  1. I've no idea, but there seems to be a few people around of late that are really pushing the boundaries on what their employment allows them to share online... I hope for their sake they don't go too far, or slip up and are caught out by their employers... As for the video, WOW, I hadn't looked up what this ride was until now and I have to say, I am waaay unimpressed. Why on earth DW would build this I have no idea. It's basically a shuttle, which they already have. The ride experience (apart from the lift and inversion) is mostly similar to the motions of a half pipe or disco, which they are building and there is down the road. The lift system looks like a maintenance and reliability nightmare (Veoma GIB anyone?), and having ridden an X Car coaster, that I thought was pretty damn aweful, and that inverted lift really added nothing. I just don't get it. Given they also make one of the best spinning mouse ever, I have no idea why you would choose this ride. Sure glad it's not my company that's building it!
  2. You wouldn't be allowed to fill in that 'creek' or divert it, too important for storm water flow.
  3. Both companies usually seem to drop their price in the first 1/4 of the calendar year with their passes. I'd say if they passes continue next fiscal year (which I can't see why not) they would likely go back to the full price of around 100 bucks for the first 6 months or so. All this is just speculation on my part however.
  4. I think the fact that 40 odd enthusiast from America recently visited and said Dreamworld was a solid well rounded park. They also said MW just needed 1 or 2 more major attractions... They never said either park needed attractions bigger than they currently have. I'd love to see a big full circuit coaster here but I don't think it's feasible in our current market.
  5. Those markers would be indicating where power cables currently ARE not where they need to be installed...
  6. When it comes to coasters I usually find Robb and Elissa's opinions to be pretty spot on. This whole discussion kinds of amuses me because forgive me if I'm wrong but absolutely nothing of the manufacturer or model of coaster is confirmed by anyone right? All this is being judged on speculation, some obscure sticker photos and some fencing? And already it's fact and we're arguing over how DW have cheapened out on the model?
  7. I've already said that that information from an alternate site is not true or accurate.
  8. I think I can say it's not either if those two things. Can't say more though I'm sorry.
  9. I didn't say it was called that, I said I don't know ANYONE who has been referring to it as Project X. My objection was to the cocky 'I know something you don't know' nature of your post, which suggests many people know about this project and have a code name for it, which isn't really true. Posts like that only serve to put down other members that don't know the information you claim to, I don't like that.
  10. We?? I haven't heard anyone call anything 'project x'. And if the park hasn't announced anything then yes, that would make it secret.
  11. That's awkward... How did it get stuck??
  12. Maybe the construction crew everyone has been wanting pictures for from dreamworld messed up their gps and dug here instead?? There has been a lot of roadwork crews digging out by the road entrance, maybe it's part of whatever they are doing??
  13. Technology was most certainly around for a button drilled into a microphone back then But you're probably right about the acting thing.
  14. Whilst the presenters usually did a great job, I never understood why they didn't make a simple system for the presenter to start the dialogue. Whatever works I guess
  15. Yeah his recording starts a predetermined amount of time after the entry doors close.
  16. I notice DW had these books too. I probably should pick them up given I have nealry 20 year old versions of the same in my cupboard.
  17. ^ ^ Perhaps if this thread didn't keep appearing with new posts only to find they offer nothing of what the OP was after he wouldn't keep asking. Seriously if you guys want to discuss this years Royal ride lineup, why not start a thread for it?
  18. I couldn't tell the difference between the old cycle and what it was doing last week either.
  19. HAHA picturing a SLC themed to Harry Potter just cracks me up!
  20. Probably clearer to say an emergency exit is being used as a temp entrance so as not to confuse with the actual ride exit. It's currently a long walk from the exit to entrance. Enter via superman and NOT lethal alley. Can't say how long for sorry. Just telling what can currently be seen if you visit the park.
  21. At the moment the entrance is by Superman (just left of the alley between lethal and superman) but it's temporary. Construction walls block that alley and it appears work is being done there. The que rails are now gone from the front of the theatre.
  22. This isn't a re-branding of the ride and has nothing to do with new trains though. Also the exit hasn't changed, the entrance just has and is temporary at the moment.
  23. Can we just put the rulers and 'other things' away? I don't think it adds anything to the topic of this thread.
  24. I wondered how long it would take one of these threads to start, I was actually just thinking the other day that I can't believe no one is asking this... I of course comment one way or another but given how public DW seems to be with their plans, you'd think MW would surely be cooking up something.
  25. It's always handy that DW submit their DAs through GCCC rather than private firms like MW does so the keen enthusiast can see what theyre up to I think a Disk O is a GREAT addition to Dreamworld. And it's kind of smart, means Gold Coasters have NO reason to go up to Aussie World to ride the Disk O and can instead go to dreamworld and in park spend instead As far as the other ride, I'd be 99.9% sure its a family friendly coaster, thrilling but not too over the top and that it will go in the Gold Rush area and be clearly visible from the car park when finished...
