  1. Yep and I am sure Dreamworld people want to compete with wnw as quick as possible and make money as quick as possible.
  2. Thanks, seems like a logical thought though. You would think though that they would want to compete with the Summer Pass from wvtp which is $99 and gives you access to two parks (which would be the same as dw/www) over 3 days. But maybe they might come out with some more passes if it's successful in the first month or two? (or even not so successful as that would probably make better sense) but for the average person it's just a matter of value; on one hand you've got a well known, well established water park for $40 or a brand new, unknown waterpark which has 2 Australian firsts and even a world first for $4 more. (providing the prices are correct and everything). I hope it does open early, though. Oh, does anyone know what they plan to do for the pathing? I hope they put something softer than what wnw have.
  3. Oh it's no problem with the pic..better than nothing I don't think so. I think it'll be open at least December 10th. If almost everything is done than I can't see them just letting it sit there for another month and a half doing nothing. That in reality, is a waste of money.
  4. But don't forget guys www have slides that have never been here so the majority of people who will visit wnw might choose www just to ride these Australian/World firsts. I know if it opens while I am up there in 6 weeks I'll def choose www over wnw even though wnw would be cheaper. Would rather pay an extra $10 or whatever and go on slides I haven't been on before than save $10 and go to a park that I've been to heaps of times. If it's not open than the only reason why I'll be going to wnw is to ride the tornado..considering www have one of those as well it wouldn't be a hard choice to make. I do think they would have to advertise that they have all these cool australian first slides to make it known to people that simply don't know.
  5. I hope it opens early even though it's not in my budget to go there but who sticks to budgets these days when it comes to hoilidays Thanks for the pic, is the bowl the dark area at the bottom of the cyclone loop?
  6. If you can't that's ok, we understand Maybe they weren't suppose to mention the training for the lifegaurds yet? or maybe they are just 'saving' that update for later on?
  7. Be appreciated if you could take some pics and post them So the bowl is going to be purple and red? that's a suprising colour choice given that they've chosen bright aqua type colours for the rest of the park.
  8. Would the rides even operate? most of them are outdoors and don't really operate when it rains and considering it usually does rain during winter they wouldn't be able to keep the rides open.
  9. I think a waterpark would be great for Victoria but a full time park wouldn't survive...would be great though. It is a shame ProSlide and siad companies only just realised there is a market down here but wouldn't that also be the parks fault (wnw/www) because dont they have to go to the companies and be like "hey we want a tornado, how much?" or whatever?
  10. Good times indeed. Been ages since I was there last. Last time it was 26.9 degrees and they wouldn't operate the waterslide until it hit 27 exactly, cousin had a little hissy fit over it and as we were leaving they were opening the slide up. Loved it there though, not as grat as wnw but for something in Geelong it was great. Eh Melbourne's weather isn't as bad as you interstaters think but it's only a matter of time before there is another park (water or wonderland style) in Sydney.
  11. Does anyone know what happened to the other water park that use to be in Geelong? I think it was called Geelong Water World or something...use to be really good..two long and big water slides outside (which only operated if the temp was 27+), outside swimming pools (laps), outside kiddie pools, indoor lap and kiddie pool plus diving area..
  12. The shark is gone? it adds to the theming. Have they replaced the computer or upgraded the software? because everytime I go on it it's always the same cycle, I even went on it twice in a row and it was the same but that was back in June of this year so they could've changed it since than.
  13. That wasn't rude and they didn't need to be sorted through pm, the posts with Aidan had something to do with www; we were discussing the world/australian firsts which I believe are at www. Um excuse me but you said "the part im talking about" and I did not see a post from you talking about the waves.
  14. It's funny to watch first timers try and pull the harness down on SE because it's heavier than they expect it to be and than when they get off they want to run back in and go on it again and they complain at how slow the harness rises.
  15. Pass holders can't enter??? I entered that, got no chance of winning but as they say you gotta be in it to win it. Anyone know the opening date yet or is it still up in the air?
  16. What do you mean the part you are talking about? Myk is the one that mentioned the wall at who my question was directed too..or are you the same person?
  17. This forum is actually about roller coasters and other fun stuff in the world, this THREAD however is about WWW but there hasn't been an argument since like page 7. How big is the wall? (if you have to take a guess)
  18. Ok that's weird, I could have sworn my post quoted someone else asking what the other world firsts was and not you Aidan..that's just weird. Well sorry for the misunderstanding any how Aidan.
  19. I get that all the time when I go on Cyclone and LW, it gets popped tighter only after going through the helix and the loop on LW. Come pretty far off the seat before it clicks down too.
  20. Than why did you say "Who said they were world firsts?" if you already knew?
  21. Has anyone been to the parks during Schoolies? I'm going up during than and just want a general idea of how busy they usually get..
  22. Correct me if I am wrong anyone but aren't the other slides Australian firsts and not world firsts?
  23. When I first went on LW I was sitting watching the movie trying to convince myself the ride was safe and I couldn't fall out of the harness, my brother wouldn't even let me watch the ride before hand and going up the lift hill I was pressing my harness down to make sure it was locked in properly. Definately wasn't eager to ride it for the first time.
  24. I think the green/aqua colour goes well with a water park and the bright colours give it that 'fun' feeling. Using the cyclone space brings the cyclone more into the park imo.
  25. Well yeah what I should've said is isn't high speed apart of what a thrill ride is. But I never thought Scooby was a family coaster, my mum hates it, think's its too fast.
