  1. ^I actually think that as well. I think those photos make the slide look a little out of place. Maybe if we had a photo showing the entire site, it may not look as bad.
  2. (Photo source: Thrillz) Construction is coming along nicely for Triple Vortex: From these photos it looks like the splash down will be near the stairs that lead up to the slide or a slide piece just been put there for now? I still can't fully tell where the queue line will be positioned at this stage. So far I'm impressed with the slide though.
  3. ^No. Just stopped on the road along the front of the park and managed to see it.
  4. The first tunnel of Triple Vortex has been installed. From what I can tell this is the way the slide will go. I didn't see where the slide finishes, but I believe it shares the same splash down pool as RIP:
  5. I would say that would just be another improvent. We might see some more changes to the ride next year in its schedule maintenance. I think the next couple of year will be a good year for Dreamworld, with the new attractions opening and the changes being made so far, I'm looking forward to seeing what else they have planned to do. ALSO, Here are the latest construction photos of Tail Spin (photo source: Thrillz):
  6. Dreamworld said there would be 2 major refurbishment. Wipeout had a major refurbishment, Claw is just having a fresh coat of paint and the cameras on the GD are just an extra addition.
  7. I don't think MW class it as a thrill ride, but because of the way their website is set up, they have just put it under the thrills category. They have thrills, which is nearly all rides, kids fun, which is the Kids WB Area and family entertainment, which is the shows. If you click on the information of rides it does say its a moderate ride. If they just renamed that section to just RIDES, then it would be more appropriate. I haven't been to the park (except at Fright Night) since the ride opened and from what I have seen the ride looks pretty impressive. Themed really well and provides a great atmosphere. I can understand why the ride doesn't have long queues because of wheres it positioned. When you walk into the park it isn't something that you automatically see, unlike the rides around it. If they extended the theming out a bit, then it may be more visible, or if they fitted a sign saying 'Justice League: Alien Invasion' This Way. I doubt that MW are overly concerned about this though. Regarding it as a replacement of Batman the Ride, I think it is a good one. Yes the journey you are taken on in Batman: the ride, was good, I didn't find it an overly enjoyable ride. I only ever rode it a couple of times, because of this.
  8. The mini Tornado is currently being installed. Its green, over half of it is complete and is positioned to the left of the Junior attraction.
  9. Slide pieces for Triple Vortex are currently being put in place. So far there is one of the tornado's and a couple of sections of enclosed slide sections.
  10. Looking at the images closely I can now see how the seating works. Really like AA or Escape from Madagascar, as someone said earlier. On the planes wings you can see the levers they you pull back and forth to get the plane to tilt/spin.
  11. ^Thankd for those photos, I can't believe that they are already testing the ride. One question though, how do people get into the planes? I've never been on this type of ride before and I can't figure out how they do. The claw and the refreshed sign look great. The blue path throughout Ocean Parade provides a good fresh look to the area. And those Wipeout photos are awesome.
  12. ^It doesn't look like there will be. It wasn't operating last year either though, so I'm not surprised.
  13. ^I agree and think the public interaction is good. I voted for the Cannibal Clowns maze.
  14. MW have released infer about Fright Night (http://movieworld.com.au/fright-nights.aspx#!): The theme is "Live the Terror" It is on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th, 18, 24th, 25th, 31st. There will be 4 new mazes The rides that will be open are AA, GL, SE, BS and SDSC Movie World want the public to vote for the last maze, Cannibal Clowns or Rage Rampage. I'm definitely looking forward to it again this year
  15. ^There is a Screamworld that night as well, so that will be a stand out addition to the night.
  16. ^Isn't it September 19 because right now its 26 days 18hrs. Also Dreamworld uploaded this photo to FB:
  17. ^I agree. If you look at WnW Sydney's Jnr. attraction it seems like that too:
