  1. Last night I calculated the angle off the station plans and I ended up with 41d20'54” With this angle and the footing located in the car park the coaster cannot be any higher than 65.791m if the coaster continues to that point. If the maximum height is reached without going across the road I have a maximum in height of 61.387m high. (Maths completed by skeeta should never be relied upon). (((((((((((((((Sorry I thought it would merge)))))))))).
  2. I almost got the money shot this morning. I was having my morning coffee when the construction crew just started to lift the track that connects to the temporally braced support when it started to rain. They stopped the lift and I had ran out of time and had to go to work. 5 new containers were swapped over this morning and they opened the doors of 2 of the 5 doors while I was there. Both containers were ½ loaded with Mack crates and 1 piece of track that sat on top of the crates in each container.
  3. It's great that this has closed because a few people would like to discuss your design with you. First of all I would like to wish you the best of luck @Richard. Is your overback turn an inny or an outy banking turn?
  4. Who do people think decides the order the track gets delivered in?
  5. Breath They wouldn't just "randomly" choice a location to start building and I would think it has nothing to do with an announcement.
  6. TPSN is not a real source. "First pieces of new hyper coaster are getting placed!" NO! TPSN the supports were placed first not the track getting placed in your video. Besides that it's all good.
  7. If a coaster can get me to pull this face I would say it's a good coaster. The more face pulls the higher the rank.
  8. Thank god that long weekend is over. Now we can get back to some serious coaster building. I had an early start today and couldn’t do a drive-by so unless somebody else gives us an update I will be driving past around 6 tonight.
  9. As an enthusiast getting stuck on a ride is a great adventure.
  10. Spotty nailed it 3 years ago, after an accident on a carnival ride sparked another conversation.
  11. This would not surprise me @AlexB because MW coaster is 100m longer > Lightning which has a top speed of 115km/h. I don't know if being an extra metre in height gives you an extra 5km/h but it wouldn't be far off.
  12. It won't be like @AllegroCrab picture because that is not a Mack turn around.
  13. The 3 containers have been sitting in the car park for days. I don't believe any new track has arrived for 2-3 days.
  14. Thank you for the photos @Glubbo How are you guys getting a zero G roll from the support?
  15. I can't be sure because I don't know how the forces move & work as it goes downhill.
  16. I have no idea what is going on either side but from what I see I have the train going from right to left. My thoughts are the A side of the support is always taking the direct force while the B side is to brace. If it was running downhill A & B would be swapped around or rotated 90deg. (My A is whatever side of the support has the largest diameter). C I have an ass clench moment just finished and D you can now catch your breath. (that is based on my direction of travel only). How many more metres of track have we got to go? If it is a loop this might be the location. My A & B theory shows larger support on the outside. I would almost put money on it that wrong because I don't know the what's going on around it.
  17. I forgot to mention the cherry picker is getting involved now. From @AlexB photos yesterday. Is this the transfer track?
  18. @Brad2912You missed the arrival of the big crane. I only got to see them setting up the big crane and had to leave for work. Maybe we should have had a coffee together. I should put that in perspective the big crane is really just the next size up crane. They have around 6 longer supports laying on the ground next to where the track was being placed yesterday. I wonder if they will install the longer supports before the track because they have way too much track ready to go for the few supports installed.
  19. I haven't been up close so I don't know but what is messing with my head is if it is leading into the loop why do we have the plate that connects to a double spine track on the on the other side?
  20. I think I'm misreading something here. Is the track #49 & #50 after or before the loop?
