  1. It is entirely possible to beat disney quality, the only thing stopping people is money, end of story.
  2. I thought you said themeing wasnt neccesarry.
  3. Rich is pretty much right. Roughness can be caused by something called "hunting" where the wheel assemblies dont completley line up with the track, so one of the wheels wil be momentairly be out of contact with the track, and if this keeps happening the tiny movments and vibrations translate into roughness. there is no danger to anyone because the other wheels remove the possibility of derailment.
  4. What sort of layout does the raft slide have?
  5. Yeah, i agree, it could very well be saved, but you seem to be working by the assumption that it will actually be operated. If it is operated, will it be financially feasible? If it isnt the operator cant sell it because its under a heratiage order so the land cant be used for other uses/not feasible to operate so they will be left in debt and with a very expenisve white elephant. With these risks involved, who would buy it in the first place?
  6. The reason why disney can do it is because of their large visitation rates and because of the larger financial backing that they will risk, Australian parks can be nice, but i dont think the whole park could be as good as disney, maybe an indivdual ride. Also, with the current lot of parks we have, i dont think they would have the drive to, if they can still make lots of money by operating a park marred by many issues, then why bother improving. I would love to see a disney type park here, but i dont know if it will happen.
  7. Hmm, parents will be amazed when they see their kids on it. Has it got something to do with kids eating their vegies?
  8. Huss, thats not all, theres gonna be a break dance, one of those wierd double ferris wheels, a multi lane slide, a parachute drop, and a lift off type ride. http://www.atmania.com/rct3soakedgallery/
  9. Is it like old time photos at DW, but with movie costumes instead?
  10. What were the 10 coasters, and was Richard our Richard?
  11. First, ditch the idea about opening directly, it doesnt work, Do this instead, ill make it nice and simple, First, open up roller coaster tycoon 2. When it has all loaded up and you are at the games main menu there are four big icons, the one at the far right is a red toolbox, click on it and a drop down menu will appear, from the drop down menu pick "Track design manager" This will bring you to a new menu, this has a list of every ride type in the game, pick the dinghy slide, then at the top right corner click on the "Install Track Design" button. This will open the file browser, navigate to wherever you have put the file, when you have found it, double click on the file, this will install it into RCT2. Now it is installed, quit the track design manager and you will be back at the main menu, click on the toolbox, and from the drop down menu, pick roller coaster designer, from there open the track, place it in the building area and you should be right. Hope this Helps
  12. Hmmm, if it had cone nosed cars it could have been a vekoma, was it like this one? http://www.rcdb.com/m/ig271.htm?picture=2
  13. And in case you didn't know Paul, the Small Screen refers to TV.
  14. I think it will be ok to go on the sunday, i dont think this time of the year would be too busy anyway. Corkscrew never seems to get bad queues.
  15. So, when do you get the game to play?
  16. Sky Wheel at Skyline park springs to mind.
  17. I mean just clicking on the file in explorer or whatever. Another thing to try is to use the track design manager in RCT2 under the toolbox at the main menu.
  18. How do you know it makes millions of dollars? can you give me a source (such as a financial report by MCL or Network 10 that says this? There are enough people that like it to have those eviction shows, but i think the majority with a brain dislikes the show.
  19. I didnt even know it existed! what was the story?
  20. I think we have established that.
  21. Can someone try changing mine to RCT3 and posting it for me so Teki can view it, thanks. BTW, you could just try opening the track directly.
  22. Yeah, the Maurer Sohne X car spinning version can go upside down, and all with only lap bars.
  23. Lift hills are cheaper than a launch by far, they operate at lower and more constant speeds, and so can offer years of trouble free use. I assuming that Hydraulics are cheaper since they have been adopted by the two biggest manufacturers: intamin and vekoma, they would also use less energy than the huge amounts needed to run rides like TOT, plus be kept cool. hydraulic is more reliable than magnetic IMO, im mean, they got Xcellerator to work ok and it was a prototype, but S:TE at SFMM took ages to get it working well, i think it opened a year late. Hydraulics are the wave of the future.
