  1. K i am sorry, that you forgot to post IMO, but the problem is Screamscape.com, obviously took your news to seriously and the same way i did and posted that the Zodiac was removed, The link where is it........ oh here it is http://www.screamscape.com/html/wonderland_sydney.html I have not had a bad day all i am doing is saying that these forums are read by alot of sites and theme parks, and just be careful what you post, that's all mate, Daniel Pookie is not me, it's a friend that signed up because they thought it was fun. They think that our convos are interesting in these forums. lol
  2. Obviously a very sad person, just posted that, lol sorry Pookie. Yer, why would they relocate it totally agree with Danny boy
  3. Well Nightshifter sorry to burst your bubble AGAIN but the Zodiac was sitting hapily in it's place at 4pm this afternoon, no carriges of course but the arms and big long, arm. Nightshifter one word of advice, please chack your sources before you post info, as it often gives people not in Sydney a bad perception on Wonderland. And good to see, your spellings improved, been listening in class now have we? Except this paragraph it should be heard, just helping out.
  4. Guys this forum was getting intresting, Richard/Daniel has the cat got your tonuges or something?
  5. Ending because Tony had thought he had done enough, didn't extend his contract and wants to move on. I knew this around 3 months ago, but didn't want to post, as i was in contact with Tony himself and didn't want to let out info that he wouldn't want let out.
  6. Yer almost fogot Liam, The guy is a nice guy, had a 25 min chat to him yesterday after everyone else went, and the Dreamworld rumor is not true. Congratualtions aswell to Casey-Laura, great fill in, and now Liam that you mention that Juleen is pregnent well, good luck to her and the baby hope all goes well.
  7. From the humble begginings 4 years ago till the present date, Millenium Magic now known as Spellbinding Sorcery has entertained and amazed guests at Wonderland Sydney. But January 2004 will be the end of an era for Tony Laffan. The magician who brought magic through the gates of Wonderland. Congratualations to Tony and Juleen on a great 4 years at the park and hope that he will continue his sucess in years to come. What are your greatest memories of the Magic Show at Wonderland's Galaxy Theartre, have you been up on the stage and weaved magic yourself or perhaps met the man himself. Whatever it is, the Magic Show was a must at Wonderland. I will be at the last show, and will be ashame to see the best show to ever come into Wonderland leave. ----Goodbye Tony------
  8. Ok guys heres my view Well i rekon that it is dangerous as much as i wood like to take cameras on rides But if you get permission of the ride op (make sure who it is first) well its ok. Though sneaking the cameras on is wrong, no matter how secure it is.
  9. I spoke to Guest Relations on today's visit to the park, and the lion cubs may be growing up at the park. Wonderland are currently negotiating to keep them, which would be great, we might see sort of a tiger island/ polar bea shores thing happening in the near future, who knows,
  10. Well, i can't see them fitting past Banjo's BBQ at all, unless the floats stop there. It's just to smaller space and theres that big garden bed thing in the way, but as Daniel said, they will take something out if it interferes with anything they have planned.
  11. Well Daniel is you look about the Baby Tigers on the website it says that they will be in a purpose built enclosure oppisite Banjos Bakery. They will go there and Taz will take a while to come back imo.
  12. Sounds great, go Wonderland! Also goto the website and you'll see the following: Wonderland Turns 18 The New Lion Cubs FMX Motocross Marvel Parade They are getting the place back together great to see!
  13. So Richard what is it, a huss delerium for us or not?
  14. I just love, the variety of rides, the enthusiastic and friendly staff and the closeness of the place to my home (5 minute drive)
  15. Well, everyone in this forum may know that i am a big wonderland sydney fan. I hope the park is reading this aswell I find it very hard now in the last month or so to find something to like about the park. All the rides close, patch up jobs for maintence everything. Now if im a massive wonderland fan and find it hard to like the place, imagine how the general public is finding it! It's no wonder WONDERLAND THAT the public arnt coming to the place. Why spend all that money, heck Jamberoo rec park is building again this xmas, last year it was surf hill now it's billabong beach. What have u built in the last 9 years??? Nothing!! Jad a few temporary shows, wow! is that worth $50 The park never replies to emails you send them, so what the hell are they doing. Looks like an email will be heading their way and if i dont get a reply, well lets just say management will recieve a letter. Anyone who has something to ad to the letter post in here! Damn im so angry
  16. Guys, calm down Nightshifter is this some more false information that you have recieved? Firstly the ride thing, We have discussed a thousand times on these forums and Wonderland tell their staff nothing, zip, zilch and i speak to staff on the internet and ex staff (yes you know who you are) and they said when they worked there, or while they are working there, they are not told a thing. My mums friend worked there and was working around the time of Space Probe, staff werne't told until construction started on the ride. The email and phone call you made was to Frontdesk@----URL removed for non-compliance with Community Guidelines---- and to the Guest Relations was the phone call. They wouldn't go off telling what the parks future is, as i hear Wonderland are trying to break reocrds to make their next ride project more worth it. Do you think they will tell any old person what they are building and when? Heck it could be Dreamworld emailing them and calling them, then dreamworld would know what the competition is building. The Tony Laffan thing, The show has just had a major makeover. New video, i saw him one night in Penrith Plaza having a photoshoot for the new posters, and the whole show has been changed, i dont't think that Tony is going anywhere anytime soon. The live in the Sydney area, and from what i hear like where they live. May i ask Nightshifter where did you get this information from? That's my say, any questions and i'll be glad to answer them, just remember one thing, the staff are told nothing therefore can tell you nothing about the parks future because they dont know anything to tell you. Nuff said@!
