  1. Good to hear they've had a single rider line. Well that sucks, I would've thought they would all be working after closing for so long. Maybe todays reopening was a test to see if the rides systems were working and then they will fix those smaller issues Probably to make sure it all works Could that be something they've done on purpose maybe, if they are concerned about people climbing out of the boats
  2. WWF has reopened, and apparently nothing has visually changed
  3. And there isn't really any way that FN will ever compete with HHN, because Universal have more money, space and rights to movie/show/character licensing. And now days, they have about 10 houses (mazes) at the event.
  4. @Rollercoaster_Lover that doesn't make any sense though. It's a sea creature attraction, which has rarely closed for month than a month, and most definitely not for 10 months. And winter on the Gold Coast definitely doesnt go for that long.
  5. Just a thought, is there a possibility that HWSD2 has to close because of the fire effect and other loud special effects, and these could have some effects on the Comm Games in some way. Or they just decided this time because they could
  6. They've also added a reopening date for Ray reef at SW December 1st, 2018
  7. HWSD has now returned to the maintenance page
  8. All VRTP’s have signs up similar to this throughout their carparks
  9. It has now been removed from the maintenance listing
  10. Was there anything he wish he did or didn’t do/add to the park while he was owning it? Whether it was a ride he really wanted but couldn’t get, an idea he never perused, or something he did do and wished he didn’t?
  11. Most of the construction walls have now come down, with fencing around the store area (As shown on the sign). It seems at this stage the facade won’t look like the original cocnept imagery. Maybe they are wanting to get it open in time for the games, and then will install the steel structure at a later date. At least I hope that’s the case, because right now it’s very underwhelming (Photo: TPSN)
  12. Stromtroppwrs Weekend has been confirmed again for 2018 at Dreamworld. But it’s seems this year will definitely be it’s last. (Image from Show Schedule on DW website)
  13. If you are going to discuss this in a future article you don’t have to answer this, but was the Koala Show inspired by Disney attractions and it’s use of animatronics and story telling?
  14. I did assume that Disney didn’t actually have any direct connection to the development of the park, but it’s great to read that John took ideas, designs and experiences from Disney and in a way, recreated them with his own style and thoughts
  15. I understand that @Minions! and not saying it’s bad they’ve done it, but it seems like a bit of a dodge job with how they’ve secured it. But I’m happy that they have taken extra safety precautions during the rides maintenance period.
  16. @Roachie another great read and it is really interesting reading about how much of an inspiration Disneyland was and how its ideas were implemented into DW. And the story behind the Thunderbolt, wow what a story that is. Can't wait for the rest of his story. And also, they have both been really well written.
  17. Strange they’d close the show during a peak period. Maybe they are going to use the arena for extra parking or something
  18. Or they may be having issues with the water systems, as an example
  19. Just a few thoughts I have from the update: - Good to see they are advertising the new attraction, and not leaving the fencing/walls blank - Hopefully some of those theming elements from Gold Rush are moved to RHLR (providing they fit the theme) - I assume the mesh/netting for Giant Drop is for 'extra safety' but if so, why not actually make it safer - I personally really like the new theming elements added to this end of Corroboree. - Where actually is this new 'amphitheatre'? - It is a shame that they have removed the train tunnel waterfall, and just replaced it with pool fencing. Surely a timber fence of sorts would've fitted much better. Even if it did cost a bit more and took a bit more time. - It is good to see a lot happening throughout the park, but it is disappointing that half finished things are left exposed for all to see (particularly in the Corroboree area, unless they are hidden, but photos were taken over the fence) - And that first piece of theming for the Dreamworks area (The archway over the door on the left building) 100% confirms it is Trolls, if it wasn't already. If this is just a temporary attraction, things surely should've been done much quicker, or issues resolved before construction began.
  20. I loved the Looney Tunes 4D movie, and glad it lasted so long, because it definitely was the best since Shrek. And I am very glad to hear that this new one isnt just the actual movie edited down for this. Look forward to seeing it.
