Well, your first photo had the Bermuda Triangle, and Skyway in it, showing how old it was. This photo at least doesn't have those two... unfortunately you went the wrong direction through your calendar. *pours acid on eyes* Jordan - in the interests of feedback to improve your 'newly launched website' - the single photo in that article looks like you smeared vaseline on the lens, and putting the 7 news quote in red is really putrid to read. If I were a betting man, I'd give more credit to Parkz - a site that is frequently cited by media articles as sources, and Richard himself, who is frequently contacted for interviews and to make statements about our theme parks, than (as you yourself put it) a 'newly launched website'. Even though you said 'possibly' - I still think you gave yourself too much credit. Indisputable is that the topic had been discussed on the Parkz forum for weeks prior to ANY article being published, so Parkz still lands the 'you heard it here first' banner. Finally - that's probably got to be the most shameless plug ever.

^Not that hard to put up a facade more fitting with whatever new theme is applied to the area, than to leave a mountain and a hulk of a derelict ride standing for the sake of theme.

Yeah @Intimidator305 he did actually say 'doesn't include track length obtained from vertical change nor any other elements. ' For what it is, i think it gives us a good indication that the length of the coaster is going to be up there. We know theres a nice curve section right in the middle of that land space. I'm also inclined to think that the return path will be much closer to the creek than shown here too.

Pretty sure it was transplanted to that spot - obviously not enough support while bedding it resulting in the permanent lean.

One minor point - the fountain isn't part of the 'ride' - its for the health of the lagoon itself - agitates the surface, aerates the water, and discourages algal bloom from covering the whole surface.

Given in the days after the accident the media made a big point of mentioning that a two year old child can ride it, it would suggest that there isn't a height limit for them to put on the sign.

Come on @themagician, you've been around long enough for that question to have been asked several times. I cannot believe you just asked that again - especially since you've seen the aerial imagery of the park that shows quite clearly that there could not be any linkage between the two bodies of water. Aaaaaaaanyways... You might as well include the Murrissippi and associated island and infrastructure in that plan too - and then you're pretty close to half the park. Don't forget your circle includes the train sheds though - can't be doing away with them!

What leapt out at me was 'Australia's first theme park ride' which I find a little hard to believe.

I would very much like to see both DW and SW take immediate steps with a reputable flume manufacturer to install a replacement. Every dry park needs some sort of water attraction - especially on the gold coast!

@joz did you forget, or intentionally exclude battle boats? 4 transport rides? Chairlift, Monorail, Train, ...?

I think @T-bone would be best to answer that. A quick look at nearmap compared to the images above - it doesn't appear to have a switch (or in fact a turning circle large enough) to permit it, but i'd say since they've cut the other elements out of the map, it looks easier to condense the 'big circle' into a small corner. it's not accurate, but i daresay the park map isn't to scale anyway...

I know, and I know you can't make it on saturday so Sunday being part of the weekend makes you feel a bit better that you could be there, so i won't rain on that... but in my opinion, day 1 would be the only one that counted. doesn't mean it has to be that way for you of course.
