I don't think we will ever see that policy implemented at Wet 'n' Wild for obvious reasons. Such as the BBQ's being installed, and it's a different sort of park to your traditional theme park. But also remember on Dreamworld's term's and conditions of entry, that "Food, beverages and eskies are not permitted into Dreamworld. No alcohol or animals to be brought in the park." Yet how many times do you see people bringing them in?
-
It is also more than a 10 minute walk to coomera train station from Dreamworld, around 25 minutes actually. I will see how things go closer to the date and will let you know
-
Why yes it is Knowing my luck it will pour down rain just like every other Screamworld I've been to.
-
I would go, but I have no way of getting home after Screamworld as there are no buses to Coomera Station afterwards. Or a way of getting from my train station home that late at night.

I rode it just after it's first maintenance period... and it was still painful as hell. I wonder what they are doing to the ride that requires such downtime. It's not in need of a paint job like Corkscrew was, so it shouldn't take so long unless there is something really wrong with it.
-
It's interesting to note that Lethal Weapon is down now until the beginning of JULY when it was down from early MAY. I wonder why it's having extended maintenance once again this year, hopefully they are doing some upgrades to make the ride smoother.
-
Cyclone has had that rule in place for quite some time as far as I'm aware. I don't really think that the ride would actually Valley with less than 6 riders, as it does go through the loops rather fast still.
-
It was probably just the metal ring around the bar where it slides into the bike. It's been loose for a while but nothing to worry about. But the more I go on the ride, the more I realize how much of a poor move it was to install it.

I am just waiting for the day it valley's.... Anyways last week when I went, I reserved it on Q4U and was standing at the gate to get on (on the platform, not before they let you in) The operator pushed the dispatch button from unload, and the train didn't move. Took around 25 minutes to get the ride going again. The people waiting on the loading platform and riders were all given a free drink voucher, also this was with only one train. I think the Intamin's of 2007 are BOTH lemon's... SurfRider and Motocoaster...

I remember a few years back Bermuda Triangle's screen where the Volcano "cracks the shield" broke and said replace lamp. I told the operator and I went on it later in the afternoon and the words were covered in cardboard. The screen still worked, but was very dim. The next day the lamp was replaced which was good to see... I'm sure that people remember Dreamworld's darker period? Maybe this is the start of WVTP's Darker Period, whilst the competition only seems to be improving.

^ Well... there goes Australia's best themed ride down the gurgler... I hope WVTP know what they are doing and get there butts into gear before it's too late...

AVPX still seems to be running strong since opening, the only thing I could fault it on was the fact of only using 1 briefing room. I would not say my visit has improved since Easter, but it certainly has not dropped. Overall I feel that Dreamworld is in a fairly good position right now, but I wish I could say the same for WVTP. The last several times I have been there I was very disappointed in general. Also, the teams are split up and determined by which wall you stand against. The ones to the left of the room are normally the "infected" alien's and the ones on the right are the Humans. The Infected Aliens enter the arena first followed by the humans around 5 seconds later. The Infected team is able to make it to the upstairs area's before the Human's do if they run fast enough though. But the host was EVIL to me. I had around 5000 points and I accidentally shot him... so he shot me and I lost ALL my points! Bloody Douchebag...
-
I was also there today, was very impressed with the park in general. AVPX however was a bit of a wait with only 1 arena running, but it was still very good. Hopefully it will be using 2 rooms again soon as 50 minutes for one game of Laser Tag is a bit too much of a wait

If WVTP keep this trend up... Catastrophe is Imminent...
-
Wow, no offense but it seems like WVTP are getting worse by the day. That ride had some of the best theming around. I really do find it sad that the ride is being run the way you say Joz. And by 1 operator, do you mean 1 operator doing the Loading, Unloading AND Pre-Show? If so that is just screaming for capacity problems.

I just got coke on my keyboard after realising what that council's name is. It sure must "hurt" to be called that.
-
Also good luck fitting Rainbow in that spot, that ride is almost Identical to a HUSS Ranger. In regards to the Kamikaze type ride it was the Shockwave a few years back. Very compact ride.
-
Every time i've rode scooby doo that effect has worked. I can't wait to ride it in the coming weeks to see how it's going.
-
Was the music loud or still muffled? All I can say is WELL done to Movie World, I am glad that they got off there butts and did something about it.
-
Why on earth would we even want a Chance Chaos in the park? If I had to choose I would much rather have a Zipper. They provide basically the same sensation but are alot better rides. A Chaos IMO is a boring, inferior ride and would be a waste of valuable space.
-
Sorry, I have a strong dislike for Zamperla rides. They are a pain in the backside as far as Maintenance goes from what I have been told. I also find almost all of there rides uncomfortable and for that space I would rather see something like an Intamin Half-Pipe. As long as it's not a lemon like SurfRider was.
-
It seems that Sea World have removed the ride off the site and attractions maintenance page finally. I wonder if anything will replace it or not. Hopefully something that looks good will replace it and not something tacky.
-
Well... Pirate WAS a HUSS And I say DON'T bring on the Zamperla's *Shudders*
-
Hmmm... It only had maintenance around 2 months ago from what I recall. I am happy to be proven wrong though as I am not 100% Certain. It's just that most rides only go down once a year on average. Unless you are SurfRider or Corkscrew.
-
A ride normally closes for around 10 days, and normally only ONCE per year.
