  1. I saw the commercial tonight on Ten. There were two variations of it. The theme was soft in the background. The first version just had the dog... err... things planning the park in their lab. The second version has park footage with the... err... dog things on the rides.
  2. WOW! I didn't catch Sunrise so thanks a lot for the video! The park is looking great. I'm looking forward to riding those attractions myself. Once again thanks for the footage!
  3. Wow, that sounds great. Would be good just to ride the Batwing Spaceshot! The Halloween event was great, so I'd definately love to go to this one too!
  4. Splash Mountain at Disneyland. I love that ride. Especially the dark section inside. I also love how the music is themed to the ride and when you're going up the hill to the drop they've got that ominous music. So cool. (Except we accidently got Fast Passes for Winnie the Pooh instead... oops. ) Also that one at Knott's was pretty intense. Got photos of myself soaking wet and freezing. (We went on it in winter... eep. )
  5. Another notable coaster was Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags: Magic Mountain. The queue was pretty damn packed. My sister and I waited and I was secretly VERY nervous - watching the carriages full of screaming, standing people constantly go past. Worst part of the ride was the first hill, not knowing what to expect. Turned out to be one of the best rides there!
  6. Sets look crap at the best of time - it's usually the lighting that sells the illusion.
  7. There's something especially awesome about Ghost Rider at Knott's Berry Farm. I love California Screamin' too. I don't know... don't make me choose.
  8. Well yeah, but the mother's reaction cracks me up.
  9. If you miss out on GD and ToT, you're missing out on the Dreamworld experience.
  10. You can choose where you sit. Just have to wait longer. Front seat is great. Nothing in front of you or below you. Scary.
  11. Yeah, no one can argue that it's not rough - but it's definately worth a ride. The queue moves pretty damn fast as well and they run two trains. The worst part IMO is the first hill where you brace yourself for the ride to come. Definately a quality ride, though.
  12. Backwards drop on Wild West is much better at night - it reminded me of Splash Mountain at Disney with that completely darkened section.
  13. I thought about it, but figured it'd be a better use of time to go on the rides. Selfish? Hell yeah!
  14. Oh, man - one of the ride ops seemed seriously stressed out last night on Lethal Weapon. But the line moved fast, so job well done!
  15. Man, I had a freakin' awesome time. I went on the second night with a group of friends. The rides are so much more atmospheric at night - especially Wild West. Scooby's queue was pretty intense - but a good night was had by all. Lethal Weapon was great as usual. First time on Superman Escape... at night! Was awesome. Way to go Movie World! Bring on '07. Hopefully it'll be opened longer next time so we can fit all the rides in! (But we completed the night with pizza and watching The Goonies - can't complain. ) The park looked awesome, btw. Really atmospheric.
  16. The novalty of rides in the dark would probably be lost but I think they could do a superior Halloween type night Universal Studios and Knott's Berry Farm have.
  17. I'm gonna go with a group of friends... some will be interstate around X-Mas so probably wait until early January...

Everyone's planning their trips for December.
  19. I guess Universal Studios released lots of concept art and stuff about Revenge of the Mummy and etc. But as long as OzCoaster and Roller-Coaster.com.au continue what they're doing it doesn't matter that much...
  20. Whoa, the roller-coaster section of Superman... rocks. Can't wait for the theming.
  21. Nah, broadcasters promote the ride to a much bigger demographic. Not just a niche group of fans... like us.

Damn. Too bad. The ride's fairly rough as well. But it's still one of my favourites...
