  1. sea world have just announced that dinosaur island will be closing on feb 24. Wild is still happening.
  2. i know that it was sea world. but i wasnt sure if people were serious about there being a cyclone 2
  3. So is the cyclone being upgraded or not? I'm confused.
  4. I wouldn't think that they would just forget about this. It will probably be a major attraction and allow animals to be seen that haven't been seen in South- east Queensland before. I am sure the animals coming to Sea World are from another zoo and the deal has been made. Last time I went there was plenty of sand in place, but reclaiming land can take time as the sand has to become solid to ensure that it won't break away over time. I would say that we will start seeing major work start by the end of the year. The Gold Coast Theme Parks Facebook page posted this on the 14th December:
  5. It has been updated: Don’t miss the brand new show ‘FMX OVERDRIVE’ drifting into Warner Bros. Movie World for a limited time only from November 22 until 10 February 2014.
  6. Why is it always going down for maintence?
  7. I messaged Dreamworld asking about the Wipeout and this is what they said: "It is getting some much needed Love, and the service will take a little more time than we would like, but it is all for good reasons."
  8. I would say that they haven't updated the info about FMX Overdrive.
  9. Fmx overdrive will run to February 19th and the new Hollywood stunt driver 2 will open on February 20th
  10. I know what reconstruction means. I meant I don't know what parts they will be reconstructing.
  11. Other information about the show was put on this forum:
  12. The theme park social network posted it on Facebook and I'm not sure what is meant but reconstruction. I'll let everyone know when I know
  13. Wipeout is closed for so long because it's being reconstructed
  14. Wet n Wild have released some of the maintenance schedule: Constrictor will be closed for scheduled maintenance from Monday 10th February and will re-open on Monday 17th of February 2014. Wavepool will be partially closed (pool, no waves) for scheduled maintenance from Monday 17th March and will re-open Monday 24th March 2014.
  15. I know that and I believe him. I'm just curious where he got it from.
  16. I thought it was just the FMX Overdrive finishing today. Where does it say that Stunt Driver is finishing as well today?
  17. I know that, but anyone can just say something. That doesn't make it true. oh ok, thanks
  18. If I had the money I would love to buy Dreamworld. That way I could make the changes I want to make and I've course I would read these forums to see what everyone thinks about the park and how things are going.
  19. They could it they wanted too but I don't think they would. It would depend on bad things are for Dreamworld
  20. its in the best place i think. because it is a longish ride it probably would look out of place anywhere else in ocean parade. it is hidden away enough so that it doesn't look out of place, but can still be seen when not right next to it.
  21. I'll do my opinion then: Thrill Rides: Pandamonium - You have to have a very strong stomach for it. It is good how they have the moderate version of the ride. I don't think its anything special though.BuzzSaw - It may be short and not hold many people, but I think it's an enjoyable ride, not one I would go on over and over again. The Tower of Terror 2 - One of my favourites at the park. A ride I would go on a couple of times if the queue wasn't long (it usually is though). The Cyclone - Needs an upgrade. The track isn't bad, but Its just very uncomfortable and for people who are 6ft (like myself), there isn't much room for your legs. The Giant Drop - Another favourite. Obvious really.Wipeout - Been on it once and didn't feel to good after so I can't provide my opinion really. Except I felt like I was always going to fly out of my seat. The Claw - Spin and Spew. Good capacity though.Motocoaster - Shouldn't be in this list. Uncomfortable. Kids to like it, but i don't see many want to ride it again. Family rides: Shockwave - It may not be very comfortable but its an enjoyable family ride. Spin and Spew after a few rides.Rocky Hollow Log Ride - Old and needs upgrading or something. It has pointless thumbing (dinosaur/rhino (i don't know) and mushrooms). The part where you get on the boat needs a shade sale or something. AND ALL THAT CHEWING GUM ON ONE OF THE WOODEN BUILDING. JUST CLEAN IT. It doesn't take much. (Honestly the ride could just be ripped out and a new log ride could be put in its place. But they probably wont do that. good way to cool down though.Thunder River Rapids Ride - Popular and can get quite wet, which is good. I wish they would get ride of the photo part at the start of the ride. Just put two camera (one on each side) half way around the ride. Only tourists want to wait and get there photo taken. They should also upgrade the theming in the cave.Reef Diver - What the original forum was about. I think its another spew and spin ride. It's old and should be replaced. They have got the room from the old octopus ride as well.Avis Vintage Cars - In its old location it was better and more popular. The new location just needs some theming. Tunnel, bridge, river to cross over, etc. Kids Rides: Wiggles World: I think its still popular and a great area for younger kids. Well themed. I think maybe another ride would be good.Dreamworks: All the areas are very well themed and contain a range of rides for a range of ages. Other:Evilution - I haven't been since it opened so I can't comment on it.Flowride - Good funRedline - What I've heard its not worth doing. It needs an upgrade and should be moved to near mdmc. It has no point of being in the ocean parade.
  22. They could create the lake into a ride, similar to the Jaws one in Universal Studios. Obviously not Jaws, but something that fits Dreamworld. It's just an idea, probably won't happen.
