  1. If only I had a picture, travelling to WWW just yesterday, arriving at roughly 11.15. The park was filled with so many people, the Wedgie may have been the latest addition yet guests were spread out very evenly. (Except for the Hydrocoaster, which is always packed) Neally all the deck chairs had been taken, and the only thing that I can say is that it was the complete OPPOSITE of your picture!
  2. How about these contending coasters: •A linear synchronous motor-launched steel complete-circuit coaster (Maverick) •A hydraulic launch rocket coaster (Kingda Ka) •A high speed giga coaster (Millenium Force) •A suspended looping coaster (Lethal Weapon) •A suspended shuttle coaster (De Ja Vu)
  3. I definitely agree Ninga. Some one should retaliate and send an email to him saying: With a family ride, must come a thrill ride. And another quote: "You have a degree of control over it and the more you ride it, the better you get. Whereas on a traditional thrill ride you're pretty much strapped in and that's how it happens. The more you ride it the more the anticipation goes." On traditional thrills, you don't know what G-force you'll feel next, you don't know where you are gonna turn. But on interactive things, you might have fun, you'll do what you want. Therefore the more you ride, the more you'll anticipate. So both types are very good, so I rest my case, with a family ride, comes a thrill ride.
  4. Good on ya Ash, finally some one who gets the point! It isn't the safest there is but it is safe, finally! Oh, and I know that hanging out in the backyard is risky, it's just that the chance of something really dangerous happening is really slim. Tolly1804, I was there yesterday and it flipped more than once, but yeah, the creaking was scaring me and, as I saw it, it only completed it's signature rotation every second time.
  5. Look, I know that you hate me, but why on earth did you need to say that, I am already having nightmares about horrible things occuring like this. I don't ride attractions solo, so I guess you want my Kiwi friend to die as well. And I know that people can be hurt on thrill rides, I know people can get killed, I am just trying to make my point and say that Dreamworld is a safe place (do not tell me to shut up because they have one an award) and that the wipeout was making creaking sounds the other day. No-one has been killed on DW's rides and I am totally horrified at what you said. I will say two things, please remove that part of the message and I'm sorry if I wrote the wrong things. I will not tell you my age and I just hope I didn't annoy you. SORRY!!!!!!! Please do not retaliate, when i said different in structure in height, of course you know that there is a difference in that, and the structure, the Dreamworld Tower accommodates TWO Giant Drops, whilst the American version had more than FOUR. Can we start fresh cos I've had enough of this stupid argument! And where do I find Daniel and Bussy then?
  6. I thought that instead of adding a strata coaster (Kingda Ka) to the Dreamworld Tower, what about putting one fairly close to it so that they would practically be sizing up against each other.
  7. Yeah, I know, but didn't they move that tent/building to it's current location?
  8. Mine are preety weird, still yet to enter though. Main Name: Sanctuary of the Inversions Slides: • Capsize • Wicked Invert • Lilac Somersault • Revolution Please don't copy!
  9. When you say 'Adventure Waters' do you mean the one thats planned to arrive in Cairns?
  10. I am slightly skeptical that this will occur, though it would be a fantastic achievement for the ever-growing park. The rides and attractions look great, although they may somehow end up 'over-lapping' Dreamworld's Ocean Parade. This would look fantastic, but water would drip onto gazing onlookers from the neighbouring theme park.
  11. Gazza, there was a wire at some stage hanging down Main Street, but this was roughly seven years ago. The parade used to be a fun, interactive form of show and, I never saw Superman, but, Batman used to be attached to a wire a fly over the audience, chasing ghosts on scooters and skateboards who held Daphne hostage. And the story went on... Maybe whitsy is a little 8 year old child who believes that everything they don't like is 'gay' or 'retarded'. Or he's just as you mentioned, I can figure. This'll probably the fourth time I've said it but, no offence.
  12. These are my top contenders: A linear synchronous motor-launched steel complete-circuit coaster (Maverick) A hydraulic launch rocket coaster (Kingda Ka) A high speed giga coaster (Millenium Force) A suspended looping coaster (Lethal Weapon) A suspended shuttle coaster (De Ja Vu) Maybe something that could get Dreamworld into the record books for the third time. Are we supposed to be talking about coasters or any thrill rides?
