  1. If they are saying it's a sneak peek does that mean that after the holidays it will be closing again so they can finish things off. Is the Dockside Tavern open again?
  2. Thanks for the photos. Looks really good. Is there a show where the Dora show was, or is it the same show?
  3. ^I would say that they still had that planned, but due to the delays and complaints by people of the advertising being apparently wrong (which I don't think it is, as it said 'opening these school holidays', it didn't say 'opening for the start of the school holidays'). And now people are complaining on FB because they weren't given notice about it opening today. When I went yesterday, from what I saw, I wouldn't have said it was going to open today.
  4. Themeparks all in one posted on FB that you can try out the Playpen panic rooms without going to FN. It's $25 per person and you have 20 minutes to try and get out. Someone will be walking around Main Street advertising it and to book it.
  5. SW have posted on FB that Nickelodeon land is Now Open. Ride names are: Dora’s Festiva Carousel, Boots’ Banana Bash, Bikini Bottom Crosstown Express, Patrick’s Jellyfish Frenzy, SpongeBob’s Boating School Coaster and Donatello’s Ninja Flyers.
  6. I wasn't thinking that they'd get all 4 panic rooms in that one space
  7. I remember seeing somewhere (I think it was MWs FB) a while ago that a bike was riding around MW for googles street view in the park.
  8. i quickly went into SW today (the park was very busy, with quite long queues for the rides) to check out progress and see if there was anything else I could comment on. I couldn't really get photos of anything else other than the ones posted yesterday, due to machinery, vegetation and workers. It appears that all pathways are complete, vegetation is in (there is quite a bit with a number of palm tree around the area). I couldn't remember the names of the rides, but 3 of the rides are spongebob themed, one TMNT and one Dora the Explorer. The area is looking very good overall. I would say by the looks of things it will be opening in the first week of October.
  9. Gold Coast Theme Parks FB page posted these photos today. Seems like most of the rides theming and signage is done. And most, if not all vegetation and pathways are done. I would guess that it will be open within the next week.
  10. Someone asked MW on FB where the panic rooms will be and they are all on Main Street.
  11. Quite a few people have been commenting about the price on MWs FB post of the announcement of the panic rooms, and a lot of them are saying how expensive it is. $80 is really steep for it, especially if you wanted to do more than one of them. But you probably wouldn't get a chance to do them all as well as the mazes, unless you paid for the fast track maze pass. The panic rooms pricing is alright if you only do one and there are 4 of you, that's $20 each, which isn't too bad. I think they will be a great experience but can't imagine them all being a sell out every night for that price.
  12. Panic Rooms announced: Cirque De La Peur: You’re exploring an abandoned fun house but realise this is not a place of fun but that of fear. Psycho clowns trap you. They love a game. Watch out for their tricks. Devilution A virus has infected the human race, ‘devolving’ victims into possessed, animals. An old basement provides safe haven, but you’re not alone. You must escape. You turn to run. The door is locked... Night Crawler You and your team become trapped while investigating recent murders in the sewers. Something is lurking in the shadows, and has hidden the objects you need to get out. The Playpen A crazed red-neck has kidnapped you, believing you’re the long lost children she brutally murdered. To escape you must play Big Mama’s game. Better learn the ABC’s and remember your 1, 2, 3’s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=69&v=gO1wAnvwEOk They are $80 each 20 minutes to escape 2 - 4 people.
  13. I don't think he was trying to debate with you either. I actually think it's good that you feel that FN are better than HHN. Good to hear that people believe MW have an event which is world class. I've never been to HHN so I can't provide my opinion and compare the events.
  14. ^So why do you prefer FN? Is it the atmosphere, mazes, scare zones, scare actors?
  15. I think the idea of a coaster there would be good and an outback theme would probably be good, but I doubt they would do an aboriginal theme, as it may be seen as disrespectful to the aboriginal communities and they would have to get permission from them to use that as a theme for a ride.
  16. ^No I don't think so. SW have just said opening these school holdiays, and on FB when people have asked when it opens, they have replied with, at some point during the holidays. And they also said due to the rain over the last couple of days has set them back a little.
  17. ^The removal of the carnival games and signage is a promising sign that they will be reopening the ride.
  18. Looking at this image, do people think that they will have a pathway going to around the back of the two whales? The way it looks in the image, it seems like they will. And does anyone have any ideas of what they might/could do with that land to the right where there is just sand at the moment?
  19. Just got this email: Don't just live the terror in the maze, scare yourself senseless with a second dose of death at the Roxy Theatre this Fright Nights. Prepare to dodge Jason's blade as 13 of the most vicious kills from Friday the 13th lunge at you from the screen in an epic "R" rated 4D experience.
  20. ^Thats what I was thinking. I was at the park yesterday and I didn't notice anything new since the last person provided an update.
