  1. It looks like they will be using the rest of that land in that part of the park. If it is similar to the one in Sydney, I think it will be a great addition to the park and will be very popular.
  2. ^I think it might just be the light. I do hope that they fix up that part that is missing paint at the top of the arms.
  3. It looks like viewers will be able to get even closer to the ride in the middle section. I would say once the path is completed and the railings are put in place testing will begin.
  4. Last year I though the detail and theming within the mazes was amazing (not so much the darkness maze though). I though the length of them were good and had a good scar factor. Maybe this year they could have the same lengthy and detail, but add ore scare factor in some parts of the mazes.
  5. Where were these carts before china town was closed off? Can't they be moved back there?
  6. Where do people think these could go? This is the largest area of land for a major attraction to be put in place, unless there is somewhere else I can't think of. As a few of us have said, I show could go into the show building within the highlighted space.
  7. I drove past WnW this afternoon and there is plenty of ground work happening. I couldn't see if pipes have been installed, but there is plenty happening.
  8. Have any more buildings been added or is it no different to the last photos we saw?
  9. Does anyone know why the Sky High Skyway is closed until further notice?
  10. It would be nice to see something happen to China Town, instead of it just sitting there with a wall in front of it. They could build a new food stall/shop where the old queue was for LW. Maybe they could change china town into an alley way in gotham city (just an idea) just so it fits into the area and allow easier access to the ride, and SE.
  11. I think we can say that Wild isn't happening anymore. I would say that me might hear some news about a new attraction/ride to be built on this land next year.
  12. ^I agree. Lately DW have mainly added flat rides. Their new ride will be a flat ride as well because of the space. I think they need to build something big in the Gold Rush Country. Has anyone been in the past couple of days and noticed any major work happening on the new ride and slide?
  13. Here is the video of the NRL Footy Show riding the GD and BuzzSaw: http://www.jump-in.com.au/show/nrlfootyshow/videos/3656833473001/
  14. I would agree and I didn't think Hillbilly Slasher 2 was overly scary either. What have the themes been in the past? I know last years was a Circus. In people's opinion what have been the best mazes of the years? (I had from friends that the Arkham Asylum and Freddy Kruger Mazes were really good.)
  15. Tonight on the NRL footy show they ride the GD and on the footage you can see a bar attached, as said by downunder196. My guess is that the cameras will be installed and tested during their maintenance in a couple of weeks. EDIT: They just played the footage and they had a camera attached to that bar. Camera was a a good angel and you could see the expressions on their faces. If they do the same for the public it will be good and worth the money.
  16. I messaged Dreamworld about the idea of installing video cameras onto the Giant Drop and they said this: "We are close to doing exactly that! Great minds must think alike." Thats good news. I think it will be a great addition to the ride, I will be buying one when they are installed. Each side of the GD will be close for a week in August, so I would say they will be installed then.
  17. I don't think a ride of this size would fit into the space reclaimed and I don't think this is the best way to show animals. But that's just me.
  18. If you look at photos/videos of when the Paddle Boat and waterfall was running the river was pretty clean, not covered in moss And I think they have still got the towers where the camera's were sat; and they have still got the photo centre for it, it is just not longer used. If a camera could be installed on the ride, I think it would be a great addition.
