  1. Eh? I was simply stating that I found that particular aspect of that particular visit unsatisfactory. I love Dreamworld, but would you be impressed if you went to a theatre, bought a ticket, and sat down to hear the audio but see nothing on the stage? I know Dreamworld management do check this forum regularly. I guess I'm hoping someone will see my comment and do something to ensure the situation doesn't happen again (which isn't hard). ............................and...............relaaaaaax!!!
  2. Well dare I saw it, I appreciate the support for once guys. Very refreshing!
  3. I think you'll find I'm not one of the people on this forum who seem to hate Dreamworld. I merely pointed out what I believe is an obvious, and silly mistake. I'm soooooooooooooooooooooo sorry if my opinion personally upset you!
  4. At first I'd feel repulsion, then disgust. After a while I'd feel bewilderment, then blandness, and finally confusion.
  5. It's definitely not new, but even if it were it would be extremely unprofessional to test it by ruining the show, especially during school holidays! Speakers can be tested after hours, and by playing any random sounds. But yes, there are indeed bigger problems.
  6. This is the "Tractor Train" which ran once a day only, at Greenhills Adventure Park in SA. Greenhills was the closest thing SA had to a theme park, and it's now closed down. By comparison, I'm grateful for the wonderful things we have here!
  7. I did. Possibly the Bronx is totally different now. I don't know. Never been! WnW is the same though.
  8. The train is stationery at the front station, with the audio from the robbery playing (and the train full of passengers). I don't know if staff have the ability to stop this, but there's two of them here. Show spoilt for numerous families on school holidays. I did record this but can't upload due to file size. The audio was played from the full show.
  9. But they don't really. Wet & Wild has lots of great slides, of different types. It has a wave pool, spas. The main buildings were given a decent facelift a few years ago. The only things I'd like to see are a master-blaster type slide maybe (but only maybe as there's already one at Whitewater World), and one or two decent quality restaurants. More importantly though, the changing rooms could really do with a major refurbishment, as they're disgusting!
  10. As far as I'm concerned, Monster Energy Drink is basically engine coolant. Not the same thing as wheels, but it is broadly the same industry! 😉
  11. The fright nights maze in the dodgems area was largely assembled in the last 24 hours.
  12. You misunderstood my message. The new owner was, in all likelihood, legally required to change the name of the park, whether they wanted to or not. They could not choose to keep the name!
  13. I saw the evening parade tonight. First (and best) part was the Batman 80th anniversary celebration. As each successive Batmobile made its way up Main Street, a bit of movie footage appeared on the screen showing that Batmobile. A very nice touch, and a good example of how Movie World should be!
  14. If McDonald's sells one of its restaurants to you, you don't get to keep calling it McDonald's! Unless of course you're a franchisee, but that's not applicable here.
  15. We who live in the Gold Coast are incredibly lucky. We have numerous theme parks, including 2 major waterparks, and they're open all year round. It's not until you live somewhere that doesn't have these advantages (pretty much anywhere else in the world) that you fully appreciate how good we have it here! The very last thing I would want is for any other company to take over Wet & Wild gold coast. Thankfully, that's probably very unlikely to happen!
  16. I was there 7pm to 8pm. Carpark was almost empty. No queues. Weather was almost perfect today so I can only assume they haven't done enough marketing of the night event.
  17. Agreed! Although I still find AA pretty immersive, even if not Disney standard. Less than 6 months till Boxing Day!
  18. Well ok, not a movie as such but more like cartoon characters maybe, but it is most definitely immersive! I actually feel like I'm in the Arkham Asylum movie (or cartoon) when I'm on the ride. Hardly!
  19. It's the only ride at Movie World where you can actually feel totally immersed in a movie-like experience. I'd hope they have something to replace that before getting rid of it!
  20. I think there's something in that for all of us, don't you? Here endeth the first (and hopefully the last) lesson.
