  1. Don't get me wrong...I'm really looking forward to this ride, and think its a great addition. My point was that MW just isn't letting up with the new additions, DW will need to keep up with them is all.
  2. Could we maybe see two circuits of the track? Dual stations would help make this possible wouldn't it? That said, every time the track turns past 90 degrees, it could be counted as a new turn? Can't wait to ride this one! Dreamworld certainly need to start stepping things up though; can they not see everything that is happening just down the road? They do say ignorance is bliss.
  3. Not sure if this had been posted about yet. Thought some of you might find it interesting though. May not even be news to most of you. Here is it anyway. Paramount to develop Korea theme park Friday May 11 06:09 AEST Hollywood film studio Paramount Pictures Corp. said on Thursday it will explore developing a South Korean theme park with a local partner, in what would be the entertainment company's first amusement resort outside North America. Details here Not sure if this had been posted about yet. Thought some of you might find it interesting though. May not even be news to most of you. Here is it anyway.
  4. Ok so I was watching TV, channel 10, and there was an ad for a 'Happy Feet Spectacular' at MW. Have I been living under a rock, or has there been no news on this as yet? It is just like a show or is there something special about it? Anyone know anything?
  5. This could be a great addition to Dreamworld, but will be really need to be someting special to set it apart from Superman. But where will it go? The old Blue Lagoon area seems a viable option. Then there's the possibility of the Eureka site, should it be closed for good.
  6. Amazons WAS a waterpark in Jindalee, Brisbane. It's now a housing development :-(
  7. Gazza, I'm with you on this one. These plans, should the come to fruition, will make Jamberoo a park that dreams are made of! The line-up is extremely impressive; not only do u have all the top attractions in the WORLD today, but they are all together, connected by a lazy river system. Morever, if you look closely at the 'Tornady Alley' attraction; from my understanding that's two smaller funnels joined together to form one kick-a$$ ride! Sounds alright to me ;-) Will it happen? ? ? We can but dream. . .
  8. Only 2-3 minutes? That's a shame. When I saw the brief ad it sounded as if it were a whole program. Im quite disappointed now. Sorry guys, didn't mean to get your hopes up. Guess I shoulda looked for a little more info aside from the ad. Should still be good regardless.
  9. Not sure if this has been posted about yet, but I couldn't see anything. Tonight on channel 7 at 6pm they are doing a 'Flashback' special all about our themeparks. From what I saw there is coverage of DW, SW, MW and WNW when they first opened, and I'm guessing it will be a form of historical account of where they have come since then. I think this is great and will certainly be tuning in. I can't wait to see actual footage of what the parks were like back then, and not just my memories. Thought some of you might be interested. . .
  10. Could you two be any more immature about this? I mean seriously! The WHOLE IDEA of having forums such as these is so that people can ask questions and have them answered, maybe, with any luck, by someone who is quite knowlegeable on the subject. Now if you feel that the question asked may seem foolish or ill-informed, ignore it! There is absolutely no reason to judge and call names, you might as well just move to Canberra and take up politics considering the two of you seem to mimic their juvenile outbursts quite accurately, if only with a little more colour.
  11. Ok so I was looking at the map, and I know this may not be the best place to ask this question. But is is just land between Lethal Weapon and Wild West Falls?
  12. I was at the spit on Saturday and the Seaworld Eye looks fantastic! It really stands out and in the best possible way. Plus I think they were testing it as it was moving every now and then, unless of course they had a soft opening? I doubt it though.
  13. Thanks GoGoBoy, and I agree Cave of Waves looks great! I'm really looking forward to seeing B.R.O when it's done. Any of the M.A.P holders going on Tuesday? Any and all pics would be GREATLY appreciated ;-)
  14. I was at the spit on Sunday and all I could see was a small-ish crane near the Pirate Ship. Is it just me or are all the parks getting things up REALLY fast these days. Whitewater World came together REALLY fast, Batwing almost flew up (pardon the pun) and now the Seaworld Eye. Good on all the parks! Great to see!
  15. Congrats to all Max Action Pass holders! ! ! I hate you all sooooooo much right now. Tell me you are all going to take this opporunity? Call in sick to work, do whatever you've got to do. I mean c'mon, its the first new park in over a decade and you all get to experience it before the general public!
  16. Looks awesome. Thanks for the pics! Can't wait to ride this thing!
  17. I'm not sure if anyone has posted anything on this yet, so I'll tell as much as I know. It seems the Southbank lagoon area in Brisbane is undergoing a slight expansion. I had a quick look on the internet, but didn't find anything. However, from the concept art it looks as though they are installing some form of lazy river with a waterplay structure in the middle. I think i saw something about jungle sounds and water features. I'll have a scout around and try and find some more information. I think this will be a great addition. The area is already massively popular, especially during summer. Anything to increase the areas capacity is a great move forward. Any thoughts?
  18. And it's still the same old boring website it always was. I thought at least with the downtime they would have updated it a bit!
  19. How about a Dukes of Hazzard coaster, could be along the lines of the "Italian Job" coasters at Paramount parks? A Catwoman ride could go down well with the recent continuance of the whole Batman theme, maybe a coaster with inversions or a nice flatty? I think a Tarzan or Phantom woodie would be GREAT as well! I also think when 'Ghost Ship' came out they could have done something great with that. Like one of those MASSIVE 320 person inverter pirate ships. Could have enclosed it and had all kinds of special effects. I guess they could do that with Pirates of the Carribbean as well. Just some thoughts.
  20. As cool as it might be, I doubt it could happen, it would be WAY too stressful on the animals. I don't think a ride could be anywhere near them could it? I might be wrong. . .
  21. I'm really looking forward to watching everything unfold.
  22. I certainly hope they aren't closing Eureka permanently! It's a Dreamworld classic and, I think, a REALLY GREAT ride! Sure it's a little rough but it somehow, now matter how many times I ride it, is ALWAYS fun. Maybe I'm being nostalgic as it's the first ever 'coaster' I went on, my buil-dup to Thunderbolt, but I really hope it stays. Admittedly thought it could do with a bit of a re-vamp.
  23. I think the names are actually ok. Going on the names sounds like the theming will be sorta like 50'-60's beach culture. Could work quite well. And Coaster Boy 6 - "Green Room" is a surfing reference. When a surfer gets a tube (a waves that stays fully formed and curls over the rider) they call the inside of the tube 'the green room'. P.S - heading to the coast in bout an hour, will take some pics if it looks like there's something more since Richard's massive update!
  24. What company did rush hour? That could make a good addition, the second one wasn't too long ago and apparently there will be a third.
  25. I'll try my best, plans aren't cemented yet though. It's not hard to get down there so if not tomorrow, sometime soon for sure!
