  1. Sorry to spoil the peace for everyone but I'm back!!! Saw that the Annual Passes are currently $99.99 on the myfun website so had to get MW passes. Anyways back on topic... Heading to the park tomorrow for the first time in over a year. While you all know I'm not really a coaster enthusiast, I am really looking forward to seeing the improvements this ride has undergone as well as the new theming. Based on what I have been reading here over that time should be rather interesting.
  2. Am I invisible or something... I posted the identical layout in a previous post /sigh
  3. Also not a good idea to show exactly how good you are at the job you are being interviewed for. Show that there is a bit of room for improvement. Personal example: Went for a ride presenter position with Movie World many years back. Had to present the Looney Tunes River speech for the first room. Got into it and sort of carried on with the complete pre ride presentation. Was queried by the interviewer if the paperwork I got had the whole speech on it to which I replied I didn't get a copy of it at the group interview. She then enquired about which other attractions I knew the presentation for. So I started the Great Gremlin Adventure presentation (keep in mind this was a few years after Scooby had opened), the interviewer then asked about the Movie Magic Sound Stage to which I started the "Behind the Scenes" explaining stage 1 to the two "volunteers". I got a call a week later informing that I was not chosen as I was, and I quote, "overqualified" for the position. A couple of months later I went for another interview for the same position description. This time I purposely made some mistakes during the audition and said nothing about my knowledge of the presentations. I was offered the position then and there.
  4. Both start with dual conveyor belts but then transfered over to a chain lift In the video skip to: First lift 0:32 Second lift 6:00
  5. Not to scale and my inner artist is on holidays, but this is the basic layout. http://www.facebook....&type=3
  6. I agree with you rac that they usually would open it for holidays for the better up front return on their investment, but saying Spring gives them a 3 month window in case something goes wrong or if they simply are not sure exactly how long it is going to take. Just because they have done something in the past doesn't mean that they will continue to do it in the future.
  7. I was thinking the same thing joz. So much for it being about the new 2012 rides. Half of the information from the other thread that directly refers to this wasn't split off into this thread either.
  8. Being that spring is September, October and November, so long as it is done and open by November 30 they still meet the "coming SPRING 2012" statement deadline. That gives them between 6 and 9 months.
  9. http://tinyurl.com/6re7uy7 Looks like Superman, Batman and Wonderwoman to me. My post from many months ago is looking more and more like a possibility... "The wife and I were talking and with the Justice League Movie in the works, why would they not rip out the batcave and make the JLHQ and we have to help them save the world from some catastrophe by getting into special pods? This would completely revamp the BMTR2 area both inside and out, give a new attraction using the current setup with some modifications? Especially since we have a Batman, Superman and now Green Lantern ride and the new DC Universe store all in that area? Either way my money is on another superhero theme." - September 28, 2011
  10. I saw this last week. I thought it was well done and outside of the invisible supports and tracks and so on... Would be a great idea
  11. Oh I wouldn't go anywhere to ride it, given the age and reports of it being rough these days.
  12. I go with the wife nowadays but pre marriage / dating preferred to go on my own instead of with friends. Mainly given they were more interested in the thrill rides and I was into shows / entertainment / flat rides. Now being married the wife and I prefer to go just the two of us instead of with a group for the same reasons.
  13. True but the g's at the top as the back is pulled over the top are negative not positive like the bottom sections before and after the top hat
  14. "This Easter, get ready for the ride of your life as Warner Bros. Movie World launches a new coaster experience straight from your darkest nightmares. This insane new experience will replace the Lethal Weapon Coaster and is sure to be a scream. Keep an eye on the Movie World FaceBook page to be the first to know what’s coming to get you....." from the myfun newsletter. A friend of mine just pointed out the latest email newsletter from myfun has the new coaster experience as moderate yet Lethal Weapon is listed as extreme on their website. Really interesting to see what changes they are making to bring the level down so much.
  15. Every blackout I have is during positive G's not negative.
  16. Blacking out is lack of blood to the head... How does sitting closer to the front on Superman work when it is the fastest section through the first vetical climb?
  17. Tried it, doesn;t work. No matter what I do I will black out, thanks for the high blood pressure dad.
  18. Im voting for mba2012. I loved it when the show stage was open air and would be great to bring that back again. This would also reopen the possibilities for animals incorporated into the shows. All had awesome ideas, would love to see a combination of a few of the elements.
  19. Damn I miss this experience. Sure Scooby is a great coaster but shame the two couldn't co-exist.
  20. Yeah I raced only to get the credits to buy cars to do up to auction off to get more credits to buy more cars and so on. I have both of the above designs on the Forza Storefront for sale. Quite amazing that people are paying 30,000 credits for the Highway Patrol design. Especially considering if you place first in a race you normally get only 5 - 6,000 credits.