  17. That would be a good idea there Shaun. I'm glad you agree with me, i tell ya if i was on management there with some other people from these forums i would make a gem out of that place. I often wish that i was on mangement but it looks like the management there atm are stayin.
  18. Ok well now we say all this i do believe that they have let the quality of the space probe drop alot. The Space Probe when it openend would have been one awesome ride. When you go up in the carrige just upon reaching the roof you can hear a sound that sounds like foggers going off, but as a drama student at my school we have foggers and i know you need liquid to make them work. This is why they are not in working order. The thing i cant see is why wouldn't wonderland employ say 5 staff and get them to clean the whole thing up and reopen the ride to it's original state. Really how long are we talking to do this? 3 days? Then at the moment there is usually 2 staff operating but why not employ just the extra one that will make the ride more of an experience and the guests would be able to go wow at! The park really does have an understaffing problem. I hear people all the time (guests) saying, oh that's terrible having one person operaiting that. What wonderland mangement has to understand but they obviously dont, is that they need to put in to keep the people coming in. At the moment all they seem to do in my point of view is hire the minimal staff requirements, and just open the park as it is everyday day after day. They seem to put in no extra effort towards making the park a great day out for people. tHE $50 admission price for adults is totally ridiculous. $35 for children is even more stupid. All these people who go there probably arn't going to go back until something new goes in. Wonderland may think that Sydney has over 1 million people in 1 hours reach of wonderland but if they keep just doing the bare minimum to keep it open the people are going to slowly but surely dry up, then the park is left in a bad situation with no money and no guests. Hopefully the park is going to pull something big off next year because i can't imagine another year of the park going like it is now. [Jaggs]
  19. Yes it's true that the theming isnt up to scratch at the moment but we are talking about what the ride was designed to do. If you would like to refer to space probe as a half giant drop well then say that but i could say that the giant drop is half finished because the complete package isnt there. Space Probe video still works, the water fall is still there and working, the tv's work most of the time up the top, the tunnel is still filled with flashing lights and special effects i hardly call that in a bad state. What doesnt work that was there in the first place: the roof doesnt open. That's all, i have spoken to wonderland and people there told me that in the period leading up to xmas there may be a whole clean up of space probe. What does the Giant drop offer more than the space probe you ask. - Extra height What does the space probe offer more than giant drop - Video - Hood on top - Theming -story behind the ride Im sure anyone can see that these things outweigh the one advatage that the giant drop has over the space probe. The last thing im going to say at the moment is that Space Probe was the first of it's kind in the world. Dreamworld had many years to perfect what wonderland had done so that is an unfair advantage.
  20. But that's what theme parks are for 'theming', if you ride space probe you will remember all the theming and ride build up where as giant drop all you'll remember is the drop. After you day at the theme park when you go home are you really going to remember how high the drop was, or are you going to remember the whole ride including theming as a big package. Wonderland has everything over Dreamworld in the experience/memories factor. I remember times when i goto the park and dont ride space Probe and see the tony laffan magic show, i go home feeling empty because i haven't taken an experience away from the park. The people on these forums are regulars to their repective parks Wonderland and Dreamworld, are they really ride after ride going to care how tall it is? No! They're trips will get awfully boring riding the same tower up and down and then leaving. Whereas Space Probe offers the before ride entertainment which will provide and experience therefore the park regulars will not get bored as fast.
  21. Damn everyone is teasing wonderland theming. The only thing that the giant drop offers more is the height, now whats the big deal with extra height isn't it all the same all the way down? Once you drop for 2 seconds it's all the same right? I cant see the point of it being higher excpet to get a place in the guiness world records. Long live Space Probe!
  22. Well they musta filled in that waterfall up the back to put space probe in?
  23. The waterfall was not there from day one it was built as part of the ride theming.
  24. Space Probe hands down, who needs height when you get a better experience on Space Probe, GO SPACE PROBE
  25. on the way to westfield parramatta today i noticed that the beach is completely finsihed and there is no way they will put new slides in now. Everythng is cleaned up all scafolding gone and all site offices out of the area. Looks like the beach will stay as it is people!