  13. Alex, is it just me or do you hold a grudge againdst Dreamworld?
  14. I really hope not, I think I'm carrying on a bit. But there will be some changes. MU HA HA HA! Just Kidding But construction and maintenance is most likely going to occur later this year and further into 2011. I slightly know that alot is going to occur, one thing being, as most already know, a new train/cart for the TOT. This has nothing to do with theme parks but I have just added a profile picture, do I have to add another one for the forumz? I have no clue, I am usually really good with computers
  15. How on Earth can you say there is THREE real theme parks in Australia, no offence, and I have to keep saying it. But how can you say that! And if only they did add more rides, but guess what, you'll get a surprise over the next 15 months, I can guarantee it.
  16. So staff - definitely the place to go for an unbiased opinion, not to mention that they're likely to lose their jobs if they talk in a negative manner about their employer. And Internet research - well - chalk one up for wikipedia - we know how reliable that is! I know how Wiki works- And it definitely is unreliable! BUT I did not simply take a glance at Wiki and believe that that is the solid truth, instead, more complex and updated websites on the web. I think you need to have a talk to Bussy and Daniel. The fact is, regardless of what safety measures are in place, what steps are taken, or how much money is thrown at the upkeep and maintenance, the fact is that ANYTHING can happen whilst on those thrill rides. You are slightly incorrect there, by talking to not only staff, I meant Ride Operators and Park Managers, simply, I have found that if you do follow these rules, they will make a significant impact on your thrill, not only is it safer, yet it gives you reassurance that nothing will happen. I know what you mean. Take Giant Drop for example: I have heard about what occured in America, yet what happened to the girl was different and could not occur in Australia. The rides are different in both structure and height. And whilst the Giant Drop is checked thoroughly during the parks 'closed' hours. The Americans, as I am to believe, did not check the thrill ride. For more reassurance, Dreamworld is one of the safest theme parks in the World.
  17. Honestly, I don't think that Dreamworld would go for the cheaper side of things, due to the fact that it is one of the safest theme parks in Australia. There is over 35 rides and attractions and there are multi-million dollar thrill rides.
  18. Not to be rude or anything, and no offence but, SERIOUSLY! I honestly think that Dreamworld is a fantastic, clean and decent theme park. It may not have changed over the past few years, but I know that in the next two years, a lot is going to be changecd in the park. More rides are going to be added, improvements are going to be given to the rides already placed in the park and more changes. Oh, and if you are wondering, Dreamworld is one of the safest theme parks in Australia. The Wipeout is neally 25 years old and without a doubt, nothing could happen whilst on these thrill rides. I have not simply written this without regard, I have instead talked to the staff and researched on the internet.
  19. Maybe, an inverted shuttle coaster? Like De Ja Vu or something? I don't know if you mean coaster or thrill ride? But the Big 6 are awesome. It's just that I think that the Wipeout needs some lubricating or some more maintenance. I visited Dreamworld today and whilst gazing at this fun ride, I heard a lot of creaking. And another thing that I was surprised to see, was that at it's most intense moment, the slow rotation, it did not complete the spin, instead, it practically bailed out and then spun backwards. Although it did continue flipping moments later. Another thing is, with the Big 6, the Motocoaster is rated as a 'medium thrill' ride, and there are more than 5 other 'top thrill' rides in the park. So therefore, is adding the Motocoaster into the Big 6, simply an advertising scheme? And one last thing, I am Australian, and I don't know too much about De Ja Vu.
  20. um, u r probably talkin about someone else cos i only signed up about 3 days ago and I think I read a comment bearing a phrase just like that. Yeah, and also, um, do you know how to upload a profile picture?
  21. I have an awesome idea and blue print for a new, shiny ride at DW. Though, due to the amount of copiers out there, I shall not share my creation, instead, I shall just say that it's going to be a special kind of coaster that kind of fits into the theming of Gold Rush Country, cos everyone should know that there is a rumoour going that a new ride is set to open on the Mine Cart Rides Footprint.
  22. "The Wedgie" at WWW is not a near vertical loop, is instead more of a tight helix or slightly steep 360. Whilst WNW's yet to be named four AquaLOOPS are set to be more like an inversions then spins.
  23. I believe that the TOT and GD are fantastic rides the way they are, the only thing is, a paint job would make then a bit preetier.
