Sounds like a good idea to me. So where exactly is this new area going? Will it replace any existing attractions?
-
Thanks, I presumed this would be the case. Can't wait to ride it - a smooth track with smooth brakes. I don't think I've ever experienced magnetic brakes on a roller-coaster either.
-
Thanks Clint, much appreciated. Do you think Superman will have magnetic braking? Most of Intamin's other launched coasters all seem to have it.
-
Good post Flattop. The only bit I don't quite understand is this...
-
Thanks Bussy. Someone who read my question and answered it I presume most, if not all, modern coasters have automated this process?
-
Are the brakes in the station and the pre-station brakes controlled by the same button/system?
-
You can now vote on whether you like the screen

There you go again Alex, avoiding my question. I have already read your post so re-quoting doesn't help me. Can anyone else help me - are the brakes in the station and the pre-station brakes controlled by the same button/system?
-
You haven't answered my question at all. Do these preliminary brakes bring the carriage to complete rest? If so, are the brakes in the station and the pre-station brakes controlled by the same button?
-
So these brakes are there to decrease the train's velocity and are never opened? Are these brakes designed to stop the carriage or slow it down so it can enter the station?
-
So what does "manual" parking involve (i.e. if I was an operator, what do I control)? I think computers are much more efficient at repetitive tasks such as that.
-
What exactly is "manual parking"? At Aussie World, on the Sunshine Coast, a staff member has to wait at the end of the ride and operate a steel lever to decelerate the carriages.

I agree Scott. Have a look at Mack's latest instalment. How good is it? http://www.clickmagique.com/images/Externa...r-Splash001.jpg

If this was the track for a new Dreamworld coaster then we would have heard about it long ago. It sounds to me as though Superman is on his way up to Queensland.
-
The ride has now officially opened as “Atlantica SuperSplash” and looks really good. Pictures of this attraction and it’s awesome themeing can be found on clickmagique.com

I was able to capture the magic of the street and the palms thanks to my awesome photo taking skills I am telling you guys, the screen is permanent. It's an awesome idea.
-
The track type and colours seem to match Superman perfectly... What else could it possibly be for?
-
The mine train has some awesome themeing, but the name doesn't really fit
-
The screen is a permanent fixture located roughly two meters in front of the Daily Planet building that plays various videos throughout the day. These include ride previews, the street parade, live footage from the park, and Hi-5 performances. I think it's a great idea.

IMO means 'International Maritime Organization' but it can also mean 'In my opinion'

I believe the rumor was derived from this post... Thanks Ian for clearing this up.

What's all this talk about underground sections and 50m?

Disney Land Puts in the highest bid for wonderland
Adam replied to pantherfan030's topic in Theme Park Discussion
If I read the post correctly and if Disney decide to buy the new land, they wouldn't want Bush Beast... -
What do YOU want in replacement of the Thunderbolt?
Adam replied to OzCoasterFreek's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I want a Mack Water Coaster but I know they're not getting one What they are getting though, will be just as good.
