Big issue is the distance to those measures to take action. During early morning walks people (staff) are in the park and the guns tranquil or otherwise would be far away. They don’t walk with them. As for pat all i have ever seen is attachment. I hope that would not result in poor decision making. There must be a policy in place.

there is a code for an all park emergency. Not tiger specific. During the days of the turntable was there a blocking point somewhere on the ride to create a distance between rafts? does not appear like it from the video posted.

Thanks for the info on the turntable. I don’t know everything about this ride. I suspect i did not know this fact as it was not used in the 90s. Yes bermuda had one . not sure why the rapids ride would of needed it even with its modifications over years. Any historians on this around ?

people speak of this turntable . It never had one? If so where exactly . That old conveyor belt. Should have at least been a manually operated positive action not a negative one in emergency instead of always on. Its crazy to think people are so young and put in the supervisor or training roles . But given what the pay packet is for these jobs people with a bit more experience in life are most likely less interested .

Logic also suggests that the persons effected by this will chase ardent or the governing body. They won’t bother chasing the operators anyhow no matter the inquest outcomes. Not likely to receive any material compensation from them . Best you could do is bankrupt them but what’s the point.

Does it! Individuals involved all have received external legal advice. Trying to all protect themselves. One would expect the operator and trainer to contradict. I’m interested to hear if the operator was told about that unload estop. the overarching factor remains the outdated system and the fact it internally and externally got signed off especially without recommendations being implemented Logic suggests at least after collision .otherwise would not have happened. When exactly after the damage would have been done already sadly .

Thought the person who got fired turned of pumps. Sounds like you could turnoff either or both with good reason and not get fired. In this case you could of said ducks in trough if smart enough. Sounds like this accident occurred due to human error but still does not account for why human input (trainer or operator) had to be so involved in the operation in theisday and age . Best practice should have avoided that. More automation should have been introduced over time in a pro active risk culture environment. At least longer training. But most people should understand 2 buttons in 90 minutes? Did the trainer really say don’t worry about the red button and go to the senior operator? Jdude was that asked ?

Does a big red looking e stop button need a label ? ( assume this was in the panel ) Did the ride technically fail due to underspend ? No water pump failures have always been common, frequency of failure may have been higher . Would more safety staff or an earlier external audit prevent the accident ? Doubt it people had become complacent. multiple things leading to unlikely event. Not sure a pro active risk culture would have solved.. just reduced likelihood. a better ride system reducing human input is the key 🔑

There is always room for improvement. For example when and how external audits are completed will effect all theme parks going forwards. My points raised are relevant and rational . Could still happen with conitinuos load if load slow. Some removed planks from conveyor which may have also increased change of getting stuck. why could this not happen at vrtp? Maybe not the exact same event but incidents happen . Let’s not forget what happened in green lantern . People were lucky to not loose their life’s. I’m sure an external engineering firm also signs of new rides when auditing despite it being an initial design fault as per TRR. a better risk culture should have identified flipping as an issue after 2001 whether or not there was a raft moored after that incident. Lets not forget the probability of incident increased over time . Modifications to conveyor, unload station put in space closer to conveyor, rails put underneath to stabilise rafts after coming of conveyor all increased the chance .

100percent at fault to be attributed to someone ( ie 1 entity or person) is not going to occur. There are a number of parties. Ardent, the dreamworld Mangement team, regulator, government, external engineering auditor etc. that said one party could bear the brunt of it

At least motocoaster in a well spaced area. Ignoring all the theming issues. Just simple design would suggest a lot of cramming has occurred with the trolls village out there.
