Village Roadshow Them Parks have requested to extend the currency period of all three aspects of the existing development approval by four years. The requested extension to the currency period is based on the following grounds. Since the development approval was issued by the Council, turbulence in the local and national theme park sector has resulted in the delivery of the Outback Lodge attraction being delayed. The four (4) year extension is considered necessary in order to provide the Applicant with sufficient time to monitor the theme park market recovery and reach substantial commencement of the works. The Applicant been delivering a range of new attractions at the Oxenford landholdings, including the HyperCoaster attraction at Movie World and the opening of Australia’s first Top Golf. As a result of these significant investments in the Applicant’s Oxenford landholding, it has been necessary for other capital works projects to be reviewed and delivery time frames realigned. The approved development remains consistent with the development outcomes envisaged on the site by the Gold Coast City Plan.

Stuff ups? If you x-ray a track during maintenance and find a problem you're not going to reopen the ride until it's fixed. Considering how long the rides were down at DW during the review period every ride should be running like new. To add to my belief this has more to do with bad management than to a broken ride is HWSW was due to go down a few months ago but the maintenance was postponed. A ride that DW management believed was fine to prolong its in service time now all of a sudden is to f-up for people to ride. 1. People have been riding a broken ride Or 2. DW don’t give a poo poo and have it closed for cost cutting.

@AlexB I didn't come down in the last shower. I've studied every inch of that crane and no connection could be found. If you want to talk about good ideas than I'm your man because all DW needed to do was fit a boom to the TOT. Talk about a solution looking them in the face all along.

Good luck with that! The cabin is fixed to the tower and I see no turntable to rotate the jib. I don't want to be the one that says it, but this crane is poppycock and I can't believe DW wasted money on it because it will never work.
