you have to make a fully custom one yourself? I uh hope thats not serious gazza... damn the chinese, invent your own things and stop making cheap imitations that cost more to keep running than the what the product originally cost. EDIT... I just installed software on my computer so I view all files from my computer on my Wii... its actually pretty good especially if the Wii is the lounge room and I wanna check a file on my computer http://corp.orb.com/gamers/wii.htm

when i say buy a ps3 i dont mean because you can copy it, I mean because PS3 is the the best gaming console, for the best gaming experience though simply go a gaming PC Oh yeah I know theres heaps of dodgy ones, what I don't like is the price you have to pay a Wii game when it really isn't worth that much
-
I wish there was a way to install a hard drive and just install the games on it... like x-box But to solve the problem simply just purchase a PS3 Oh I bought a new Wii game today... and well personally I think the Wii was my biggest waste of money, it simply just doesn't compare to the other gaming consoles. Try playing a driving games, its very hard and takes a while to get use to the corner and braking. Oh well it looks good in my room lol
-
nope. you have to get it done privately. Although numerous Wii chippers and ps2 and xbox chippers in newcastle advertise. my uncle's friend did mine, and all my other consoles... apart from ps2, thats not done
-
You need to be extremely careful when chipping a Wii to ensure you get the right chip. There are many imitations out there that work for the first month but than poo themselves and dont even play burnt games. $50 and $75 is heaps to cheap for a genuine working chip. For a good chip that allows to you download games for free and play burnt games expect to pay $90 ish. Don't buy them from computer fairs, none of these work. Also if you pay a few bucks extra you get a modification which gives you more blocks I had mine done 6 months ago P.S however my chip was a prototype and I have no yet experience any problems, so I could be wrong... its also very illegal

When I went up last year to the Morocan (don't how to spell it) it had waters savers on every tap, brochures telling us to please be considerate as the Gold Coast is near water restriction. There were also times in every shower, in the pool it also said please be considerate, don't not displace water. When sister went up two weeks ago heaps of these signs and similar things were all over the place. As for what you said AlexB, car yards still do wash there cars, but they use a dry wash, which is available from heaps of places, and talking to the Autobarn staff they said you can claim half the money back you spent on these through tax But I think only a certain brand they stock, prob. government issued or something.
-
Whats the go with the trains? They look big bulky and hidious. I think if a new attraction is installed it will again only be a small coaster
-
Taken from the sanderson page... LOL WHAT STORY LINE WAS THERE!? On the sanderson site it has a cow not a sheep, they must have changed it or something I dunno. Sorry that was off topic. Continue ^ I heard a rumor of a big coaster going in next year, near blue lagoon, well I have heard more than one and when I read it on the forums I though to myself.. hmm... but what could go there?
-
lol just on the cyclone theming.. what is with it? theming looked like it cost about 50 cents, all parts taken from the tip face. And what ever happened to the cow that use to be on top of the turbine?
