When I checked other photo the pipes do line up with the ground I think. Don't know if it was ever a fire door. Just put it out and about.

Two interesting changes for me. 1. The existing access/fire door has been sheeted. 2. The height of the stormwater pipes sit well above the height of where the tubing round support connects to the foundation. (I always thought the pipes being placed next to the foundation was there to catch the water runoff into the ride load pit area). Not saying that the pipes will not be trimmed but one of the pipes has already been capped. Could the loading platform end up this high. It could just be the angle of the photo.

It's gone from being called a post to a centre pole. I'm sure someone knows the correct name for that section of the ride.

I think the reason behind this is because DW are selling similar unlimited tickets. I have seen heaps of chatter that people are going for the new DW passes instead of the new MW deal. MW have oversold so while they wait for spaces to open up they don't want you buying a DW pass. Telling us they are coming back but not when is them trying to stop us purchasing a DW pass.

I'm trying to read everybody's post but I lost my glasses today so I will read again latter but one thing I did pick up was what AlexB was saying. Probably because I made out the word Act . What @AlexB is saying about discrimination is 100% correct. You can never discriminate against a group if it is for their safety. The only time in my line of work that I do not have to provide provisions say for a wheelchair to a particular area is when it would be unsafe for a wheelchair to operate in that area. An example would be a room full of chemicals that someone could not carry while using their arms to move the wheelchair.

I'm not directly saying it should have been changed but in the NCC a clause states when new work is carried out, the new work needs to meet the new standards and existing if practical. "Practical" is what I am referring to. The new path finished at the original path so what would be asked is it practical that a new crossover be built. No distances are given it just says not to Indirect discrimination a particular group. Personaly if it was my client, I would have put it in. Now that it was not put in at that time, as someone said before, it would now be less practical due to access to the path during trading.

I am surprised that MW have never addressed this issue. The Queensland Discrimination Act ask not to Indirect discrimination a particular group. Indirect discrimination occurs when there is a practice or condition in place for all people which negatively impacts on a particular group. For Example - When the Brisbane Convention Centre was built the shit hit the fan and it changed laws forever. A whole group of people were sued by a group because if you had to use the lift to get access upstairs, you had to travel a further distance than if you were an able person and could use the stairs located out the front. As a results The National Building Code now calls out Australian Standards relating to the Discrimination Act.

The one thing I find strange is it is a requirement to have the Ability to hold on with at least one arm. Does that mean if I place my kid on the ride and they don’t hold on then something will happen. I can take my daughter to MW & SW and she can ride the carousel but at DW she is too young.
