  1. It was a small non threatening fire right out the back behind the maintenance sheds. It was closer to the sports building than DW.
  2. I wouldn't think Dreamworld would want to publicly remind everyone of the accident, therefore possibly restarting the whole reduction in attendance again just when people are starting to get over it.
  3. From the highway it looks about level with the bat tower. As I was leaving the big mumma crane was getting ready to lift up another section of track. They was still a big team of guys working on the top section on the ground.
  4. Does anyone know how to search for roadworks plans around Gold Coast? Similar to searching the Gold Coast pdonline for building plans and applications...but for roadworks? cheers
  5. I knew it lol. No matter what angle it didn't look like it'd join up properly.
  6. I see that but from the front of the park it looks like the track is in the way and thought maybe this is why they haven't joined it up yet.
  7. This support has been hangin like this for a while now... Anyone else see that the top one looks like it won't line up with the ground support? Would this require new parts to be fabricated or concrete piles moved?
  8. It's Topgolf. You can see the curve in the main slab.
  9. Way off topic here... Does anyone know if there are other forums similar to this that follow other construction and planning? Like progress and information about the westfield coomera development and the like?
  10. I've heard a few guys say building started in this spot because Mack told them to, but, I'm willing to put money on this section turning into a giant billboard for the new coaster once it's done... Especially after seeing the view from @Adrian86 's photo
  11. Obviously it's ladder access for something, could be for the coaster... Might be just part of the theming instead of an exposed ladder.
  12. I get what you're saying but at the same time, they must have been sitting on sufficient wood in the container. And they aren't gonna have another 200 banners to lay the rest of the track on...
  13. Must have turned up in a hurry if they needed those for padding lol
  14. I reckon you're spot on there. Would also cause less congestion closer to the entrance of MW. They'll probably cut further down too for the pieces to be moved onto the site.
  15. Pretty full on with those offices! Strange that there's going to be such a big work area there... maybe a lot of custom welding etc will need to be done. (Also, similar container "workshops" out the back of the studios)
  16. Hopefully this will help a steady flow of guests to WWW over winter! My mate owns Evoheat and their heat pumps are headed to WWW to take the chill off. Def a positive for me and will continue to visit through the colder months. I can see this as a big help in DW returning to normal
  17. I'm getting called out because of my up/down voting preferences? A forum is for personal opinions isn't it? My personal opinion, of which is none of anyone's business... If you're going to all offended and keyboard warrior about it I'll just leave, mainly due to the silliness of it.
  18. I knew it was a long shot considering it's in the studio lot... at the same time you wouldn't leave it out next to the main road.
  19. Could be nothing but here it is anyway, spotted outside studio 8 and 9. Theming for the new coaster? The first pic sorta looked like 2 sea creatures facing each other...
  20. I think maybe he was saying that they have built it. As in, they've built the track and it's ready for delivery.
  21. Just posted on Facebook... Not much information at this stage.
  22. Builders will need to get power from somewhere, so the blue box is probably a temp power board... The gray thing is def a transformer, and will probably stay there to power the ride as a boost to the parks power supply.
