  1. ^Thanks reanimated. But yeah it was a pretty pointless thing to post, my bad.
  2. I'm sure once the footing is completed, the ride will go up fairly quickly, with the theming and the additional elements to the area to follow.
  3. Oh wow, I wasn't expecting the roof to go that far. This roof will definitely allow large events to be held. I wonder if any additional food outlets will be added. From the image of what the area will look like posted back in March, it seems the facades of the stores will be getting a new look. Im assuming that due to the construction the detour is now to walk through the Nickelodeon area and under the bridge past Vikings Revenge. Can anyone confirm this?
  4. I'm thinking that this area would make a good scare zone for this years FN. And maybe, if the Show Stage is still empty, and there are access points, the mazes theme could link to the areas theme.
  5. I'm going to say that the reason why the monorails maintenance is so long is because of the roofs construction. So if it's closed until July 31st. Then I'm thinking the roofs construction will be completed just before this date. Also, SW have added a barrier around CotD, so I'm assuming that it won't have to close during the Jet Sunt show now: (Photo: TPSN)
  6. ^Same. Much easier and a quarter of the time.
  7. So this might mean they will reopen to gate, tat we've been asking for for years. But having all those outlets closed, means the only food options are at the front or back of the park, and the tavern. That isn't a lot. I hope they have temporary food outlets open during peak times.
  8. Thanks for the update. I'm thinking they will be installing a concrete bridge, rather than another wooden bridge, maybe a little wider as well, so when people stop to take photos, feed fish, look at pelicans, then they won't be in the way of moving traffic. And it seems like they are starting preparations for the new roof.
  9. ^That is true, but we don't know the disability, and some disabilities do have major effects on people and the way they think. So this man, may have not known what he was doing to a certain extent. But in that case, the carer should have been on the ride with him. But in the end we can't make assumptions, unless a statement is made.
  10. Agreed. First time I went on Aqualoop I was shaking as I went up the stairs, and then waiting in the shoot, my heart was pounding. I went on the Wedgie for the first time, after I'd ridden Aqualoop many times. But Aqualoop still gets my heart pounding, Wedgie, not so much, but still has a level of thrill to it.
  11. If this is true, its going to make a lot of people feel bad after some of the comments I had read.
  12. I'm sure DW had contacted Austereo and told them about their false accusations and asked to remove it.
  13. DW have responded to all the posts on FB saying: 'Hi, we have updated our page with an approximate date, to let visitors know that it will be closed while we conduct a full safety review. We will continue to update our website with information and dates, as we have it. Thank you for the interest and support.' I checked their website again, and the reopening day has changed to Thursday.
  14. Just had a look, and there are so many. It's crazy. But I wonder how many people read the article. Or just checked the DW website, where it says it will open in a couple of days. This could change, but I can't imagine it being overly long. It wasn't a ride error, so there shouldn't been any major issues.
  15. ^Yeah I do. I was just stating it, for anyone who just reads the title and doesn't look at the article.
  16. You click on the article and it then doesn't say anywhere that it is closing for good. It just says closes down, which in my opinion doesn't mean closes for good. It has closed down for a couple of days, while DW investigate. This isn't the end of the ride.
  17. Came across this website (http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/dream/logos_maps_etc/ ) which features most of the DW park maps, couple aren't very good quality, so haven't included those below, but these give an idea of the transformation of the park between its opening in 1982 and 2005.
  18. ^It was posted on the Gold Coast theme park FB page that it is reopening on Wednesday. EDIT: just checked DWs website and it says this.
  19. ^There is a brief moment at 3:56 that you can see the other log just as it reaches the top of the lift hill:
  20. I'd be surprised if MW don't put a higher way around the area to kind of keep some of the area as a surprise. But I suppose it would be hard to keep such a large area like this hidden to a certain extent.
  21. From the details given, I think we can say that this ride didn't break and that caused a man to fall out of the log. And if the ride did break or suddenly stop, the only you could fall out is my standing. I'm now assuming that this lady didn't see the man fall, especially if he fell back onto the conveyor belt. I'm going to say, he decided to stand, for what ever reason while going up the lift hill, and even the jolting of it, or as it reached the top where it comes off the conveyor belt, he has fallen back. Ride attendant has seen this happen through one of the cameras in the lift hill, and has stopped the ride immediately.
