  1. In my opinion I would say that the new kids area will take up the red area, with the roller coaster taking up the blue area (Green area being COTD). I think it would be good if they did theme it around Nickelodeon, but as said the license won't last, so I think a neutral theme like what they have now would be fine.
  2. ^i think the hallway illusion refers to the mirror that you look at just before the left turn to the elevator
  3. I'm thinking that it will be permanent. If it is as popular as dinosaur island, then it probably will be. At least it fits the theme better
  4. I don't think they need to do a nickelodeon retheme. I like the theme they have got and the minor message that some rides put through (rubbish in the ocean).
  5. Some more of the sea creatures have been/are being installed:
  6. The smoke at the train part of the WWF, has been there for a couple of years now, but it I a good touch. I also think that the water on SE hasn't been working for a while, which is a shame. Despite the AA Barnes setting tight on the legs, I'd much rather have sore legs for a minute than a headache. I'm fairly sure that single rider queue was added during the maintenance period. And I definitely agree about HWSD2. It's corny, and explosion is pointless. The stunts are good, but there is no real story to the show, and the theming is all out of place. And even though they have removed the jumps, in the trailer part of the show, the bikes and jumps are visible at some points. I think the park need to refresh the show, and really sit down, sort the theme out, get a good story line, which has good stunts, comedy and crowd interaction.
  7. To the people that went last year and have been again this year. Is the event/food/parade the same, or are their noticeable differences? And what are the ride queues like?
  8. From the photos I've seen I can't fully tell the full area of land it will take up. I think it would be good if the attraction incorporated part of the streams/lakes water for some of the creatures. Unless the reclaimed land is just being used as a storage area at this stage, I'm imagining that the attraction will take up this area: I am hoping that the area in the blue will be used for an extension for the kids area. I think a kids coaster would be great addition. I agree with you Zanstabar, I too am excited for this and will be a great addition to the park.
  9. ^I 100% agree. But I just thought I would post them so we can all see the progress if people hadn't already seen these photos.
  10. ^I didn't think he was 15. They sometimes post photos on their page with a guy in them and I'm fairly certain that is the guy who runs the page. More creatures have arrived and installation has begun:
  11. Dreamworld now other mobile charging stations. Located in the outside eatery at Food Central, near the ATM & just inside the Market place entrance next to the Kodak shop. Cost is $2 for a 30 minute charge, plus longer charging is available. They are secure, with easy user instructions on the machine. Keys cannot be removed when not in use: lost keys will require a security check before re-opened by a supervisor
  12. ^DW have updated there website for the maintenance and will be reopening tomorrow.
  13. No there isn't a Superman character at the park, and hasn't been for a few years now.
  14. I've always wondered about zip line as well. I just got the discovery pass, which says I get 50% off sky coaster, flow rider and zip line. I'm going to assume that it does work, but they just don't use it. And now that constrictor is there, does that affect people from getting to the zipline? (I haven't been to the park sine constrictor opened)
  15. A roller coaster like Manta at SW Orlando would be really good. It would a type of coaster we haven't seen on the Gold Coast before. And I think it would be a great addition to SW
  16. I'd recommend checking all ride signs as they do say about epilepsy and whether or not to ride. But some other rides/attractions that may be an issue include: Justice League, Superman Escape and Zombie Evilution. It says on MW's website about epilepsy: Some of our attractions are not recommended for guests with epilepsy, motion sickness or those who experience seizures. Please visit Guest Services (Map Reference G5) prior to presenting to our attractions for individual ride details. On DW's website it lists all there rides/attractions and it only mentions epilepsy for Skadoosh Bumper Cars.
  17. Part of the reclaimed land has now been fenced off, maybe this will play a part in the COTD. And here are the pictures of part of the carpark fenced off. Photos source: the theme park social network
  18. Not so much a stadium, but a new indoor sports building behind DW on the sporting fields for a couple of the events. That sounds really good for Tiger Island. I would say that the whole area will be closed during the refurbishment.
