  1. Sorry to double post but the entry to the new tag laser attraction is going to be between the vortex and the arcade with the ramp next to the vortex removed. This new attraction is not next to Thunderbolt Station as I said before; anyway picture shows what I am talking about.
  2. Just had word that Dreamworld is putting in a new laser attraction where the remains of the Thunderbolt station is located, next to the Vortex. I suspect this will be another upcharge attraction to go in ocean parade that Dreamworld will open at night alongside the v8 and flow rider attractions.
  3. Don't bother about going to white water world this summer and for us pass holders it is even worst. I just drove all the way to WWW with my family and got told we were not aloud to enter because it was full. This is very typical for Dreamworld you shell or this money to them and you get nothing in return. At least down the road at WnW they extend there trading hours to 9.00pm to give the guest some value.
  4. WARNER Village Theme Parks has sacked 45 staff less than three weeks before Christmas and the busiest holiday time of the year for the attractions. A company spokeswoman said about 1.8 per cent of the 2500-strong work force was made redundant yesterday. And companies wonder why staff are not loyal to them when they show no hart towards there staff. Humbuck to them I say.
  5. Even funnier did you see the response that Dreamworld gave you. These cars look like they have Mitsubishi tale lights. I also was under the impression the cars would at least look like a v8 supercar.
  6. OMG have you guys and girls seen what Dreamworld is trying to pass off as V8 supercars. With out a lie I fell out of my chair when I saw them. This is going on my WHAT THE wall. Had to put it in x2 because it was so funny.
  7. WARREN Luff has sat behind the wheel racing V8 Supercars for Dick Johnson Racing but it is a far cry from his latest venture burning rubber as part of Warner Bros. Movie World's latest Gold Coast attraction, Hollywood Stunt Driver. Luff and the other nine drivers in the new $10 million show, described as the most ambitious live action show to hit the country, gave a sneak preview today on the new purpose-built arena - in its final stages of completion. Hollywood Stunt Driver replaces the Police Academy Stunt Show, which closed earlier this year after 18,000 performances over 16 years. The new show, celebrating the stunt men and women who risk it all for the cameras and the magic of making movies, opens on Boxing Day. Luff, who has raced the famed Bathurst 1000 circuit seven times including an 11th placing in October, was excited about his chance to star in the Hollywood Stunt Show. ``It's an interesting change but one where it's nice to discover new facets of driving and I'm really grateful to be part of such an exciting show,'' he said About 250 drivers auditioned to be part of the show, with drive coordinator Gavin Coleman promising plenty of thrills from the 10 drivers who make up the Hollywood stunt team. And there will be some familiar faces driving around the arena, most notably former champion ironman Guy Andrews who has swapped his surf lifesaving cap for the helmet.
  8. I had to talk about something. I have given up on Dreamworld and sick of wasting my time bagging out Dreamworld so I just didn’t renew my passes.
  9. Don't know where you get your figures from but plumbers get good money.
  10. Who really cares these are a couple of good pictures.
  11. lol yes it is exactly the same , right down to the 1,321,851,888 people that live in a dream world.
  12. So funny now, you leave a post on the v8 blog and you get this message. Your comment is awaiting moderation. I thought this was a free country. This reminds me of China deciding what information was coming out about during the Olympics. I invite Dreamworld to come here in this type of format to answer our questions and then we would stick to the guidelines of the v8 attraction blog, like the rule below. “Lastly, while not specifically a rule, we should mention here that if you have general questions/comments about Dreamworld, its policies, pricing, services, strategies, etc then they will not be addressed here. Remember rule no.1! It’s all about the V8 Supercars attraction”
  13. This is going to be Stephen Gregg legacy, the final present that he gives to us from Dreamworld. I believe this blog is a waste of time and I don’t think Dreamworld will take us seriously or even respond to our concerns. The simply reason for this blog is for Dreamworld to advise us on how first-class they are. I would like to know what Dreamworld thinks a thrill ride is. Dreamworlds web site advises us that the big 6 six thrill rides are the BIGGEST. TALLEST AND FASTEST I guess Dreamworld forgot to tell the motocoaster this when it what included in the directory of thrill rides. Management of Dreamworld are turning the park into a shameful Easter show. Have you seen anything more shoddy then popping balloons with darts in a theme park? This up charge item does verbalize it all. It would have cost Dreamworld all off $100.00 to construct. Last year prior to I renewed my family’s annual passes, I was a bit concerned about the direction that Dreamworld was heading, so I contacted you and asked about the mine cart ride and about a few other attractions. I was promised by your staff that the mine cart would be returning and the other problems where getting resolved, so stupid me I went and spent $700.00 on new passes and a week later the mine cart was taken of the map and boarded up. It will be no surprise to me if you scrub out my post and it will also not be a bombshell if you shut down the blog site when you realise the amount of criticism Dreamworld is about to get regarding this attraction. I had not visited Movieworld for many years but I decided to go to Movieworld on the Halloween night and I took the family. The next weekend I did take my family back to Movieworld and purchased annual passes for everyone. I could not believe how much Movieworld had advanced in the five years since I had been there. I know Movieworld has there stupid up charge games as well but at least they are made well and don’t look like an eye saw. People don’t have a great interest in driving pretend cars when they can go to Queensland raceway and do the real thing. Most of your guests have there own game systems these days that already let us race v8 cars so I don’t see adding a vibrating seat of any great benefit. To cut to chase I voted with my wallet this year and did not renew my passes.
  14. I think your right here. If I would have thought about it before going red in the face, I think I would have come to the same conclusion.
  15. Looks like dreamworld is just chasing a quick buck and is trying to catch up with the other parks with something new for xmas. I just say they better not call it the 7th thrill ride. My bet for this new attraction is they are revamping the v8 simulators with a new coat of paint. Let’s see what is new for xmas 08. Movieworld New stunt Driver YEA BABY WetNWild New Slide YEA BABY Sea World Jet Rescue YEA BABY Dreamworld Repaint V8 Simulators WHAT THE
  16. Are you going to tell us which one you where? I couldn’t pick it.
  17. I was not changing the subject to the shopping centre but just making a comparison to how long a process can take for these types of approvals. For the people who want to know about the shopping centre it is planed to go on Dreamworld land the other side of Coomera train station. The building application attached show what was submitted.
  18. Quick update so people know why no construction has started up as of yet. Dreamworld and the G.C.C.C are just haggling of the price that Dreamworld will need to pay for a new sewer connection which should be sorted out shortly. At this point in time we would be looking at a 2009 opening for stage 3. Just to show you how long the council can slow down the process for approvals, Dreamworld’s application for a shopping complex which was refused back in 2005 will final be sorted out by the courts in November 2008.
  19. Just having a couple of ideas here. Why have they wrapped this section of track up after they have just installed it? What are they protecting it from? http://themeparkphotography.com/gallery/di...&fullsize=1 I think it would be easier to cover one section of track with soil then to remove the piece that has been covered up with soil. To my understanding you would have to remove other pieces as well to remove the one piece in question. Just a side note, the more I see this new attraction unfold the more keyed up I am becoming. It looks like it will be a lot of fun and I am counting down till it opens. Just another side note, sorry, Gazza I think you should get more photos this weekend because I do enjoy your thought of what you think is happing and you can never have enough photos of the construction of a new attraction.
  20. I think you need to look at the wage comparison and not just the exchange rate to work out which park it cheaper. My parents live in Portland and my wages is more then theirs put together. I just had a quick look and the average wage of the USA is $39,273. If you calculate against each other you will find it cost Australia = 20% of wage where USA = 25% of wage.
  21. Can I get someone to uncover what you are trying to say. So yeah.
