The best theme park food ever was at Australia's Wonderland. Their immitation Maccas was sensational. God I miss those Cheeseburgers.

The Zipper is one of my favourite rides. The thing i like about it is that everytime you ride it its a different experience. The most savage ride I ever had on one (not sure whos it was) was at the Easter Show last year. My GF and I went on it 3 times. The first 2 times were quite tame but the last time the cage never stopped spinning. Plus some intense G forces getting flung over the top. I needed a couple of Panadol after that one. Awesome!

What would you do if 'you' owned or managed DW?

^^ hmm.. The most disturbing piece from that article : Not good. -
The early 90s movie 'Encino Man' features SFMM. Pauly Shore and Brendan Fraser ride 'Viper'. 'Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure' has a water park scene. I looked it up and it was actually filmed at two different water parks - 'Golfland - Sunsplash' in Mesa, Arizona and 'Raging Waters' in San Dimus, California.

You're right about the rain on the Coast. I work in the construction industry, mainly working around Coomera and I can't remember as much rain as weve had in the last year. I have had so many days off work due to rain its getting beyond a joke. Work sites have been constantly muddy for at least 6 months. I havent washed my car or bike in months because whats the point. I know its just going to rain the next day and be dirty again. To make matters worse when Im sitting at home (due to work being rained out) I have to listen to the clowns on the news claiming were in the worst drought in history and we will soon be moving to level six water restrictions!!

Has to be up there with the most bizarre coasters of all time. The designers were definately on some mind altering substances when they came up with that gem. Cant believe it only has lap bars! Looks fun though check the POV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K472_HAzR6Q

I voted for Lethal. Its the only coaster in Australia that I find actually thrilling. I also appreciate its savage qualities and the fact that after youve ridden it you feel like youve gone 10 rounds with Tyson. Scooby would be a close second for its quality theming. These are probably the only two Australian coasters that you could put in a U.S park that wouldn't get laughed at.

I cant believe you actually take Wikipedia seriously

Thanks for the info! Its got to be the same guy if you describe him as 'dodgy'. He used to have a massive shop at Mermaid. When you walked in he always had a screwdriver in hand with console carcasses and internals strewn across the counter. He always had the cheapest games and always gave you top dollar for your trade ins, sometimes 3 or 4 times more than EB. I guess thats why he no longer has the shop lol

Does anyone know where I can get my wii chipped on the Gold Coast? I used to get my PS and Xbox tweaked at GCM at Mermaid Beach but I drove past the other day and they were gone! Any help would be much appreciated as I am keen to play my genuine, authorised, legitimately purchased 'back up' copies .

Well what is Australian then? What is unique to Australia that can be themed into a ride? Im sure they are not trying to pass off motorcycle racing as being invented in this country. Of course its not unique to this country. Surfing is seen as Australian culture but guess what... ? It was invented by the Hawaiians. -

Yes Mick Doohan is up there with Sir Don Bradman. Like Sir Don, Mick was the best of the best and as I mentioned earlier is regarded around the world as one of the greatest of all time. He still holds world records to this day - some that will probably never be broken. He is considered royalty in the motorsport world. People like Michael Schumacher idolise him. Please name Australian sportspeople who can say they have achieved such greatness - Thorpey?... And while you're at it explain to me what you think is Australian and what type of Australian theming you would like to see particularly on this ride that would be better than what they have come up with. I think the current theme is fantastic but I'm interested to see what other people can come up with or what they would like to see instead? -

Mick Doohan is not Australian? Last time I checked he is up there with Sir Donald Bradman in terms of Australian sporting icons. 1. He was 5 times World Champion (would have been more had he not destroyed his body) 2. He is Australian. Thats good enough for me! This ride is as Aussie as meat pies! If you want to be picky and want everything Australian then get rid of all the rides and leave gum trees and Kangaroos because drop rides and coasters aren't Australian at all. -

Actually your idea for a Melbourne Cup ride doesn't sound too bad. The Ford vs Holden battle. Is that not a part of Australian culture? All Im saying is maybe you dont find motorsport that interesting but theres a hell of a lot of people in this country that do. -

You have got to be joking. Motorsport not a major part of Australian life?? Please... Motorsport is huge in Australia. We host international motorsport events every year which are the most attended sporting events in Australia. The Melbourne Grand Prix, Gold Coast Indy, MOTO GP @ Philip Island. These events attract hundreds of thousands of spectators. Bathurst attracts huge numbers and has a huge TV audience- the track itself is legendary worldwide. We also have the worlds premier Touring car championship (V8 Supercars). Not to mention the legends of motorsport this country has produced - Peter Brock, Alan Jones, Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan...World Champs everywhere. Casey Stoner is currently dominating the MOTO GP and will soon be added to the list. These guys are household names not just here but around the world. Mick Doohan is recognised as one of the greatest motorcycle racers of all time!!
