  1. Well I just got my calendar, and I'm very impressed! Well worth the $25, thankyou Rich! My mum's in love with the polar bear picture, ~Liam
  2. New cards have been issued out since I got mine in May, which are red and green. On my blue Wonderpass card, it still has The Beastie picture. It's odd to see that Wonderland is still (in a way) advertising a ride that is SBNO. ~Liam
  3. I was told by a source via email that a new carnival type ride will temporarily replace Taz for the holidays. This could be the reason for the sign removal. Once the holidays are over, Taz will come back. ~Liam
  4. The pic was taken by me (all photos of Wonderland on OzCoaster are ). I'm hoping it has absolutely nothing to do with the parade. I want something more extreme than a few characters driving around on buggies. Then again, they did drive around as if it were a parade (waving to the people etc). ~Liam
  5. Yeah, I was told that the ride had little chance of survival. Apparently they couldn't get the ride operational again. It'll be missed, I had some great fun on that ride. However, I would love to see the lion cub area extended. Judging by yesterday's crowd huddled around the area, this area will be successful as the polar bears are at Sea World. Bye Tassie ~Liam
  6. All Marvel characters were all following Spiderman on buggies (Elektra, Hulk etc). I believe it started yesterday. It's kinda scary to think that this is the marvel parade though, because I would be very disappointed if it was. ~Liam
  7. My photos are now up on OzCoaster. Thanks to Ian for taking the time to put them up!
  8. "That's a little strange if you're asking me"- Hello Hello, The Cat Empire Rich, I'm sure you've heard of the motel place I'm talking about. It's called F1 or something like that. ~Liam
  9. Please do! That'd be great fun to meet up with you. There's some cheap overnight accomadation around the area, some going for only $60 or so a night (keep in mind it's only a bed, shower and toilet). ~Liam
  10. I took today's trip for one reason - to see the new lion cubs. The area for the cubs is fantastic, much better than I imagined. I ended up standing there for an hour photographing the area. However, the cubs were a real pain to photograph since they kept moving around. Keep checking OzCoaster reguarly for the photos! Now onto other issues. The park is really hyping the whole Spiderman thing. There are two gigantic Spiderman signs on the structure of Bush Beast and the Beach tower. On top of the turnstiles roof are two Spiderman and Hulk pictures. Also, a TV crew were filming Spiderman and two "Wonderland kids". They were filming just infront of the waterfall (near Space Probe's entrance) where Spiderman did flips etc. Once again, keep checking OzCoaster for photos. I took my first ride on the rehabbed red train on Bush Beast today. Although smother than it was before, the red train is rougher than the yellow train. However the trim brake has once again been set to not completely stop the train! Now onto Space Probe. Car 2 is now out of rehab with some noticeable adjustments. The car now goes much faster when going up. Imagine this, when car 2 reaches the top of the tower, cars 1 & 3 are only halfway up the tower. This leaves car 2 at the top for around 10 seconds rather than the usual 5. While we're on the subject of Space Probe, I managed to get my 500 rides goal. I left today with a ride count of 504! Thanks, ~Liam
  11. I received my Summer Wonderblast yesterday. It had information that we already knew, but something caught my eye. There were 2 pages focusing on the spiderman character, mentioning all the 'stats' and whatnot. Could this be some kind of hint that a new major attraction is coming for Wonderland (show, ride)? With the scaffolding going on at the Action Arena I'm leaning towards a new Spiderman show. ~Liam
  12. Nice photos! It's a bummer that the place was closed. Was this due to weather, or is it only open on weekends? Keep that camera rolling, ~Liam
  13. If I were to run the park, I sure as hell wouldn't add a new attraction one month before closing. Why would you waste all your money on something that didn't benefit in the long run? I would keep the money instead of wasting it. ~Liam
  14. Wow! Very nice. I've always wanted to purchase a faller model, but they just looked to fragile and must be a pain in the butt to put together. I have the K'nex Screamin' Serpent & Rippin' Rocket. I'll also be getting the K'nex musical ferris wheel for christmas. These models are great fun to put together, I actually am quite sad when I finish building them! ~Liam
  15. Go to www.----URL removed for non-compliance with Community Guidelines---- and click on the popup. The link should take you to a survey, where you rate the Wonderland site. For completing the survey, you will be in the draw to win one of 10 family Wonderpasses. Once you've completed the survey, you will be automatically directed to your own personal Wonderland area. Go check it out, it's worth a look. ~Liam
  16. I'll be taking pictures of the show on Saturday, but they'll be on OzCoaster ~Liam "the lion cubs are only 3 days away!" Schembri
  17. I'm not saying that it would effect how the brakes work. I'm just saying that maybe because the red train hasn't yet received the modifications the yellow train has, it isn't capable of going that little bit faster. Just a thought, correct me if I'm wrong mate. Thanks. ~Liam
  18. Don't forget the variation of chicken wings! I've been waiting for them all my life! [/sarcasm] It's true what Joz said about our parks, they have to be the most well maintained parks on Earth. My dad's friend who lives in the US actually stopped over in Australia for a couple of weeks and did some of the parks here (I think it was Sea World, Movie World and Dreamworld). He said that the quality of our parks are outstanding, and don't even come close to the standards of American parks. However, something is needed that will put Australia on the map. ~Liam
  19. It was a temporary adjustment that was made about 3 weeks ago. About the same time the ride was made smoother. I'm guessing that the red train hasn't had the modifications the yellow train has had, so they've set the trim brake to stop the train completely again. ~Liam
  20. The mid course trim was modified a little to bring the train down to about 3km/h rather than completely stopping. It made a great difference to the ride. Unfortunately, the trims have been set to completely stop you again (from what I saw on Sunday). ~Liam
  21. My photos of the new additions are now up at OzCoaster ~Liam
  22. Bleh, the arrow fishhook on the side of the tower would have been better. A 900 foot vertical drop sounds much better than a sea-saw (X-Scream). What bugs me about the ride is it's name. Too many parks (or hotels) are abusing the "x" to make the ride "cool". Xcelerator, X, X-Scream.. when will they end? Anyway, the ride looks quite thrilling. ~Liam
  23. Expect to see pictures soon on OzCoaster Wonderbus, what time did BB open up? I left at 1:30, and it was still closed. Do you know what was going on? ~Liam
  24. Just got back from today's visit, and yes ofcourse I have photos! They couldn't get Bush Beast up and running today, the red train kept getting stuck on the bottom of the lift hill. There was a lot of testing going on. Unfortunately the train does once again stop on the turn around. I have some pictures of nearly everything you mentioned, including the scaffolding going on with the action arena. I will send the photos to Ian as soon as possible. ~Liam
  25. WOW! That's a fantastic design. Send my congratulations to whoever designed it (Simon?). I'm curious to know how you will do these updates so frequently. Uploading will take quite some time (unless you're somehow getting cable access?). Well done, ~Liam
