  1. I don't really want to ask after @AlexB last answer. If a Giga is about drops what is a strata coaster about?
  2. As you can see for yourself 80% of dodgy people don't accept it. If you go by your idea “if most places around the world accept it” you should be driving on the right side of the road. You can tell the police it's ok because most countries in the world drive this way. As I have said before the name of Hypercoaster is only used to put an image into your head. If you don’t get that same image if it’s 60m and not 61 metres I’m not going to try and change what you see. If you had a coaster that was 61m in the air with only 4 right turns and never went over 5km/hr would you call it a Hypercoaster? By the definition of a Hypercoaster the answer would be yes. Do you believe that is what most people picture in their mind when they hear the word Hypercoaster?
  3. The other 20% are like a theme park that like to round all transactions up. Why not call it 60.96m instead of 61m? Why if you are anywhere else in the world you have to go 4mm higher to be classed as a hyper?
  4. That is everything I was saying but you said it so much better. 8 random positive reputations for you.
  5. I don't believe I had a "you can sit on the fence option"@ash.1111 Who came up with Hyper, Giga & Strata?
  6. Next time I do a poll I'm selecting "see who votes for what". That way I can pick on who ever don't agree with me. In all honestly if you say "no" it would be good to find out why.
  7. Hypercoaster 200ft-foot-barrierh (61m) really 60.96m Giga coasters 300-foot-barrier (91 m) really 91.44m Strata coasters 400-foot-barrier (120 m) really 121.92m What I don't understand is everywhere I look it says a Strata coaster is 120m. If I double the feet I would think you would double the metre. Why all of a sudden when you reach 400ft it's ok to round down 1.92m.
  8. With vertical construction nearing a start, a question needs to be answered. If the maximum height of the new coaster at Movie World reaches only 196.8ft is it a Hypercoaster. My thoughts: The whole idea of a Hypercoaster is not a metric thing. The 200ft height is a number that was dreamt up. If somebody in Australia came up with the idea of a Hypercoaster the height wouldn't have been set to 200ft, it would have been set to 60m. (Would you call that 196.8ft or would you just round it off to 200ft) The problem of converting imperial to metric measurements is feet it will never give you a nice number which is what 200ft is. If they wanted it at 61 metres it would have been 200.1288ft which it is not. Therefore, RCDB has given it a height of 196.8ft not because it’s not a Hypercoaster but because it gives you a nice clean number of 60 metres.
  9. @AlexB This shows it better. I think they cover the hatch with synthetic grass.
  10. I found this in the MackMag last night so I just divided 1370m by 10m.
  11. I believe a total of 137 pieces of track will be delivered for the track plus whatever is required to get to the maintenance bay. I can’t work out the number of supports.
  12. I like this one he added @themagician It's all the craze now. They call it finger framing.
  13. That work also somewhat. I have noticed digging happening within the swamp. "New scare maze?"
  14. Some things placed inside the compound might not be for the Coaster. One thing for sure is Mack don't make corrugated steel tanks. It is not uncommon for the purpose of fighting fires that a company is required to store a certain amount of water on site.
  15. I’m starting to see applications to build the cabins inside of Paradise Country. I don't know the timeline and when the work will begin but it’s good to know Village are still working on it. I’ve attached a couple of pictures, for anybody who doesn’t remember the cabins I’m talking about but if it all goes ahead they will be built up on the side of the hill behind the parks.
  16. @Gazza What are you on about? When did I say it was a issue? I said what stops it? An answer might be - Nothing, the wheels are allowed to bump the platform. The wheels don't turn that far. When weight is placed on the maintenance wheels it locks the wheel assembly. It may look like it in the photo but it isn’t that close to the platform. Could it be I'm talking on a theme park site and I'm interested to know how this coaster works?
  17. I only say this because by the look of this photo if it did rotate the wheel would hit the platform. Enterprise train. Wheels rotate and has same wheels to remove train from track.
  18. Good review @Reanimated35 I have a few questions. Are you able to ride the old trains from MW backlot tour from the car park up too Paradise Country? Can you see the camping area from within Paradise Country? Do they have any nocturnal animals on display that you cannot see because it is daytime? Is the goat the source of your inside information?
  19. I think we are focusing too much on a single character and getting caught up with what has happened before. Just like "it’s good to be bad", the ride could be more of an idea. Examples of this is it might be a battle between good and evil. It might be one character vs another character or it might be two of the same characters like “Batman & Robin”
  20. @Reanimated35 That's what all owners of MDMC say but us real man know different.
  21. @Ryande16 This might be a question for somebody else. I believe the length I grabbed off the station plans is actual and I hope RCDB is because I am using that length to compare too. If it’s as the crow flies, @Reanimated35 is in a lot of trouble.
