It's school holidays at the moment so it will be more busy than usual, but I'm thinking your best bet is still any day from Monday to Friday. Weekends are usually the worst, but I'm sure someone who goes there much more regularly than me will be able to tell you more. And obviously WnW will be least busy on an overcast or rainy day... -
Sounds like a great concept, I just hope they integrate the whole 3D concept well with this show... Do you guys think it'll be more of an old school cheesy "things popping out of the screen" movie or something more like Avatar? I'm going with old school...

Village Roadshow to sell Sydney Attractions Group
Linus1995 replied to GoGoBoy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
$115 million is more than enough for that B&M we have been waiting for in MW This is a very surprising move though, but it's good to see Merlin getting involved here in Australia. Hopefully this is a sign of more good things to come for our parks, even if it may be all the way down in Sydney! -
fnb? not sure what that is, but he was always a ride op... once on scooby doo then lethal weapon and then batman. hope that helps, and thanks a lot

thats a bit funny that the steam wasnt working, im a bit jealous that you were evacuated though... ive never been evacuated off a ride, although i cant seem to imagine it'd be that great of an experience! off topic: jakeman398 you dont by any chance know of a guy who works at movieworld that goes by the name of chad? im just curious because i remember i used to see him and talk to him everytime i went. he was really awesome and really friendly, but i havent seen him in a while so im just curious if hes still working there

Yeah I see now, I never really took much notice of those buildings and the other day I wondered what they were for. I always knew the rides/trains needed to be maintained somehow but it never occured to me the maintenance bay wouldn't really be enough... Well yeah thanks a lot guys you've really answered my question. While we're on the topic of maintenance and stuff, what do all the (mental blank) ride fixers do? Do they just sit around waiting for a ride to break down or what other jobs would they have on a day to day basis?
-
Oh okay awesome thanks guys! What kind of things would they be maintaining in there? And does Movie World have one too?
-
Hey guys, I was on the Zendorphin facebook page and they were putting some photos up of Dreamworld in 2004, 2005 etc... And I saw that in 2008 a random building popped out and just yeah an area developing and I was wondering what it was being used for. Obviously the area im talking about is in the red rectangle in the photo below, thanks for your help its where Thunderbolt used to be

Completely agree, the level of theming from seaworld and movieworld this year has really been tremendous. Dont forget to include things like fright nights as well... And the the success from this theming is clearly evident too... So hopefully the parks learning something from this and continue to employ a high level of theming in their future attractions (hopefully the one replacing Bermuda triangle)
-
Do you guys think they will keep the same ride system? If so can they still remove the volcano and all the other scenery? Because if it really is a "new attraction" then hopefully they wont do another sea viper and put new cars on and change the colour of the volcano.. I'm hoping a completely new dark ride system! Then again they might just tear the whole thing down and chuck in an up charge
-
Talking about the footers, you guys are so ignorant! It's clearly a dualling b&m... But seriously it's been too long since we've heard about footers in our parks, and now that they do pop up it's for a roof

notice how he says "we are ENTERING our 30th year with..." thats good to hear because that means this isnt the last to come for next year
