  1. Apparently the original tour was stopped due to people leaving the vehicle and wandering the studios. If it was re-done in a smaller group with a personal guide (such as the real Warner Bros. Studio Tours) I think it could work. Personally, I would like the Movie Magic part of the tour to return in some form, almost like Disaster at Universal Studios Orlando. It would be really enjoyable if you could learn about things such as Chroma Key, CGI/Motion Capture as well as other special effects.
  2. What are some places that new mazes could go? I know that Intencity would be one, but where else? The old Lethal Weapon Store?
  3. This is Dreamworld we're talking about so lets be realistic. It's gonna be themed around a school of turbines flying around.
  4. I'm still hoping for a sprung tent, but I think it might be a bit too late now...
  5. I understand where you coming from. I just know a lot of people (young & old) who know the Twilight Zone franchise, and I just thought that it might have been a good example, but I can now see that it is not. Saying that, What would be a franchise or two that MW could use that wouldn't date quickly, while still being relevant?
  6. Even though it only finished the other day, Carnivale has been renewed for 2015. Looks like we've got another recurring nighttime event!
  7. It doesn't really have to be ongoing. As long as it's engrained in Pop Culture, then generally it works. Take Twilight Zone Tower of Terror over at Disney for example. The series has been finished since 1964, however, because it has become a part of pop culture, the franchise works. Scooby Doo's Spooky Coaster is 50/50. The actual cartoon is a part of pop culture, however the film the ride is based on isn't. If the ride was re-themed to the classic cartoon, then it would work better than the film. I'm not to sure about the Matrix. It hasn't gone down the path of films such as Jurassic Park, where a lot of people (even today) have seen it. Making an attraction based on it would be quite risky.
  8. Seeing that Arkham Asylum is on the other side of the alleyway, I would love to see it be redesigned to look like Gotham's Crime Alley. Diagon alley wouldn't be a right fit, as well as the fact that Universal holds the rights to Harry Potter.
  9. Harry Potter is a Warner Bros. franchise, and that's at Universal! If MW was to get a terminator ride, alll they would have to do would be to get the license rights for the film, but that may be hard depending on the studio. I would really love to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory implemented somehow (dark ride?) as well as the old gangster films (stuntshow?) and finally, Godzilla (immersive tunnel maybe?) All of these would be possible, as the Tim Burton Charlie is a Warner film, as is their back catalogue of gangster films and the latest Godzilla film.
  10. Evil Dead was definitely a favourite, but I found last year's Walking Dead to have better overall themeing. If they do go for a cohesive theme that ties in with the mazes, I wouldn't mind seeing something similar to the Director or the Usher from Halloween Horror Nights. It's movie themed, easy to tie in, and satisfies a lot of people. Last year's circus theme wasn't really evident, which kinda disappointed me. But anyway, I don't want to get too excited for anything until I actually see something official done by Movie World.
  11. Everyone here has really good photography! I really like that photo of the Sea Viper mid-course by Reanimated and Westical's shot of Expedition Everest.
  12. Well it's getting around that time of year again, as Movie World starts to slowly reveal information about this year's Fright Nights! While I don't believe there is any information on the event floating about the internet, I though it might be good to discuss what everyone is looking forward to with this years event! Is there a maze that you want to see? Would you like to see ticket prices dropped? Maze numbers increased? How about proper scare-zones? What's everyone's speculations?
  13. Well it seems that Carnivale is really doing wonders for Movie World. Another two nights on the 4th and the 5th have been annouced on their facebook page!
  14. Never been to the Legoland Driving Schools, but can say that they look like a great ride. If that is what Mini-Cars will be like, I will be so happy
  15. True. I just have this little thought in my head hoping that the ride is going to be more family friendly than Tijuana Taxis, even though we already know it's basically a more detailed and extended clone. One can dream, right?
  16. I forgot the name of the server, but I do know that there is a Minecraft server dedicated to recreating Walt Disney World completely. If I remember the name, I'll make an edit and post it here.
  17. I remember driving the Tijuana Taxis when I was about 11 and it was painful. As a skinny guy, there is no way in hell that I would attempt to ride the Mini-Cars now that I'm older. If only they made the vehicles like Autopia at Disneyland. Small enough for kids, spacious enough for adults. Can't believe I'm saying this but they should take Dreamworld's Model - T cars as an example. The vehicles on that ride are almost perfect for their purpose.
  18. Gotta say that I really love this photo Downunder196. Looks like it could be a good wallpaper or cover photo
  19. Ain't saying they are, but generally all states go on holidays roughly around the same time, give or take a week or two.
  20. Has anyone check to see whether Ardent Leisure or Dreamworld have submitted the planning proposal for the new ride? We all know its gonna be a spin 'n' spew, but seeing the actual documentation might help determine just how generic this ride is going to be.
  21. I went Tuesday last week and it was generally busy for being before QLD school holidays officially started. Superman had an hour wait (with only one train), Green Lantern was roughly 40-60 minutes, Scooby was 30-45, and Wild West Falls was a walk-on for most of the day. What are generally the best times of year to visit the parks? I always try to go down before the holidays officially start, but it always ends up being hit or miss.
  22. They look as if they've been painted over and covered completely. I guess we wont be getting all the water effects back
  23. Really nice! Especially love that shot of the Cyclone during its course. Also, what camera do you use?
