    The last time I went to the Billabong Restaurant 90% of the customers were Asian tourist groups. I would think the restaurant would reopen when the tourist groups come back. I also believe the sheep show closed because the tourist groups stopped.

    We have been friends for 16 years and I still have to give you /s 😢 I agree, you don't have to put an IP on everything and MD & HW are great examples of pointless IPs and IPs done badly. As it stands with DW, the only real theming DW have gotten 100% right (say, in the last 15 years) is Tiger Island & DreamWorks. When DW changed to DreamWorks you could be confident DreamWorks would not let DW do a mediocre job. DreamWorks would never allow a paint over. I also believe it is easier to pull of a Minecraft or DreamWorks area over a K & B Land. If I asked everybody in Parkz to design a Minecraft area, a lot of us would all come back with similar designs. A solid IP design themselves and people will blindly go DW just because it has a Minecraft without even knowing what’s in it. (Minecraft just example of strong IP, don’t shoot me people) Fuck, I told my daughter I’ll take her to the Mario movie and I haven’t seen one trailer. It might not even be age appropriate and I might have to walk out half way through the movie but I don’t care. Anyway, just thoughts, that I say out loud. When I talk about the parks, I do it from a guest perspective because that is what I am. I have no interest in ever working in a park but when I walk through the gates, I know what I want.

    Sorry @DaptoFunlandGuyI was talking more about the doing the area right, with or without an IP. As I said early, Ocean Parade is now going to have Chinese buildings in it.

    You know moody isn't the opposite of being positive? @Guest 239DW's history after Longhurst is all about, DW losing money - cash injection - flipped. Unless somebody comes up with a real plan for DW, instead of thinking adding a couple of rides will fix DW each time, the will cycle will continue.

    This whole discussion started because people were being overly positive (in my eyes) on DW's future. I gave a list of negative things on why it's not all rainbows and lollypops which makes me unsure of DW's future. People, as they do around here, picked out one or two items, which took the discussion to somewhere else. To answer your question, yes it makes sense DW went cheap on the re-theme and didn't pick up a new IP, if DW are still looking to sell. Which backs up my thoughts from the original post, that I am unsure of DW's future.

    Who cares, it's a rebute to the gotcha question. Loads of games which kids can't get enough of DW could use. Fortnite, Animal Crossing, Pokémon all examples.

    Check Now turn your hearing aids up so you can hear me. /s I don't care Dreamworks is gone. I only care if what DW are replacing Dreamworks with is for the better. I'm saying, Kenny & Belinda Dreamland is a backward step on what Dreamworks did for DW. DW went from Nickelodeon to Dreamworks with a complete re-theme. DW go from Dreamworks to Kenny/Ocean with a repaint. See the difference. (yes, I am aware there is a couple of new cheap rides on the way) Serpent Slayer is all the evidence I need. but there is one more just to prove a point. How much China building architecture do you see on a Gold Coast beach? Apparently at DW, it's now the norm. Case closed.

    DW being cheap is what they are doing now @Park Addict 93 I have no care speculating why Dreamworks has left, I only care what they replace it with.

    Nobody said DW had to keep Dreamworks but not securing another IP and going the cheap and nasty route won't do it. (Every day, DW is looking more & more like an amusement park) Have you ever seen a kid at DW dress up as a koala?😂 DW have stepped up in pushing Kenny & Belinda into the limelight, but koalas are for old people. (It's probably why you like them so much. /s)

    The current board of directors have been there for 6 years, and I think they are up to plan F.

    Not having replacement rides in the pipeline doesn't. Shows DW unwilling to spend the money for a quality branding instead goes generic. Sorry, I should have said going. What dark ride? DW got lucky with getting ST. Had nothing to do with great management and planning. I'll wait and see what DW build before I get too excited. At this point, I don't think they came for the rides.
